I'm sorry, Doom 3 isn't the best game ever. I will say that it has the best looking graphics in a game to date. That is a fact for sure. I'll also say that Doom 3 is the type of game that others should be based on. I haven't really played a game (in awhile) that the sounds and visual both immersed me very well. I actually got spooked twice or so in the game.
I'm interested in what others have to say about it. Post here.
2014 is going to be a good year. More content, more streamlining. Be a part of history!
Yes! I was just about to make a topic about Doom 3! I agree, this ones graphics are really good, I've seen some screenshots...anyways, I haven't played it...I want to like really bad though. I've been waiting for this game for so many years now just bc I loved the other ones...I know how dumb that sounds, but I used to play that game everyday when I was a kid.
So what was the last game you played where you thought the sounds and visual were really good?
i remember back in the day, when the alpha leaked out and my friend showed it to me on his 9700pro. i think that games like that just take too long to make, so they end up either behind their time by the time they come out, or the rush it to meet quotas and demand and it ends up not meeting everyones expectations. but o well, its always been like that for revolutionary games like this
I am probably not goign to get it because, the graphics are awesome, but i heard the gameplay is lacking, plus im saving my money for Half Life 2, Halo 2, and Tribes: Vengance.
I just got Doom 3 a couple days ago. I think it's awesome! I have never been so totally immersed in a game before. That said, I totally agree with AKA_RA, groundbreaking games like this take a long time to make (Half-Life 2, anyone?) and are usually somewhat dissapointing when they finally hit the shelves. Oh, and dont forget about the dirty bastard hackers who steal source code. Well, it will supposedly be done in September, only a year late.
