Is there really a need?

I thought it'd be interesting to know your thoughts on this subject....
Obama said something about being Americans becoming multilingual and the need to learn foreign languages, which means IF he becomes president that might be something he'd instate. Sure it may be a ploy to gain Hispanic voters but do you think it is important that American's become multilingual or just make English the national language and call it a day. Comment on your vote and stuff.

Obama is the socialist that people should be worried about. How dare him say they we should learn a new language. Enstate English as the national language and we wouldn't have all these language problems in this country. I have no idea why it isn't yet.

Learning another language and forcing a specific language is a different thing. Obama wants everyone to speak Spanish in the USA since he wants Mexico and the USA to become one area.

You're not required to take a language. I guess it might depend what state you're in. I don't think you should have to speak anything other than your native language unless you're moving to another country or you have a job that requires you to travel to other countries. But sometimes it can be fun to learn a new language, nya. =3

I agree. If someone moves to America from another country they should have to learn English. It's their choice to come here so why should we have to learn their language? Even if it's not very good English, and they have a thick accent or something along those lines, atleast they're trying and you have to give them credit for that.

I still only know English, but I plan on learning some Chinese. I'm talking to a few Taiwanese girls and a Chinese girl. Be nice if I could talk to them in Chinese.

I have one question. What fucking Country do we live in? Mexico? Austria? France? This is the United States. If a person can't learn English when living here, then go the fuck home bastards. Do any of you think for a second the Cuntry of Mexico caters to the Americans by learning our language for us? Fuck no they do not.

How many of you have been to France. When you go to the Grocery Store and buy crap and get to the checkout. Do you think the little credit card scanner says FRENCH ---or--- ENGLISH? No it does not. We are the only stupid fucking country in the World that caters to illegal immigrants.

And, garra uchiha, Americans are not required to learn a second language before you can pass High School. They are only required to take one Semester of a Foreign language. NOT LEARN the language.

Not to mention the fact that these fucking Illegal Mexicans come here, have a dozen kids, go to our Public Schools and take education away from MY kids cause we cater to their needs of trying to teach their kids our Language. Move to California, where Whites are a minority. You'll be sure to learn another language just to survive in that State. Or at least to shop at the 7-Eleven.

I already live in California.I am white and I hate Mexican immigration! I'm not saying this to be a smart aleck but i really do.
