Has anyone here went through Lasik surgery? I don't plan on having any unnecessary surgery, but it would be neat to wake up and be able to see. Did you have any complications? Was it painful?
I believe you sam][am. My husband went from wearing glasses all of the time in high school, to needing them for most things (but able to function without) in college, to passing his driver's exam without them in the mid 20s to having 20/20 vision by 30.
Meanwhile mine get worse and worse. I can't walk without my glasses.
I used to wear contacts, but quit after my prescription changed and the doctor was no longer able to fit them. I did not realize how dry and uncomfortable contacts made my eyes until I went to glasses full time. I do think it would be amazing to be able to swim or shower and see what you are doing.
I used to wear contacts until my stigmatism got to bad now it is just glasses for me.
I would try this if my insurance paid for it but it doesn't so I don't see me ever getting it done. My eyes are so bad that if this would help somewhat I would do it in a minute if my insurance paid for it.
I've heard really good things about it. I'm seriously considering it, when I get the money to do it. It's a little expensive, but it's supposed to last for the rest of your life. If you would ever need corrective lenses again, it would just be for reading. And that is only IF......
