After playing it most of Friday and all of Saturday, here is my opinion:
Holy f-ing awesome. Way better than Halo 2, and nearly back to the greatness of Halo. The map editor is very tweakable considering how simple it seems. The multiplayer is now just as good as it was on Halo, perhaps even better due to the added vehicles and better balanced weapons. And the Single player is way better than it was in Halo 2. 4 Player co-op can make fun times.
Now for the bad:
The graphics are not as good as GoW or BioShock. The Single player campaign fell apart towards the end. The 4 player co-op makes the game both too hectic and too easy. The single player, at its peak, is not as good as it is in BioShock or GoW.
So, overall, I would rate them like this:
BioShock in front, due to how amazing the single player was. The GoW, due to the greatness of its single player coupled with the decentness of the multiplayer. Then Halo 3 ties with GoW, due to how much better the multiplayer was over GoW, yet the single player was a bit disappointing in comparison to GoW.
Michael: Jodie, how's my schedule look for today? Jodie: You've got a conference and dinner party at the Japanese Embassy regarding wildlife protection. Michael: Oh, yeah...sorry, but I'll have to cancel that. I'm heading out to save America!
I agree with almost everything Tornado said! The campaign was way too short, beat in on legendary with a friend in about an 45 min to an hour per level. How ever, Halo CE (1) will have the best multi player BY FAR. They could Redo Halo CE's graphics and add xbox live, but not touch any part of the game, and that would be the only game I play. I still find myself logging on to XB Connect to play Halo 1. But Halo 3 is one of the best games I've played so far.
Nope, no voice chat. What you do is, join or create a room on the program. People will join the room, that has like a little chat room like on AIM, argue about what game type you want to play, whose on what team.. lol. Then you go into system link when you load up Halo (or any other xbox game with system link compatibility), create a game, the people in your room will see your game when they go into system link, and you play. Gets laggy if they are running programs like AIM or Limewire.
Wow, sounds like it is pretty good overall. I seen some reviews but there really is no middle ground on them. Some hate it and some seem to love it. Cannot wait to check it out. Thanks
I'm thinking that I may have looked at 4-player co-op in a bad light, but it just doesn't seem to work well in the game. Does anyone else feel this way?

ending was crap, btw the ending was released on you tube a week before the game was sold, appearantly someone either pirated the ending from bungee's servers, or some guys played it on a tv in the back of their store and recorded it. That aside, campaign is way to short, but 4 player can lead to some hilarious shit happening. Multiplayer is decent, but it doesn't compare to halo 1's, oh...and spartan laser/hammer only matches lead to craziness, and the map editor is very very interesting, i think someone made a tank on my head...and it fell down due to gravity, on my head... man cannons ftw
