OpenLdap Installation guide on Ubuntu Follow-up? Fri Apr 30, 2010 1:47:55 PM#119346Perm Link
I was wondering if the followup guide for centralized login stated in the installation guide was ever made. I got my ldap server up and running but I'm not exactly sure how to use it with my external applications. I'm trying to setup ldap with Zimbra, Mahara, and Moodle. So if anyone knows anything about this or could point me in the right direction for setup for any one of those that would be great. Thanks
I actually was planning on doing that, but forgot about it. I'll have to do some research to refresh my own memory. Are you trying for single sign on? Or something like having the same name and password across the apps?
2014 is going to be a good year. More content, more streamlining. Be a part of history!
Well I was looking to be able to sign onto a portal page with links that the user would click to open their moodle, mahara, and zimbra accounts. I was able to get everything setup for the username and password to work system wide. I created a page that the user could use to change their password but thats about it. I'm pretty sure I could get them to be able to logon to zimbra from the portal but not sure about moodle and mahara. By the way thanks for the previous tutorial. It was the only one out of about 5 that actually worked for me.
