Wow, how dumb can you be, to jump off a bridge. Didn't he realize that even if by some miracle he survived they would just fire at him or call out a boat to pick him up. Being in the water is he absolute last place a person ought to be if you're being chase, but then he wasn't thinking.

I can't imagine it would have been amazingly easy to get out of the seatbelt and locked car if his hands were supposedly in handcuffs. Clearly there are ways it is possible. They probably threw him in the river or something...

The jump didn't kill him, but the fact that he was handcuffed did. Watch the parents try and blame it on the police.

Wow that's stupid? I would've just taken the charges, it's not that bad he would've only made the charges worse if he survived...

He was probably trying anyway possible to get out of it, he was 16 (I think), or some where around there. There's always the fact that his parents could be total hard asses and he was afraid to face them. He was young and scared, and just happened to take the stupidest way out, at least in my opinion.

maybe this chap knew he would survive the jump, but was too stupid to realize that he can't swim handcuffed.

i give him +200 ballz -1000s brain cells.....but i belive he knew that he would surive the jump like zombie said but didnt relize after the jump his legs would probly give out and sinces his hinds were cuffed he was screwed.... his mommy and daddy probly would have been crushed to find out there son was arested for not only driveing without a licenes but being drunk too. being underage dont make the parents look good to that might have been 1 reason he jumped.... but by then it would be too late they could just go to his house and pick him up surly they knew where he lived by then.
