Pokemon: The Ongaku Region

"You did good, I must say I would have done things different... your very brash and fiery.. and take a lot of chances" he says
As he could see her aura..... "But I must commend you for coming out on top, you won a three pokemon battle with two pokemon and your starly evolved and is more powerful ... I don't think I can beat you now" he says
"For my battle i'm going to do things different... hopefully I win" he says

"It's no fun if you don't take chances!" Cabella laughs, throwing her arms into the air. Her eyes seemed to spark with her energy. "And plus, it keeps the opponent on their toes~" She laughs, doing a quick twirl. "And I'm pretty sure you'll win. No, I know you will!" She smiles brightly at Voss. She lightly punches his arm. "Just have more confidence in yourself! I can see you've got a whole lot of potential. You're holding yourself back."

Cabella then heads up the stairs and to her room. She comes to a halt at the center of the stairs, and glances over at Voss. "Um. . ." She glances around. "Totodile is getting healed up. . . so I don't even have him. . ." She clears her throat, embarrassed. "Could I. . ." She didn't want to ask to stay in his room again. "Nevermind~" She quietly laughs, continuing her way up the stairs.

"Whats wrong... you can go stay in my room.. I have to got use the phone" he says to her

"I mean. If you WANT me to. I will. Geez. Don't need to beg!" Cabella laughs, rolling her eyes. She then makes her way to Voss' room, where she takes in a deep breath, and closes her eyes. She squeals once more and jumps onto the bed. She couldn't believe she had actually won her first gym badge! And with that, Cabella goes to her bag and pulls out her pajamas.

Voss is on the phone with Professor Cyrptomeria....
"Yes I understand... my battle is tomorrow... and Cabella did amazing... I see what you mean about her heart and the fact that she take risks" he says

The Professor smiles..."Yes she is something alright ... but good luck on your battle tomorrow now that your better equipped and you know a little about his battle style" he says
"Thanks Professor... goodbye" he says hanging up

He goes to the room ... and see's Cabella in his bed... "Hey still excited about your battle win" he says

"Yes!" Cabella laughs, rolling around and then sitting up. She straightenss out her camisole and smiles brightly at Voss. "I beat an actual gym leader Voss! You don't know how long I've been waiting for this day!" She beams, her joy radiating. She didn't feel like sleeping. She felt like going out. Running around. Jumping. And she springs off the bed and tackles Voss into a hug. "I could just kiss you!" She squeals. She then realizes what she had said and backs away, scratching the back of her head. "I mean. . ." She clears her throat, trying to find a cover up. "Nice weather!" She points out the window.

"Im glad you won" he says going to the bathroom and comes out in his t-shirt and Pajama pants
He gets in the bed..."well you can go running and come to bed anytime" he says
"I gotta go over what i'll do ...3 pokemon and Beedrill is his most powerful... " he says thinking outloud

"Can do! Have fun with your brain stuff~" Cabella salutes Voss. She slips on a sweatshirt and then slips out of the room. She glances from side to side to make sure no one had noticed. Cabella then makes her way out of the Pokemon Center and starts jogging. She was relieved that she had gotten away from her embarassing comment. She takes in another deep breath before heading towards the forest.

Cabella is running through the path of the forest, her thoughts racing. There was so much on her mind. From the battle. To Keegan. To Voss. It was all giving her a headache. What could she change? What would she do for her next battle? Should she not be as much of a risk taker? Would she ever encounter Keegan? . . .Was she actually having feelings for Voss?

Her thoughts are brought to a sudden stop as she is knocked aside. She cries out, her entire left side in pain as she had been smashed into a tree. Cabella winces as she sits up and against the tree, grasping her side. When she looks up, she sees the young man from earlier. . . and his Salamence. He laughs, and the Salamence gives a low growl, its tail swinging from side to side.

"Look at you. So pathetic." The blond boy snorts, fixing the glove on his right hand. "I should just deal with you now. . . Come on, bring out that little sad Totodile of yours."

Cabella glares at him. He laughs. "Oh! I see. . . you don't even have a pokemon on you?" He arches a brow. "That's no fun." He sighs. "I guess you were a waste of my time then. Though. . . I suppose you would have been even if we HAD battled." He folds his arms over his chest and looks at Salamence. "I guess. . . you could be useful for other things. But I don't know if you're worthy or not for my love." He chuckles.

Cabella hisses at him as he nears her. He erupts into laughter and takes a step back, "Woah little kitty. Calm down. I won't touch you." He chuckles.

She watches as he gets on Salamence, and they take off into the skies, and disappear. Cabella manages to get to her feet, but she was still in pain. Not as much as before, but there were several bloody scratches on the side that had been smashed into the tree.

Slowly, Cabella makes her way back to the Pokemon Center. She walks into the room, hoping that she hadn't woken Voss up. Cabella tip toes her way into the bathroom, and peels off her bloody and tattered sweatshirt and her camisole, so she can get a better look at the wounds. She winces and bites her lower lip to keep quiet as she pulls a piece of bark from one of the small gashes on her side.

"Whoever the hell that was better watch out. . ." She angrily mutters to herself, tears brimming her eyes as she continues to pull out slivers.

Voss Wakes up and see's Cabella addressing a wound...
He rushes in.. "WHAT HAPPENED... O MY GOD YOUR HURT" he says
"TAKE OFF THE SHIRT I GOT SOME MEDICAL SUPPLIES AND SOME TWEEZERS... WHAT HAPPENED CABELLA" he asks again as he grabs his med bag

Cabella looks at Voss, and quickly wipes away the tears before they could fall. She just sits in silence. She refused to take her shirt off. She refused to say anything. Right now she felt weak as she sat on the bathroom counter. She had felt powerless as the young man had attacked.

Finally, words find their way out, "It's nothing Voss. Just go back to bed. Please."

Voss didn't listen...he carried her to the bed and held her down forcibly...he lifted her shirt and used tweezers to pull out the remaining splinters in her...
When done he bandages her up and gets in bed with her.
He hugs her tight... as he hopes she falls asleep with him..

Cabella grips onto Voss tightly, her face buried in his chest as she tries to muffle her crying. The tears made their way out, and she tries to stop them. She would make that boy pay for what he had done. But could she? Could she actually do it? She had been warned that only some of the most powerful trainers can control a Salamence. And she had barely beaten a bug pokemon with a flying type.

She rasps, snapping her eyes shut, "What if I shouldn't be doing this? What if I should have listened to my mom and just stayed home?"

"Shutup...what happened to that fiery girl that was battle Roach with everything she had... with her heart and soul..." he says
"No matter who this trainer is... you'll surpass them, you'll catch stronger pokemon and grow in strength... if this is the real Cabella then you might as well go home and cut you journey short" he says
"What about totodile.. im sure he wouldn't appreciate you drowning in your sorrows like this... no one starts off on the top Cabella you have to keep moving and work through the hard times like now" he says

Cabella falls silent. She opens her eyes, and tilts her head back slightly to look at Voss. She uses a hand to wipe away the tears, and gives a quiet laugh. Her frown is quickly replaced by a smile, and she gives a single nod. "Yeah, you're right." She gives another nod. "Just like Totodile, I need to get back up when I'm knocked down. No giving up. Haha. . . If I can't even stick by my own word, then there is no point. . ." She firmly states. "No matter how powerful the strike, I refuse to stay down." She smiles brightly, that light once more in her eyes. "From now on, I won't let anything get me down."

She moves up slightly, thinking about giving Voss a kiss. But, she doesn't, and she just stays where she is. "Thank you." She whispers.

"Good now get some sleep... your still hurt..." he says
Voss hugs her a little tighter..."Your welcome..." he says going to sleep
Now he had to beat roach and keep Cabella in good spirits.
He drifts off to sleep soon enough

Cabella closes her eyes and smiles as she lets sleep take her. She had a feeling that tomorrow would be a good day. And she especially couldn't wait to see Voss battle.

Voss wakes up early... he grabs his pokeballs and gets ready for his battle...
He is outside waiting on Cabella...
"Ready guys... lets show roach a battle he won't forget... so he won't underestimate a calm heart for a weak one" he says to his 3 pokeballs

Cabella gets dressed and ready, and makes her way down the stairs with her bag strapped on. Nurse Joy walks over and hands her Staravia's pokeball, and then Totodile jumps up and onto Cabella's back. She laughs, giving Totodile a quick peck on the cheek. "Great to see you all better~" She laughs, and then walks over to Voss. "Alright, let's go!" She grins.

They head to the gym..."Wish me luck Cabella" he says
They Enter the gym and of course Roach is waiting for them. He looks a little less uninterested in battling Voss

"Hmmm I guess he only likes to battle fiery trainers... he's already looking down on me" he thinks
"But i'll show him... if anything I learned from Cabella .... if she's a roaring fire then i'll become a raging river" he thinks

He takes his position on the field..."GO DUSKULL" he says tossing the pokeball out.... "Ready whenever you are Roach" he says

Roach smiles..."Yes i am ready ...go Karrablast" he says
Voss looks..."Duskull use nightshade" Voss commands... Roach looks at him and calmly says..."Counter with Endure" he says
The red and black attack is repelled...

Roach smiles..."Really Voss, you have to come better then that" he says...."KARRABLAST FURY CUTTER" he says as the bug pokemon rushes Duskull with surprising speed and its tiny horn glows as it cuts Duskull...
Voss looks on..."Duskull use leer" he says and the red light lowers Karrablast's defense but the damage is done.
Voss is slow to react he never faced a gym leader before... right now Roach seems like a giant to him...and he's cowering slightly.

Karrablast unleashes back to back Fury cutters.... and Duskull is on the brink...
"Damn... fury cutter gets stronger with each successive hit... damn..." he says a he looks over at Cabella...
"Maybe im in over my head... all he could think to do was use leer, when he tried nightshade karrablast would use endure" he is beginning to panic...
Roach smiles... "Sorry Voss... Karrablast finish it with one more furry cutter" he says

"Voss, snap out of it! Get yourself together and show me the trainer you REALLY are!" Cabella rises from the tree stump she had been sitting on. Totodile jumps up and down, shouting as well. Cabella looks at Duskull and grins. "Duskull. I know this must be scary for you, but you can't let anything stand in your way. You got that!?" She shouts. "YOU ARE THE GHOST! YOU SHOULD BE DOING THE SCARING!" She throws a fist into the air. And so does Totodile.

Voss and Duskull listen to Cabella...
"SHE'S RIGHT DUSKULL USE THE TREE FOR COVER" Voss commands...
Roach looks on... "What... did he order duskull to do" he says... as duskull dodges barely and the fury cutter hits the tree... Karrablast is a little disorientated....

Roach looks and laughs..."Lucky move Voss...but try this Bug Buzz Karrablast" he says as the pokemon lets out a sound that is about to hit duskull...
"DUSKULL YOUR THE GHOST... SHRIEK LOUDER USE ASTONISH" he commands...
Duskull's eyes glow red... as is takes a deep breath.."DUSK...SKUUUULLLLLL!!!!!!" it howls unleashing its astonish beating out bug buzz and knocking Karrablast back as the force from the attack blow both trainers back.......
When the wind settles... Roach is shocked..."Now your battling Voss....Karrablast climb the tree..." he orders and it does so ....

Voss thinks..."Duskull Nightshade" he says as the attack heads for Karrablast roach smirks
"Jump and use endure Karrablast" he says as the pokemon is now mid air enduring the attack...."Now fury Cutter" he says
With karrablast enduring the attack... it powers through the nightshade and connects with the furry cutter.....up close....
"SKUULLLL" it lets out a yell as it takes damage...
Voss looks on..."DUSKULL USE HYPNOSIS" he says as the flash of light blinds them all from furry cutter and nightshade colliding when its all done Duskull is unable to battle and Karrablast is on its feet.
Voss looks at Cabella..."Thankyou... i never seen duskull battle so hard Cabella..." he says to her... turning his attention to his pokemon..."Duskull return" he says

Roach claps... "Great effort Voss ... you and cabella battle differently but that was entertaining" he says
"Thankyou...great strategy with Karrablast.. i see why your a gym leader... but now its your turn Elekid" he says throwing the pokeball and Elekid Emerges..."KIIIIID" it says pumping both fists into the air

Elekid is ready....

Roach smiles..."Ok Karrablast use headbutt" he orders but karrablast doesn't move...
Roach is bewildered..."Karrablast use headbutt" he says again... but again nothing...Roach looks at Karrablast carefully... "OH no Karrablast wake up" he says

"Seems like the Hypnosis took before Duskull lost consciousness ..." he says..."Elekid... use cross chop" he says
Both of Elekids arms glow as it crosses its arms and moves as if it moves right through Karrablast as there is a flash X mark upon impact and Karrablast wakes up but lost Consciouness shortly after...
Roach laughs to himself... "Well played" he says....returning Karrablast and then summoning Surskit....

Voss takes the first move...."Elekid Thundershock" he commands and Elekid unleashes the attack but its as if it hits a mirror image of Surskit because it easily evades the attack....

"I worked on my surskits speed Voss, im well aware of your advantage... now surskit use double team... then quick attack" he says
Voss looks..."Elekid we know this strategy keep your guard up" he says as Elekid puts its arms up in a blocking formation after surskit constantly uses quick attack...
Voss's aura is begining to change..."Elekid i trust you... use Karate chop on the one you feel is real" he says

Roach is surprised again.. "Taking a chance on your pokemon's intution..." he says
"Its no fun if you don't take risks right" he says
The real surskit gets close along with 4 other clones but Elekid uses karate chop and surprises surskit as it was about to hit the real one....
"SURSKIT DODGE..." Roach commands as the double team fades and the karate chop almost connected....
"Don't let up Elekid use thundershock" he says
"ELEEKIIIDDD!!" the pokemon uses the attack but Surskit dodges....
"I told you i know how to battle electric types...Surskit use double team... and now use quick attack and run circles around Elekid" roach commands....

Elekid can't focus on the real one.. surskit is moving too fast....
Roach smiles..."Now bubble beam..." he says as left and right Elekid is hit with bubble beam after bubble beam...
"Water pulse" roach says as the attack hits the weakened elekid who struggles to get up....

Voss smiles..."Thankyou Roach" he says
Roach is confused..."hmm why thank me... your elekid is about to faint..." he says
"Use thundershock" he orders Elekid...
"That won't work...surskit dodge" he says
Voss says..."I didn't say on Surskit...USE IT ON THE FIELD ELEKID" he says as the attack hits the field from the constant bubblebeams and the water pulse the field was wet...
Surskit is hit with the traveling electricity..."SKIIIIITTTTTT!!!" it yells out...
"Finish it off with Thundershock" he says
As the thundershock is a direct hit....surskit faints.....

Roach looks on in amazement..."Wow... great strategy...Surskit return......GO BEEDRILL" he says as beedrill comes out...
Elekid is ready... but Voss stops his pokemon...
"Wait Elekid... please i know you want to take on Beedrill but i want to try something else" he says

Roach wonders... what he means by this...
Voss talks to Elekid and although he's disappointed he returns but not before giving a thumbs up to Voss

"I choose you...Rioulu" he says

Cabella throws her arms into the air and laughs, "Great to see you have more than two pokemon Voss!" She laughs. She sits back down on the stump and mutters to herself, "If I would have known Roach had three pokemon before I would have been better prepared." Totodile hears this and laughs. Cabella shrugs and smiles at Totodile, "But hey! We still won!" She beams, and Totodile nods.

Roach looks on..."Ok you had a ace up your sleeve... but you shift from the electric type to the fighting type... you gave me the advantage" he says
"RiOOOUUU" rioulu shouts as it shadow boxes.

"Hmm spirited pokemon....Beedrill Aerial Ace" he calls out....Beedrill flys up and comes down with the wind and white aura around him... and connects with the attack knocking Rioulu back but it only slides and winces... but rioulu is on its feet still.
"Aaahhh i see you taught your beedrill a flying type technique... smart of you" Voss says...he looks at Rioulu..."Ready to play buddy..." he says
"Ri...Ri...Rioulu" it says back in great spirits

"Hmmm did you just say...play... i don't understand..what happened to the raging water like spirit you had like earlier...either way Beedrill Twin needle" he says as the pokemon dives down

"Rioulu dodge" Voss commands as Rioulu jumps over beedrill and the pokemon is careful not to run into the ground this time especially since the field is watery and now mud like after skurskit...
Voss thinks for a second..."Rioulu...use mud balll" he says
Roaches expression is showing more shock..."Mud ball is not a pokemon move...use poison Jab" he says then commanding Beedrill
Rioulu scoopes up some mud from the field and throws it at beedrill hitting it in the face and blurring its vision as it misses with the poison jab and runs into a tree....
Rioulu hopes up in down in a sign of happiness and victory for hitting his target.....

Roach looks on..."What the heck...beedrill USE PIN MISSILE" he says
Voss quickly command... "Bullet mud ball Rioulu" he says ... "RI....OULUUUUUU" the pokemon says spinning around grabbing mud off the field and throwing it hitting most of the pin missiles that were going to hit it... the others sick into the ground....
Roach actually begins to get a little upset..."WHAT KIND OF MOVE IS THAT" he says
Voss smirks..."Move... me and Rioulu are just playing...we use to play like this all the time when i was younger have mud and snowball fights. He says a Rioulu puffs out its chest.

Roach looks on... "I see now... your different with this pokemon..so im going all out... beedrilll use agility then fury attack" he says
Beedrill glows as its speed rapidly increases and it hits Rioulu with a fury of assaults...... "LUUUU" the pokemon scream
"Oh no... rioulu use quick attack ... now" he says and rioulu does so but beedrill evades... Agility raised its evasiveness
Roach smiles... "Twin needle" he says as the pokemon rams Rioulu... sending him rolling backwards....
"Ri...Ri...Ri" rioulu chants as it gets back up and continues to shadow box as it chants
Roach looks on..."Use twin needle again" he says as it rams rioulu again and again rioulu gets up and chants "Ri...Ri..Ri" as it shadow boxes and even sticks its tongue out at Beedrill
Roach is now mad..."It won't stay down" he thinks as it reminds him of Cabella's totodile but Voss's calm heart frustrates him more...."END IT BEEDRILL USE RAGE THEN TWIN NEEDLE" he commands making a reckless charge as it glows red from using rage... Beedrill hits Rioulu... but without even ordering it to Rioulu stands its ground....V

Voss smiles... "Its over... RIOULU USE COUNTER" he commands
Roach looks on..."Counter... but beedrill is in rage and attacking counter repays double the damage" he says
Voss looks on ..."Your right... it does" he says as Rioulu endures the attack and comes back with a punch with twice the damage... stunning beedrill....
"DRII...iiillll" it says as it faints.....
Roach is in shock..."i can't believe it... he went from a raging water to a calm playful heart and won using crazy techniques..." he thinks as he smiles
"Voss Vordhees... you will congratulations" he says as he returns beedrill and tosses Voss a badge...
Voss looks at the badge in disbelief and Rioulu runs up and hugs him...."Thankyou.. ok retuur..." he begins to says but rioulu knocks the pokeball away and jumps on Voss's head..."RIIIII OULUU" it says triumphantly... it loved to battle

"It's finally over!" Cabella shouts, her arms in the air once more. She then clears her throat and says, "I mean, you won!" She grins, getting up from the tree stump and making her way over to Voss. She does the same thing he had done to her, but instead of a gentle hug Cabella ends up giving Voss a bear hug. "That was so cool! You were all like bam and pow and it was awesome! I seriously can't wait to battle you now!"

When she backs away, Totodile looks at Riolu from Cabella's back, and waves, smiling. Cabella sees this and chuckles, "I feel like these two will get along quite well."

Roach walks up to them, clapping his hands and smiling brightly. "It was a pleasure to meet you both~" He chimes, looking from Cabella to Voss, "I can now understand why you two are dating~"

Cabella could feel her face turn a shade of red as she waves her hands in frantic motions, "S-sorry, but we're not!"

"Oh, so you're free then?" Roach grins at Cabella.

Cabella's face turns even more red at this question, and she looks at Voss for help.

Voss looks up at Rioulu...ignoring Cabella's stares...he finally looks at her.
"Well the bugman...has a crush on you" he says to her then turns to Roach

"Yep she's free to date you once you get past her mother. .of course" he says tossing roach his phone after he called cabella's mom

Before Roach could even put the phone to his ear, screaming could be heard. At first it was incoherent, and then pieces of "YOU STAY AWAY FROM HER PRECIOUS LITTLE BODY!" and "I WILL TEAR OUT ALL YOUR INNARDS!" can be made out of the roaring. Cabella looks at a frightened Roach, whom hangs up and gives the phone back to Voss.

"I wish you good luck on your journey!" Roach salutes them before disappearing in the trees.

Cabella looks at Voss, and she bursts out laughing. She then turns around and leads them out of the gym. "That was great." She snickers. "Alright. . . now to the next gym! Cobblestone City, here we come!" Cabella yells, throwing a fist at the sky. And Totodile does the same.



The two are walking down a path, which twists and winds. And goes up several hills. Cabella was just glad that the next forest wouldn't be for another mile or so. She hums to herself, thinking about how great she and Voss had battled against Roach. But, she knew the gym leaders would get stronger as they go!

Her phone goes off, and she is quick to answer. At first, she expected to hear her mother's roars. But, instead her mother was. . . calm. Actually, she sounded a bit worried. Cabella wonders aloud, "Mom, what's going on?"

"Cabella, your father has gone missing. He was in the Hoenn Region. . . and I just got a call from one of his co-workers. They said that while they had been doing research in a cave, that Bennett was there one second, and then he was gone the next. And there is no trace of him anywhere." Her mother replies, almost under her breath. She could tell her mother had been crying.

Cabella is silent for a second. She takes in a deep breath, stopping in her tracks. Totodile looks at Cabella in question. "Mom, don't worry. He'll. . . he'll show up." She lightly laughs. "You know how dad is. If anything he's probably trying to write everything that's happening down! He'll be safe! And I'll keep my eye out just in case!"

With that, Cabella says good-bye, and then takes in another deep breath. She looks at Voss, and then continues to walk, touching the brim of her hat as if to say 'stay safe' to her father.

She then looks at Voss once more and says, "There is a small town between this point and Cobblestone City. We need to stop there for some supplies." In reality, she wanted to make as many stops as possible. Maybe her dad would turn up somewhere. She felt like the chance was small. . . but it wouldn't hurt to try.



Cabella had searched nearly everywhere in Clover Town. She looked around every corner. In every building. Yet, there was no sign of her father anywhere. And when Cabella collapses at a nearby park bench, she looks up at the sky to realize that the sun is going down.

She must have been searching for hours. . .

After Cabella catches her breath, she tells Voss, "We may as well make ourselves at home here for the night, and then in the morning we'll have to go through the mountain's caves to get to the other side and to Cobblestone City. Unless you want to keep going and just make camp somewhere when we get tired?"

(Bump!)

Voss looks at her...he could tell that behind her brave and fiery demeanor that she was truly worried about her father.
"What do you think we should do Rioulu...
Rioulu drops to the floor with its legs crossed sitting Indian style
"Rioulu. .ri ri rio" he says

Voss looks at his rioulu who seemed to be meditating...so voss drops down...looks at him..and he sees a sleep bubble and rioulu begins to lightly snore
"I guess that means we should rest up now" he says getting out his sleeping bag
