Wha-What? I'm A Pokémon?! Wed May 29, 2013 7:57:04 PM#280705Perm Link
"No, don't go!"
The world around two figures begins to shake and crumble as a Pokémon and a human desperately cling onto one another. The human girl squeezes her eyes shut as tears form in the corners,
"Whatever happens, don't let go of me. We're gonna be alright, we're gonna-" but she doesn't get to finish her sentence as a collection of roars follow. The ground opens up beneath to reveal a swirling portal of blue. The girl falls, trying to hold on to a bit of gravel and clutching the hand of her partner tightly, The blue and black Pokémon tenses up as it feels itself slipping. Glancing up, it sees it's beloved partner holding on for dear life. The quickly-crumbling rock can't hold the two for much longer and the creature stares up sadly at it's best friend. The girl's eyes widen as she realises what her partner is about to do, "No. . ." she says, her voice barely a whisper. Ignoring it's master's pleas, the Pokémon lets go and disappears into the swirling hole of nothingness. The girl lets out a piercing scream,
"NO!"
Unable to hold on much longer, the young Pokémon trainer screams once more as the ground shakes for the final time before giving way. Eyes wide, she free-falls straight into the hypnotic pit.
For a moment, she feels as if she is floating. That is until she hits the ground with a thud. Celia groans as she feels herself bruise. Blinking her eyes open, it takes her several seconds to readjust to the new lighting and Celia is surprised to find herself in a clearing, amongst overgrown blades of grass. It takes her a whole minute to eventually heave herself to her feet, and Celia finds herself able to crawl on all-fours.
Wait, what?!
Confused, Celia spins in an attempt to look at herself but sees nothing other than what's in front of her. She sighs heavily before noticing a pond near to her. Tentatively, she limps her way over to examine her reflection. Certainly she does not recognise this place, what was she doing here anyway? Thinking about it Celia could not remember anything up to this very moment other than her own name. But she receives the shock of a lifetime as she peers at her reflection in the water.
With a yelp, Celia jumps back, eyes wide and ears back. She trembles, feeling shaken. Once more, she approaches the water but slowly this time; she can already feel something drawing her away from it. With her big brown eyes, Celia blinks confusedly at her reflection.
"I- I'm a. . ." she struggles to find her words as she frowns, as far as she is able to frown, "I'm a Pokémon?!"
Peering more closely, she expands upon this, "A Vulpix?" Celia continues to examine herself, turning to peer at each of her newly-developed features, "This isn't right, I'm a human!" her eyes widen in realisation, "Wait, if I'm a Pokémon, how am I talking?" All she could remember was her name, that she was a human. . . and Celia could faintly remember another Pokémon, but she didn't know whom exactly.
"HIIIIII-YAH!"
Celia's eyes widen as another figure jumps out from behind a tree, lunging for her and tackling her to the ground. Celia yelps and groans under the weight, "Get off me!" she says, scrunching up her face at the pain. The other Pokémon on top of her giggles before standing,
"Whoopsie, my bad!" as the figure stands, Celia manages to sit up although her knees feel slightly weak and her head feels light. She blinks her eyes open to see a Pikachu grinning widely at her,
"Sorry I thought you were a bad Pokémon for a second there! Name's Thunder, nice to meet'cha!"
(so this is a pokemon mystery dungeon rp...? are you the hero and the partner? or.... Im confused...)
There's no such thing as a painless lesson...they just don't exist. Sacrifices are necessary...you can't gain anything without losing something first. Although...if you can endure that pain, and walk away from it...you will find that you now have a heart strong enough to overcome any obstacle.....yeah...a heart made fullmetal. -edward elric
(ohh. Derp its good though. Sorry i had a brainfart XD)

Celia finds herself staring at the newcomer for a number of seconds until he frowns at her, "What's wrong? Is there something on my face?" Even at this time, Celia has to hold back laughter as the Pikachu wipes at it's own mouth self-conciously. Eventually, he grins, "So what's your name? I haven't seen you around before?"
"I'm Celia," she replies quietly, moving her gaze to the floor, "I'm a human," Thunder begins to laugh at this, and Celia shoots him a questioning look at which his giggles cease,
"Wait, you're serious?" Celia nods and Thunder places his hands on his hips, raising an eyebrow, "Are you sure? You look like any ordinary Vulpix to me," Celia nods once more, trying to decide whether she can trust this Pokémon.
What do you have to lose? a small voice inside her head tells her, and Celia can't help but agree.
"My last memory is a little blurry, but I definitely remember being a human. I heard voices, but I can't remember seeing anything. All I remember is my name," Celia concludes with a worried look on her face. She glances hopefully at Thunder, "You believe me right?" the Pikachu smiles at her,
"Of course I believe you, Celia!" she breathes a sigh of relief. Thank heavens he wasn't calling her crazy, "And anyway," Thunder continues, "You don't seem to be a bad Pokémon, so I think we should be friends. What do you think?" Celia watches the other Pokémon for just a moment. There was something about him that made Celia feel relaxed. She felt as if she could trust him. Nodding, Celia tilts her head with a smile,
"Yeah, I'd like that. I'd like that alot,"
"ALRIGHT!"
Celia jumps at Thunder's sudden outburst, before smiling as she realises he's just expressing excitement. Thunder rushes over and pulls Celia into a tight hug, "We'll make a great team," Team. The word sounded familar, "Hey, I know!"
Celia blinks confusedly as Thunder pulls away, looking even more excited than before (if that were possible). "We should form an exploration team!" Celia tilts her head causing Thunder to laugh, "Wow, you really are clueless! An exploration team is pretty self-explanatory. We explore new places, find treasures, uncover secrets," he tilts his head with a chuckles, "Who knows, maybe we'll discover your past Celia!" At this, Celia nods with a small smile,
"I'd like that,"
"Great!"
Celia laughs as Thunder bounces up and down. He turns and looking back at Celia, gestures for her to follow as he leads the way, "C'mon, I'll show you the town!"
Celia pads after Thunder as he races forward on all fours, panting for breath. She still has to get used to having four legs, "C'mon, Celia~!" she hears Thunder call her and shoots him a glare. Seeing that she's worn out already, Thunder stops and retreats towards her, "You okay?" his concern seems to be genuine as he tilts his head with a small frown. Celia nods,
"I'm fine, just a little out of breath. . . i-is all,"
Once again, to Celia's annoyance, Thunder takes off, shouting back to her "It's just a little further, I promi-" he is interrupted as he crashes right into a Cranidos about twice the size of him. Celia skids to a halt as Thunder stumbles backwards onto his behind.
The Cranidos gives a growl of annoyance as he snaps, "Watch where you're going, runt!" Thunder gets to his feet, glaring whilst Celia keeps her distance. Her stomach drops as she watches a sinister sort of smile form on the Pokémon's face, "Oh, it's you Thunder," Celia glances away as his gaze moves towards her and then back to the Pikachu, "Who's your friend?"
Thunder glowers, not really wanting to say anything. Rubbing the dirt from his face, he murmurs, "That's Celia-"
"Wow Thunder, I can't believe you found someone who actually wants to hang round with you," the Cranidos snorts, earning a glare from both Thunder and Celia, "How much is he paying you, sweetheart?" Celia feels a twitch of annoyance as she steps up to defend her friend, ears and tails back,
"Leave it, Crane,"
Crane snorts, "Or what?"
"Or else," Celia pipes up, surprising even herself. She feels Thunder blink curiously at her as if trying to comprehend what she has just said. Still, the Vulpix stands her ground, staring Crane right in the eye. Her response seems to anger him as he lowers his head and charges. Celia yelps as she is knocked back against the trunk of a tree and she collapses in a heap.
"Celia!" she hears Thunder cry out as he races to her side. One eye open, she makes a whimpering sound as he tries to examine her, "You okay?"
"Later, wimps!" Crane cackles before charging off in the opposite direction. Celia hears Thunder mutter something before turning his attention to her,
"I'm sorry he hurt you, Celia," he tells her solemly, pain evident in his voice. Celia tries to respond, attempting to heave herself to her feet. With Thunder's help, she eventually manages to, and he allows her to lean on him as they walk the rest of the way to town.
