Broadcom Chipset With Kubuntu nogo Sun Dec 31, 2006 2:49:06 PM#31170Perm Link
I give up on this Dell 1450 Broadcom wifi card. I had it working in regular Ubuntu 6.06, but I can't get it working in Kubuntu 6.10. I can detect wireless networks but cannot connect to any of them even without any encryption.
I may just pick up a card that has proper Linux support as the Broadcom chipset is closed because they are stupid.
2014 is going to be a good year. More content, more streamlining. Be a part of history!
I've been reading about how shitty the broadcom people are with Linux. The bcm43xx driver was reverse engineered and requires the firmware. Have you got the firmware installed? I also read that people can use ndiswrapper to get the card working.
