What did you get for Christmas? Sun Dec 25, 2011 10:06:02 PM#228640Perm Link
Hey everyone!
Here's a thread to share what we got for Christmas this year!
I got:
- a new pair of slippers
- three gift cards
- a new pair of headphones
- chocolate (both Turtles and home-made)
- an all-in-one printer (scanner, copier, fax machine, and printer) - it can connect via WiFi, ethernet, or USB - my clear favorite gift
Tomorrow, I'm gonna go buy a USB cable for the printer and a HDMI cable for my PS3 so I can watch my movies in high-def on my new 32" LCD HD TV!
Nintendo 3DS but it keeps freezing up, I tried everything from charging it, to not using the sound, I even tried not using the 3D mode, it just won't stop freezing, and it sucks even worse because I was hoping to beat Zelda:OoT by now.
I dont think Christmas as a religious holiday-- you can celebrate whether your christian/catholic; is my opinion. Its just a day to share gifts and be happy with your family.
except Hanukkah is a religious holiday, celebrating the Miracle that accured those eight nights. the candle only had enough wax for one night but it lasted for 8.
Christmas started as a pagen holiday, the christian world knew it couldn't destroy such a widely celebrated holiday so instead they created enough propaganda to change it to the christmas we know, jesus' birthday. but then marketing executives saw it as a way to make more money during a season where the only primary need is warmth, and not overly priced products. the lead marketing executive in the creating of the santa type christmas was actually The man who founded macys. he created the guy in the suit, named him after a pagen saint, and even made a few holiday specials about a raindeer with a red nose and his friend the dentist elf.
also christhmas didn't orriginate in winter, it was actualy in june when jesus was born and then it was moved to coresponded with the newley made holiday
you get shot up on the block
and robed in your home
this is what happens when bad meets evil
i agree with jenah. it's just a time that people can have fun relax and enjoy with family.
in this book i have the recipe for disaster. if you want to know what it is. ask, and i shall tell you, "what is written here is the greatest threat to all man kind, the names of my friends."
