eating dinosaur?

anyone happen to catch this news, apparently scientist seems to find a link that chicken evolved from dinosaur. I guess if that's true, we are eating the huge dino (well it's cousin or descendent)

er.... chickens are birds ? birds are dinosaur descendants, or have a common ancestor only a wee bit further back ? Is this news ?

I guess somehow we are all coming from some animal that existed thousands of years ago... I guess we are all related to the "missing link", if only we could find it. In the meantime, gorillas are our ancestors according to evolutionism. So, eating dinosaur is not that bad! LOL!

There are cannibals that eat there own species... now that's weird. I have no problems eating other animals, though.

I ran across something about this exact same thing when helping my son do a report on dinosaurs. I was actually surprised only because I never really thought about chickens having been a decendent of the dinosaur.

LOL! I guess the chicken is too familiar to us, so thinking of it as a family of a dinosaur is out of our minds. On the other hand, I think of the eggs that Fred Flintstone had for breakfast. They were pretty big! I'm sure a dinosaur was involved on that breakfast! LOL!

I think it is totally possible! It could be a descendant from the pterodactyl! So why not? And you are right about eggs. I had not long ago some scrambled eggs made with one egg from ostrich. We shared it between 6 people just to taste it, but it took the whole big pan to make it. And it tasted like a regular chicken's egg.

Actually the pterodactyl is not related to modern birds, their bone structure is far too different, but it did have adaptations for gliding that are somewhat similar.

T-rexs and others are most likely strongest related to large flightless and small flightless birds such as chickens and ostriches. If you look at the bones they're quite similar.

That's only according to creationists who don't understand speciation by natural selection. According to evolutionists, gorillas would be our genetic cousins.

Interestingly, I do remember reading somewhere a few years ago that a few lucky people got to eat mastodon/mammoth meat after they found a large one frozen in the ice. I'm sure that's not allowed now, hehe.

I'm sorry, if something has been frozen for thousands, or millions of years, depending on who you listen to, wouldn't it be the freezer burn to end all freezer burn. No thanks, I think I'll pass on the mastadon/mammoth entree.

That reminds me of "Northern Exposure". Every so often the residents would find a mammoth and make sausage and steaks out of it.
