Aralin waved at Aideen "Right here..the marketplace was starting to get crowded.." She said, grinning sheepishly. "Working again, I take it?" She asked, nodding over to the meadary.
"60 GOLD! WE COULD BUY A COUPLE OF RINGS WITH THAT KIND OF MONEY!" she chimes " well....if you combine it with the 50 i got yesterday! we'd make the other kids so jealous~!" she laughed " maybe we should check out the market and see what we can get for 120 gold!"
"Really? that's more than what people normally earn!" Aralin exclaimed, her grin widening excitedly. "C'mon lets go! before all the good stuff gets sold" Aralin said, practically skipping towards the market.
aideen grins at her and grabs her wrist to dragg her off towards the jewlery shop run by callen eyre, an imperigonian, "hello little ones." he greetsseadily " what can i do for you today? " he asks as aideen inhales sharply upon seeing a pair of rings "we're just browsing but how buch are those callen?" she asked, pointing at the rings, one with a black and red gem in the middle, the other with a dark blue and grey gem.
"ahhhh, those? they come at a price of 300 gold dears." he says.
Aralin glanced at Aideen "We can always come back when we have more gold.." She said optimistically, though those were nice rings...and chances were they wouldn't be there tomorrow..
"why don't i reserve them for you girls? if you have the money tomorrow then you can come and buy them" callen said, winking at the two of them and aideen gasped loudly " oh my.... THANK YOU CALLEN!" she chimed happily " hey aralin! lets go take the food and drink back and then we can go play?" she suggested.
As they put the food away, they soon enough ran outside to play for the rest of the day. Leaning against the well that resided in the middle of the market, aralin said "Theres not much to do..we play tag all the time..." She sighed "gah, lets thing of something fun to play..like...uh.." She pondered for a moment while she lent against the well.
"maybe we could play hide and seek?" she asked as she counted the gold in her hand, placing it on the boards of the well "i'll hide and you seek first for a change!" she suggested, muttering numbers under her breath.
"hm.. I guess.." Aralin thought for a moment, wondering if there were any other games..
"STOP, THIEF!" A guard yelled, trying to chase down a hooded female who was running with a few items in hand. Running towards the well she bumped passed Aralin and Aideen, causing them both to stumble and Aideen to drop the money she was counting.
A faint sound of a small object falling into water could be heard "oh no.." Aralin gasped, looking at the well.
Most of the gold had managed to fall into the well..all that hard earned cash down the drain..literally.
"B-BUT I WORKED SO HARD FOR THAT MONEY!" she cried out "now we've only got 20 golf left! we'll never get the rings aralin!" aideen sobbed, ears against her head and tail flat on the floor.
Aralin looked at Aideen "I.....we could both do jobs tomorrow to try and earn the money, right?" She said, trying to cheer her friend up.."if we just work together..we could both earn the money back.." She said, glancing back at the well "..unless....well I mean its not like we can't just get the money back...but that'd mean we would have to do in the sewers.." she said "..we could think of it as just another game!"
"but bad people and thieves live in the sewers aralin! how are we meant to get past them?!"she asked in hysterics "i hear they kill people for tresspassing!"
"ok...but i go first! i'm oldest and i've actually got weapons on me!" she says, unsheathing her claws and grinning as she puts one in the lock of a gate and picks it "and they can pick locks too" she laughs "but only easy ones.... i almost broke one once trying to get into the old ladies chest! she took my book from me and put it in there... how was i supposed to know it was an adult book?!" aideen huffed.
"o-okay.." Aralin said, following close behind "I don't see why anyone would stay down here though..the smells awful" She said, covering her nose while they walked through the seemingly empty sewers..at least..thats what they thought.
They eventually ended up in a room with a table in the middle, a piece of bread was on a plate, and a dagger on the side. It didn't look like anyone was around. "the well should be nearby.." Aralin said, nervously glancing around just in case there was anybody around..
aideen looked around carefully and with her tail, poked at aralin before moving forward slowly " i see it" she whispered, reaching out to take it before noticing a persons body slumped on a bench besides the table.
she took in a sharp breath as she collected her money, counted it and she turned to her friend, holding it up. night vision came with the perks of what she was after all.
Aralin smiled, then quietly -so that she didn't wake up the person sleeping- mouthed 'lets go'
She stopped when she heard footsteps behind them, coming towards the room.. bandits? Hesitating, Aralin hastily glanced back, there was only one way they could escape..through the door that was closest to them..
aideen hissed as she snatched the dagger from the table and grabbed aralin with her other hand, running out of the door before handing her friend the dagger " keep it! i don't need a weapon i've got claws and fangs!" she says.
Aralin had never used a dagger before...gulping, she nodded and held onto it to be safe..the door shut behind them and they were now in a rather large room with sewer water.. a bar was inside, on the other side of the room. And by the looks of it, a few people were there too, though they didn't notice the two. Not yet anyway..
