Ordinarily we'd do a 'party' (more like a 'get together') where we'd basically invite our cousins over (my mother didn't want their parents coming, not because she wanted us to do 'bad' thing but because their parents suck all the fun out of the room), have tons of junk food and watch some New Years thing on TV (any channel, which ever was the most interesting). We'd also play video games and when we were much younger we'd play games where we'd run around and shit.

We don't do that any more =\ We're getting some snacks but it's just going to be my immediate family.

fireworks, fireworks, fireworks - we have a brilliant garage "square" for that.

It isn't a guy thing. I also hate beer. I actually hate the taste of alcohol in general.

That's what a firned of mine used to tell me when I was like 14/15. He was in one of my classes, and said that he casually drank wine/beer with his family because he grew up in Germany doing so.

I just meant that most of the people I know that actually drink/like beer are men.

A few of my friends drink beer because they say it is a drink that quenches your thirst. To me, alcohol makes me want to drink more so I don't understand.

They say on a hot day, nothing beats the taste of a cold beer.

I became disgusted with beer, growing up seeing my Step Dad constantly drinking it, and nothing else. Why would someone do that?

Eugh. I accidentally drank some of his beer once, when it was next to my drink. I almost threw up.

I have a very low opinion of alcohol. I've known way too many alcoholics and the thought just disgusts me. Thankfully never tasted it, but it reeks something awful

Luckily I've never had it spilled on me. Although, when I went to my aunts house on Christmas Eve. Her son and daughter are horrible drunks (at 16, no less) but she doesn't seem to give a damn. Anyway, my cousin was drinking a beer he didn't even like (to get drunk) and almost dumped it on my head. I would've killed him for that, though. There's little I hate more than alcohol
