California sues carmakers for global warming

This is the funniest thing I have read all week. Awesome.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!?!?!? Reality check. Automobiles account for about 1% of pollution. They definately don't help anything but they arent the only cause for smog, far from it. In fact a lot of what they emit is already naturally in the atmosphere in massive numbers. Now the factories, they're another story. How about we make the corporations fix thier factories before we start picking on the auto makers? But noooooooooooooooo nobody would do that, cars are such an easy target.

EDIT: Oh yeah, the so-called o zone "hole"is a natural occurance that was discovered in THE 50S. 7th grade science right there. Another reality check. If you look at some history of weather fluctuations temperatures have always gone up and down.

The ozone hole is going back to normal because we reduced releasing ozone stripping chemicals into the air.

Also, automobiles release about 20% (actually a bit more) of the greenhouse gas pollution into the air.

I'm not going to say you're wrong, but we've heard two different stories then.
