Would You Like Bookmarks?

I was browsing some social networking sites and was thinking about something. RSS Feeds are neat and pretty useful, but the majority of web users don't really subscribe to feeds because it is just as easy to go to the site directly.

How about if (in addition to the RSS Feeds) I added the ability to bookmark sites at ASEville and have a tag system for searching. I would be able to integrate the RSS feeds into it as well if someone wanted to add a feed.

This gives you the ability to have a single page, anywhere, to come to and see your favorite links. Others would be able to check out your links (if you so choose) and you'll be able to add specific tags to your links.

This is going to be a difficult thing todo, which I like . Anyone remotely interested in having this ability? ASEville is highly under used at the moment and I'd love to get more people doing stuff on it: »http://www.aseville.com

Hell I'd use it.

Even though I set Firefox to just open up all my favorite sites from the get-go, there would be no disadvantage to this.

i wouldnt, but then again, i dont know what an RSS feed is. And i dont use them.

I realize that now... But what I am proposing is just plain old 'I like this website'... 'Copy link'... 'Paste at ASEville'... End of story.

Bookmarks in one place! Other than the tagging system, it should be easy.

As such as I normally do, this is being written now and will be ready for testing by Monday or so. I'm keeping the RSS Feeds seperated.
