Pure speculation again. This would be very interesting if Apple did purchase Adobe. Imagine that they forced all Adobe products to be on Mac OS X. This could work out for Apple.

I have speculation: Microsoft will buy SOMETHING in the next few weeks. Their earnings report basically said "We have cash coming out of every orifice, we actually will need to start out own bank to be able to manage our holdings properly.".
I don't think there is a need for Apple to purchase Adobe since Microsoft and Adobe are enemies themselves. If Adobe wants to hurt MS, they could stop programming for Windows themselves.
That's a great point. Microsoft is stepping on Adobe's business. That is a good possibility. For that to happen, though, Adobe would have to be in a better position. They make most of their money on Windows.

Given that position, Adobe must remain with Microsoft for the time being. If Apple's marketshare increases they may be in a better position to do that.
