It seems I have hit a new leaf. Maybe exploded would be a better word?
No matter, what I am trying to get at is this: even Joker considers me too insane for Arkham. The crazed man becomes petrified around me. It is nothing to brag about. But I can’t help that my demeanor has its own air to it. That air is suffocating and has a nasty hint of, nearby, death to it.
I hadn’t even said anything to Joker. The guards say that I am the quietest one in this asylum. All I had done was look at him. My gaze had barely grazed his, but I guess a millisecond of eye-to-eye contact was enough to make Joker break down. Supposedly, my eyes had shown Joker a million horrible things…
There is a slamming noise that brings me back to present. I look around, with relaxing blue eyes, to only see the shadows. My room is small compared to the others.
To make matters even better, there isn’t a single piece of furniture and it’s always dark. At least I haven’t lost my tan pigment, yet.
“I know someone is in here. It would be best for you to step into the open.” I state. My voice is soft yet even – one that doesn’t belong to a shouter. The open would be a small circle of light in the center of my room. The ceiling is at least thirty feet over my head, so the wide lamp is out of my reach…unless I wanted to work for it by running up the wall. But like I said, that would require work.
The figure does as I had commanded, and walks into the spotlight. I am still hidden in the darkness, but he knows where I am…I know he does.
“How old are you, Sullivenn?” is his first question. Even his voice is powerful and intimidating. But his eyes don’t meet mine. So, he was warned.
I let the silence settle before shattering it. “I will be turning sixteen in two weeks. That is if I don’t get killed first.” I allow a tone of pouting to escape with the words. For being fifteen, I am taller for my age and built muscular yet lean. Better described as a model’s figure – at least that is what I have been told.
“Killed? You? I hear that is a difficult task.” The masked man responds. There it is, the eye contact. A chill creeps up my spine, and the goose bumps are quick to follow. A shuddering breath is released as my irises become slender shapes – similar to a cat’s. My eyes swirl with a strange yellow color, and pulsate with envious green. They glow in the shadows, the only part of me visible now.
I watch as Batman is instantly dropped to his knees, all color escaping his face. Several armored men charge into the room, all of them wearing strange face plates – most likely to avoid my “power”. Two of them pin me against the wall, their freezing cold fingers wrapping over most of my face, except for my nose and mouth.
The sounds of almost silent footsteps tell me that Batman is back to his feet.
I hiss between my teeth as there is a slight tug on my medium length, black, hair.
“What was that?” Batman’s words aren’t directed towards me.
But I answer anyway. “I don’t even know. It happens whenever I make eye contact with someone.” I let out an oomph as a guard’s hand slips down to punch me in the gut. They are trying to shut me up. But I keep going. “I tried to wear sunglasses, even a blindfold. But it still didn’t work. My power seems to radiate or something. I have no clue what has been going on for the past couple of months. I killed six inmates last week by just glaring at them. Please, help me.” There is another fist, but this time it is directed towards my skull. I can feel the burst of air and the power of the fist. But it is forced to a stop. I am able to see again, and look to my sides to see all of the guards knocked out.
Before I can look at Batman, he has me under his armpit. Suddenly, we are taking off.
“Who is this?” the old man questions. He is clearly a butler…not only can I tell by his clothing but also by the way his posture is. His question is directed at Batman.
My attention wanders around, not settling to see the smaller details. But we are in a cave. A cave! This is so cool!
“His name is Sullivenn. He was at Arkham Asylum when he shouldn’t have been.” Batman’s voice reveals distaste.
It is my turn to interrogate. “So why did you save me anyways? And why after two months…”
“I was told of Joker’s complaints. I researched information on you. But I didn’t learn anything about your power.” Batman starts to drift off, talking about more complicated things like “hypotheses in neurobiology and quantum brainwaves”. None of it really made sense to me, so I zone him out. He noticed this, and quickly shuts up.
“Alfred, can you please examine him?” Batman wonders aloud. The butler, Alfred, gives a solemn nod. He strides over to a chair, and drags it over to us. He gestures for me to sit, and I do so. Comfortable. Very comfy.
“Don’t look straight into his eyes.” Batman warns.
“I am going to have to, sir.” Alfred gives a dry response.
“I can try and shut it down…” I clear my throat. Batman looks at me in slight surprise. “I don’t want to hurt you guys…but you are going to have to hurry with whatever you plan on doing. Because I can only hold it back for a couple of seconds.”
Alfred seems to contemplate my suggestion. “That is all I need. Tell me when you are ready.” My eyes have been shut this entire time. Finally, I open them and state quickly “Now.”
The man moves in, swiftly and abruptly. He is like a fisher using no more than his hands. His fingers wrap around my skull, and pull my eyelids away from my optics. His gaze is directly into mine, and we stay like that for what feels like forever. Finally, he pulls away and gasps wildly.
“Are you alright Alfred?” Batman worries. He places a hand against the elder’s shoulder, to help him keep balanced. But the butler gives reassuring nods.
“His mind works differently from ours. It isn’t his eyes, but his mind. Eye contact is just another, simpler, way for his ‘psychic abilities’ to pass from him to another.”
Alfred states, wiping his hands on his pants. My face is pretty disgusting from not getting a shower or bath for weeks.
Name: Delirium
Age: eternal (has lived since the first human went crazy)
gender: Female
race: one of the Endless (the living Aspects of Human kind)
Power:control of the insane, Dominion over the creatures of a broken mind.
Appearence: http://th04.deviantart.net/fs8/300W/i/2005/274/4/2/The_Endless__Delirium_by_thegirlinthebigbox.jpg
History: She used to be Delight, full of happiness and joy, but after years of unlimited bliss her mind started to snap, she started to combined things that where already delightful, her mind snapped creating Delirium. the moment she went mad, the first crazy man lost his mind, being so full of joy that even the ugliest act of violence fills like fun. although her existence creates utter chaos, she isn't evil. she is just doing what comes natural to her.
(Oooo nice! We can turn this into an RP of sorts but more story-like...so you can type up her stuff and I will continue with my character...does that make sense?)
Delirium chapter 1:
the joker laughed crazily as the guards locked him up in his private cell.
Delirium grew out of the darkness and instantly the cell became full of pink light. the walls had several diffrent patterns of wall paper on it and two cushy chairs appeared where the bed and the toilet had been. "Hi there clowny, long time no see." she said giggling.
"well well, if it isn't my favorite little freak. Delirium, I thought I told you last time that I could care less about the decision I made when I was sane."Joker said.
"oh, but jokey, you don't really have a say in the matter. you see, I own you. I asked my sissy death to leave you alone, in return you where driven insane, remember? now I am calling in a favor."Delirium said floating around the room as she spoke.
"you see there is a boy in this asylum, someone who is being driven, well towards my direction, and I don't want him to have to live with that insanity. I Beleive you have already met him, he almost killed you, with his eye."
"THAT LITTLE BRAT! What, do you want me to kill him? oh I hope so, please say you..."
"no I don't want you to kill him, if I wanted him dead My sister would take care of that for me. I need you to start complaining about him, There is a man who will listen, one of the few people who broke out of my grips, if anyone can save him from insanity, it's that one guy who dresses like a bat."
"Batman? you want me to complain about some kid, to the bat?"
"no not the bat, you just complain to the guards, and they will tell batman." Delirium said "I know, my brother Destiny told me this was the only way to save him, after I showed him through the hidden part of the garden of destiny."Delirium laughed. "I could force you joker, remember that." she laughed.
I was handed a meal. It looked like heaven to me. But the butler said it wasn't anything fancy, as he wouldn't cook something over the top for someone from the asylum...I don't blame him. But it was still the best damn thing I've had in months!
"So, Sully." Batman begins. But I am quick to cut him off right there. "Please, don't call me Sully again. Venn is alright, just not Sully." I practically snarl. Batman takes a mental note, and nods before continuing.
"Venn. How did you end up in Arkham?" Batman questions. I want to ask him why he won't take his mask off already...but it's his turn...
I sigh, almost silently. Then I answer. "It was about four months ago when it first happened. I saw strange visions...of people's deaths. My friends and family told me I was just crazy, and joked around. But when all of the deaths came true, they suddenly worried. But I started being blamed for these random deaths. Maybe I was the cause...they were people I had wanted dead before...but I didn't think it would actually happen." My voice tightens as I continue. "Then it escalated...I would just look at someone and they dropped dead. Some people just saw things that made them paralyzed with fear, and others lost their own sanity. My parents, terrified, threw me into Arkham. They told me it was for my own good...but it was actually for theirs."
"I see." Batman says, his voice dry. He clears his throat. "Alfred, why don't you get him a change of clothes and start up a bath?"
The butler nods before leaving this so-called batcave. I look at my feet, in hopes that I wouldn't have to hurt anyone else today.
-Delirium 2-
Delirium looked around the house, it was where the family lived, each bedroom door was actually an opening to a specific universe. Dreams room was the most frequented world, being the door people open when they close their eyes and sleep. lusts was open seductivly, waiting for her next victim to pass through the arch unsuspecting. and Deliriums, her door had fallen off the hinges years ago, her world, flowing into the real world as it became more insane. Delirium walked past her room and smiled as a fish flew out the door. she walked across the hall to the back door that lead to the garden. "Hello, Destiny are you in here?" she asked.
"yes, I am here, but you already knew I was here Delirium. sometimes I think you know more then me without even realizing it."
"well that is one of the ways insanity works bro." she said then walked to a statue that was broken "ahh, the statue is still broken?"she said a bit upsit.
"well, Delight has been gone a long time." he said, even though Delirium had been delight, she never remembered being her.
"well, the statue isn't what I am here about, I needed to know if I successfully changed the destiny of that boy."
"I am not supposed to divulge that information to you delirium, you know it is against my rule."he said
"oh come now brother, your going to make me cry. I tell you what, you help me save this child, and I will help you the next time you want to save someones destiny, remember how i helped you last time, you could see no better path in your garden for that man, and i showed you my secret path. the one that helped you save the entire world."
"yes, I remember, Delirium you are to good at putting people into your debt.he said opening his record book and reading it silently "well, his destiny has changed, but I suggest constent watch, for this boy has many paths in my garden to choose from. ,uch more then i have seen in a long time. I will paruse the paths and tell you which destiny sounds like the one you told me about. you should monitor him if he means that much to you."
"Oh Destiny, it isn't like that."
"Humans easily fall in love with us delirium, ask Dream, he has had countless women chase after him as he takes the form of there dream man, but we must never allow their emotions to become our own. Dream learned that first hand a long time ago, and, Even though I am not supposed to read the destiny of my kin, I can tell he will never forget what happened to that girl."
"I said it isn't like that destiny, it's more business then pleasure, do you think I'm Lust or something?" she screamed walking away.
"What Business do you even partake in little sister, certainly nothing a sane person could think of." Destiny said to himself as the paths of his garden changed to match Sullivenns and he walked through the first path.
But it is much easier to cleanse the epidermise than it is the mind. My mentality is still collapsing. The asylum had made me worse than I ever had been. Hearing screams all night. The smell of blood and burning flesh as a new victim was placed on the electric chair...a wonderful place indeed.
I wipe the water particles away from the mirror's surface, and then look at myself. The white towel is wrapped around my waist. I am in more shape than I had thought. Muscles line just about every part of my body, making me appear more defined. My face is well shaped, the noise a little too pointed for my liking, but I made it work nicely. I give a forced smile, and am surprised to see pearly white teeth.
With a heavy sigh, I flick my hair from side to side, and watch as water flies away from it. Just like an animal would do when they are wet.
"Sir, are you doing alright in there?" Alfred questions from the other side of the door.
"Yeah, just drying off!" I call back. I look at the clothes that rest on the marble-top counter. They are modern clothes, ones that your typical teen would wear...a neon green, zip, sweatshirt and a strangely designed t-shirt to go underneath. Some name brand that I am not familiar with...a skating one no doubt. After I get the tops on, I have a difficult time with the black, skinny, jeans.
"How can people wear these?" I grumble, finishing getting dressed and walking out of the bathroom.
"Why you cleaned up nicely," Alfred grins, eyeing me up and down. I just roll my eyes and stride past him. "Where are you going?"
"To see Bats." I state, as if it were a natural response.
"He would like you to wait in your room for now." Alfred states.
"My room?" I am suddenly confused.
"Yes, you will be staying with us...won't you?" Alfred asks, his hands behind his back and his nose up slightly.
"Of course." My voice had tightened again, giving it a higher pitch.
-Delirium 3-
"Bruce, honey it's me your mother" a voice came from behind bruce wayne. he turned swiftly then he remembered that this had happened before "that is a vary funny joke delirium. what are you doing here, isn't it usually your brother Destiny coming around to tell the justice league of an unstoppable force?"he said
"Aha, I knew he had used his power to help you guys, I could just never prove it."Delirium said "anyway batybat that isn't why I'm here, it is about that boy, the one who is taking a bath in your bathroom"
"sullivann? what about him, if your going to tell me he is crazy, you're to late, I have already been informed multiple times of that" he said
"eheehee no silly, I knew that you knew that. I am here to tell you that he can be cured. and to tell you that I have destiny looking in to helping him. you just have to do what you do, I figure if you can turn sane people insane by coming into contact with them, you can do the opposite right?"she said smiling
"thanks for your vote of confidence, now please leave, I can't have people seeing me talking to little girls who wear cloths like that, people might get ideas."
"But I love you batsy, your like a daddy I never had, always keeping me busy, you single handedly created at least 7 of my greatest power sources." she giggled.
"oh and don't call me a little girl, I might be the youngest endless, but I am way older then you, daddy." she said giggling as she said daddy, she knew it ercked him to hear the word dad or father, especially from her, since he had overcome her grasp after his parents death, she has always seen him as a father figure. she created memories of him being her father, and put them into her head, every bad guy that had ever turned insane because of him added to it, he saw it as an accident, she saw it as her father giving her a daily allowance. even though she was the one who drove them insane, she had tricked herself into beleiving that it was batman using his powers to turn them insane, powers that he had passed down to her because he was her father. non of it was true, but she had pushed that thought out of her head many years ago.
I am walking beside Alfred now. The hallway seems endless...it possibly is...He had just shown me my room. It was huge! Too big for my comfort, that's for sure. Another sigh escapes my lips. Sighing is something I do WAY too often. A grumble follows.
"Why must you always talk to yourself?" Alfred practically snaps.
"Well when you live in a dark room with no one else to talk to, your options become quite limited." I respond, my eyes narrowing.
We walk into a large space, which appears to be a living room. There are couches and a fire - not one of those electronic fireplaces but a real one. I really like that, it makes me smile...maybe it is the sight of the fire that does more so than the thoughts of it being natural?
I make myself at home on one of the couches, and parallel to me sits a man - in the other couch. Alfred had walked off, to get some drinks.
Wait. I know this man before me!
"Bruce Wayne." The words slip out of my mouth, without my control. But he gives two nods of reassurance. "I knew it." He is surprised now. "Sorry but nothing escapes these." I point to my eyes. "I guess it isn't really my eyes...as your butler has put it it is my mind."
"I should have guessed." Bruce chuckles, sitting back with his legs crossed.
"That is bad for your back..." I state in a matter-of-factly tone. He quickly unfolds his legs and leans forward with his forearms on his thighs.
"Venn. I was wondering if you wanted to go on a little mission for me. I have work to do here in Gotham. I would like you to travel a bit for me." Bruce's smile spreads from ear to ear. I let my eyebrows arch in question, and my head tilts to the side just slightly.
"I need you to go to Metropolis." Bruce continues.
-Delirium 4-
Delirium walks through the city streets smiling, she looks to her left and sees kids looking into the windows of stores, happiness on their face ass toys are moving about, on display for window shoppers. she smiles, it reminds her of a time she had forgotten, then it's gone, the memory of being delight escapes her, every time she almost has it in her grasp. it had disappeared because at that moment in the ally way a man was being mugged, he was going to lose all his money that christmas and the mugger was going to use it not on his family, or a friend in need, but to buy crack, delirium had some of her brothers insight of the future. "holidays sure are fun, aren't they?" she asked the man before he finished mugging the other guy. "Hey broad, glad you could join us, just give me your money and you won't get hurt." he said, the knife turned into a ruber chicken. "come now, if your going to threaten someone do it with a proper weapon." she laughed. "wha- hey, whats going on here, you some sort of wizard?" he said angreyly, pulling out a hidden gun and firing at her, the bullet becomes a wad of paper, and the gun was now a straw. "aren't you a bit old to be shooting spit balls?" she laughed.
"wha- what are you?"
"oh I'm just a friend here to help." she said, then a bunch of leafs started to fall from the sky, well, they where leafs to any sane person, but the mugger, all he saw was what he wanted to see, money falling from the sky. "Wow, it's a christmas miracle, looks like I won't be mugging anybody for a long time eh?" he laughed grabbing at the leafs and running like a mad man screaming about being rich.
"you know you shouldn't mess with them, they are fragile creatures, besides, you just wasted some of my time." a girls voice said from behind delirium. "oh death, was that man going to kill this one? oh by the way, your free to go home to your family, and give your little boy this."Delirium said handing the man a huge lollipop. "don't say who it is from, someone is bound to think you crazy" she said smiling as the man got up and ran for his life. "what I tell you, fragile."
"only their minds are fragile sis, their actually quite the resourceful little race. my favorite race in the galaxy" Delirium laughed.
"anyway, you messed up my schedule, and your in my debt for saving all those people in gothem." death said
"but sister, those debts where payed by the ones you saved. by keeping them alive, you got more work."delirium said
"you know i hate taking the innocent, especially when a human is in control of their fate."Death said
"no human controls anothers fate, their fate is decided by Destiny, you know that"Delirium corrected her sister.
"darn, can't pull one over on you, I guess we are even then?"
"oh no far from it, those people you save killed enough to account for their deaths and even move the debt from my side of the graph to yours."Delirium said
"Oh delirium, you have everyone wrapped around your finger don't you."she said
"most of the time by total accident, although I never keep track of that stuff." she laughed.
-Sullivenn 6-
This vehicle is amazing. It must be the fastest one in the world! But the thing that I am still trying to process is the fact that Bruce let me drive this thing. It must be worth millions. Wait…he has enough money to replace multiple of these.
I have just entered Metropolis. My eyes widen as the size of the city becomes less difficult to make out. It reminds me of Gotham, but more lit up. Gotham is dreary and dark, while this place seems to have more life.
But the building that stands out the most, to me, is one with a giant planet-like structure on it. What better title for it than The Daily Planet. “Must be newspaper.” I whisper to myself. The traffic here sucks, though. So, I pull into the nearest parking space – hating the fact that I had to Parallel Park. Getting in is the easiest park, getting out is where things become difficult.
I exit the customized Zenvo ST1, and step onto the sidewalk. I am forced on direction, pushed along with the flow of human traffic. Most of the people are either texting or talking on their cells. “How annoying.” I grumble under my breath. I am careful to not stare at one person for a long period of time. I let my eyes wander into space, where no one can be seen. But it is quite difficult to walk like that…
Suddenly, I find myself falling backwards. I land, hard, onto my butt. The force was enough to knock my vision around. I shake my head to bring it back to its original clarity.
“I am so sorry.” A voice comes from above. I have to tilt my head back to see a man in a white dress shirts and black pants. He pushes his glasses up with one hand, while his other is extended towards me. My eyes widen as I am engulfed in images and information of all kind.
“Superman.” I gasp, scrambling to my feet. The man is staring at me, startled at first. He then laughs.
“I assure you, I am no Superman. Just someone who walked against the flow, and apologizes for knocking you over in the process. I just don’t want to be late for work again,” he explains. I nod, not fully understanding but not wanting to talk to him anymore either. “Well, it seems like you are fine. Are you?”
I nod, not able to say anything else. My brain has stopped functioning at this moment.
“Alright, take care!” He calls over his shoulder, walking off. He vanishes in the crowd of people, and I get knocked around until I start walking again. The opposite direction that he had gone…
After minutes of being shoved back and forth, I escape inside of an alley. The buildings on either side of me tower into the skies above. It's amazing, yet it scares me a little. I almost drop to my knees as a throbbing headache brings a migraine. I grasp onto my skull and clench my teeth together. Voices fill my head. There are few at first, but they quickly grow. All of the voices start changing, and they become screams. Panic, grief, sorrow, misery. All of these things fill the screams...fill my mind. A scream is forced out of my lungs, and I shout at the world with back arched forward.
I could feel the air ripple around me. Superman has just flown over head.
I slam my side against the wall to my left, and start to stand straight, using the wall as support. A wicked smile comes to my tanned face. The puddle beneath my feet reveals my eyes...which are now black, as if ink had leaked into them. Red and orange swirl with the black, and I exit the alley way. Four people drop dead behind me, and I lengthen my strides.
My original reasoning for coming to Metropolis has been lost within this jigsaw puzzle known as "thoughts"...
-delirium 5-
Delirium had been following Sullivenn, she had not thought that her pressence would be so quick to effect him. and it had effected him. she watched as he started to scream, she heard the screams that only he should have heard and she knew that she had followed to close. she needed to stop him before superman decided that it was his job. she concentrated and dove deep into his mind. "Sullivenn, Sulluvenn where are you." she yelled swimming through the crowd of strange objects that floated around his mind. "You mustn't lose control, vary bad things will happen if you lose control" she screamed out.
-Sullivenn 7-
Power. I could feel it surge through my very being. My thoughts were darting from one thing to the next. They didn't bother to settle, and the voices were becoming more irritating. I could feel my sadistic grin widen as I sniff the air. I spread my arms out wide and whisper something under my breath. It sounded like six different languages combined. But as soon as silence returns, it is quickly broken. The gravity surrounding me intensifies, and people that walk on the sidewalks are pressed against the earth. I give a maniacal laugh as they scream, their bones being shattered as I continue to increase the gravity's intensity.
A blur. That is all I see coming towards me. But the second it slams into me, I see it. Superman. He was stopped dead in his tracks, his eyes bulging as my fist had driven into his gut. He didn't see it coming. He thought he could take me out. So easily...I woulnd't allow it.
I add extra force and Superman is sent through several buildings. I release the citizens, and some get up and run while others are incapable of moving. I bolt after Superman as he goes hurdling through the air. I bound and wrap my arms around his legs. I do several flips before releasing him, and watch him crash through the ground and leave a giant crater. I land on my toes, near the center of the crater. I slowly make my way towards Superman, who had gotten to his hands and knees. I grab him by the back of his hair, and pull him up to my face. My grin becomes even more wicked.
I feel so lost...where am I? Why is it so dark...I can't see anything...Why won't these voices just shut up already...
-Delirium 6-
Delirium closes her eyes and focuses, she locates him using the same method dream uses to find people in their dreams. she whispers to herself "I am in control of the unstable minds, I can do this"" she said, then quite. all the voices stop speaking, the creatures moving around both Delirium and Sullivenn start to vanish. she walks over to him "being alone is much easier when there arn't any voices messing with you, wouldn't you agree Venny Benny?" she says smiling at him in the darkness, her face eluminating his mind. "I find that when your like we are, unsound and insane, it is best to keep this in mind, if you still have the ability to hold atleast one thing in it. it is best to keep in mind, that even though you hear athousand voices, all you have, all you need, is yourself. as long as you remember that you will be fine, well atleast as long as you believe in that. so please sullypop try to remember yourself, or else you might lose yourself.
-Sullivenn 8-
The words echo throughout my mind.
With wide eyes, my grip on Superman's hair becomes loose. He drops the beaten up figure, who lands in a coughing heap on the ground. I had sucked up some of Superman's life...something that I had never done before. But such close contact must have caused that ability to be tapped into. I keep the girl's voice locked away in my memory...her words...in case I would need them again. I just hope that they don't get lost like most of the other ones do.
"I-I am sorry," I apologize, backing away. Superman is on his feet within seconds, and he grasps onto the color of my shirt. My feet are no longer on the ground...neither are his. We have suddenly flown up at least a hundred feet above solid land. I have a fear of heights, and looking down is definitely not helping this situation.
"Who are you? No. What are you? There are very few who can throw me around like that." Superman hisses between his teeth. His voice is unusually cold against the skin on my face.
"My name is Sullivenn." I state, my hands balled into tight fists. Then it comes to me. "Sullivenn Isaac Droselmeyer."
My last name...something I had forgotten long ago...I felt like crying, now...I can't believe it is there. Right with me. My full name.
-Delirium 7-
Delirium floats next to superman, but only superman is able to see her, one of her powers. "Clarky, clarky, clarky, no need to barky, eheeheehee."she giggled into his ear.
"Delirium? great, just what I need an endless here to mess with my week." he said "now now, don't want to look crazy do we? talking to yourself infront of a guest. speaking of which, I'm gonna need you to put him down, you see his mind is fragile as it is right now, and he is a bit afraid of heights."she said.
"listen, HE BEAT ME UP! ME! SUPERMAN, MAN OF STEEL, LAST SURVIVOR OF KRYPTON!"
"My my, aren't we a bit high and mighty, you know if earth wasn't so close to the sun you wouldn't be superman, you would be...The worlds strongest man, maybe if you where lucky. now stop aurguing with me, people are bound to think your talking to yourself. my final word is drop him, no wait put him down gently, I could see you getting angry and dropping him literally/"she said smiling. reluctently super man landed at the top of a building but kept a strong grip on sullivenn. "thats a good little superhero. now please don't brake him, he didn't mean to do what he did. he's simply crazy"
"Bizarro has the same problem, but I don't go easy on him."
"BIzarro? Oh he is so funny, thinking that killing is saving and hurting is helping, now there is some comedy gold."
"you have no right to belittle a life."
"I am not belittling a life. everyone has to die, my sister makes sure of that, and when your life is endless, you tend to forget how little time humans have.
-Sullivenn 9-
I watched as Superman talked to this strange girl. I look at her, recognizing her voice right away. "Hey. You're the one who saved me from that dark room."
Superman looks at me, and then at her. "You mean...you see her?"
I nod multiple times. Superman lets go of me, and I stumble a bit. I really don't want to fall.
"Yeah. Can't everyone?" I ask. Superman looks at her in curiosity. He then looks at me. "Your eyes...they changed again. They were black with red and orange. Now they are a very pale color."
"They do that a lot. Just be glad that they aren't in their worst form...But maybe that's why I can see her?" I sigh. I think my eyes are more for warning than antyhing...maybe that is what they are? My mind adapts to its surroundings, sometimes in ways that I wouldn't like it to. I smile at the girl, and then scowl.
"I am NOT crazy." I growl.
-Delirium 8-
"amazing, your eyes are wonderful, absolutely wonderful." she said in a sing song voice. "but I must assure you that you are crazy, otherwise I would have little interest in you, or atleast I wouldn't have started having an interest in you, I guess you could say you where crazy, but your actions a minute ago prove you still are, or maybe that something inside you is crazy, but you are most certainly not. yes, that sounds right."Delirium said "the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem, and you have many, although me, I'm am not crazy..." she said as a fish butler appeared and started pouring her some tea. "I am 100% grade A not crazy, or atleast, if your not crazy, I am not, for I have your name in my book, and if your name is in my book you are the same as me, and if you say that your not crazy, then that makes me not crazy." she said as the world around them swirled into her own world and they where now sitting at a table with purple tea in yellow cups, every color clashed and all the people where fish. "would you like something other then tea? It reminds me of a friend I once had, a long time ago."she said.

I could feel my pulse quicken, and my heart throb against my chest. I don't like this world. I want my old one back...this one makes me feel like I really am insane. I know I'm not. I feel perfectly fine...most of the time...
Tears roll down my face and I cup my hands over my face. I part my fingers to reveal my eyes, which were starting to burn like crazy. I gaze into the tea, and spot a discolored reflection in the purple liquid. My eyes have changed again, no longer gray - like Superman had said they were - but bright purple. Designs of stars swirl around my irises, and every now and then they move all over the place.
The world suddenly shifts back to our old one, and I am sitting on the building once more. I am on my knees, coughing up purple fluid. I shake my head multiple times, and get up to my feet. But my legs tremble.
Superman is gone...he must have flown off.
"Please don't do that again." I almost plead her. "Don't change this world into something else. I like this one. It reminds me of what little sanity I contain." A snicker unwillingly escapes my lips, a demented sound that frightened me. I cup my hand over my mouth.
A phone in my jeans' pocket vibrates. It startles me, and I jump. When I pull it out, the touch screen shows a name of the caller. Bruce Wayne.
I press Answer and place the phone against my ear, but I keep my eyes on the girl - Delirium.
"Hello?" I answer.
"Superman told me about your fight. Get back here NOW." Bruce says. His voice is scolding.
"O-okay." I gulp. He hangs up, and I stare at my phone for a minute before placing it back into my pocket. I glance up at Delirium. "I have to go..." I look over the edge, seeing that we are pretty high up. The sweat runs down the nape of my neck. "But I see that I am stuck at the moment." I back away from the ledge of the flat roof, and scurry towards the center. These roofs aren't even supposed to be accessed, as there isn't any escape...besides jumping. And I am most definitely not doing that!
