Honoka wasn’t tired. Mentally she was, but not physically. She looks over at Yashiro, the candle light making the darkness of the room dance across her face. Her eyes seemed to have a new light in them, and every time she blinked it would grow brighter. Within a second, Honoka has Yashiro grasped in a hug, her arms wound tightly around him as she nuzzles her face into his chest.
“Thank you. So much.” Honoka tells him, her grip tightening. And that’s all she could say. Her thoughts were racing with the words he had spoken. It was clear that he had seen much more of this world than she has. They all had.
After a moment, Honoka pulls away and returns to her spot by the candle. “You can sleep. You need it. But I need to think.” She smiles. "I can be the one to wake everyone up when the sun comes round." She laughs, leaning forward slightly and closer to the flame.
Honoka sits within their current home. "Their" meaning just she and Yashiro. It has been two weeks since the group split up. Honoka wasn’t big on the idea at first, but it seemed like the right thing now. In another week they would leave to go meet up with Masanori and Yasu at the mountains. That is their first point. Honoka wasn’t sure where the next was. She couldn’t remember. There was too much to remember lately, between her training with Yashiro and helping him with his work at the hospital.
Too much to remember.
She was stressed.
Her eyes open and she takes a look around. She had been meditating.
It was her way of coping with the stress.
Though it still lingered.

Masanori and Yasu had been chased nearly four miles by a group of bandits. Masanori and Yasu could have taken them out. That is, if they weren’t both bound together by chains. Masanori could have easily broken them, if Yasu wasn’t bound to him.
“So many problems!” Masanori heavily sighs as he drags them both into a building. It looked like a small shop, filled with various trinkets. With luck, maybe they’d find something to pick the lock to the chains.
That is, if there was luck. And Masanori was never one for luck.
“What are you blabbering on about now?” Yasu hisses at Masanori as she is forced in one direction.
“Nothing nothing.” Masanori mutters, his gaze tracing around the room.
Yashiro was in the room working on a formula to help detect the Parasyte in victims bodies... He had a vile of Masanori's blood and even through a microscope the Parasyte was so integrated with the subjects blood stream it was almost impossible to tell...
He looked over at Honoka and saw her meditating ..."Look Honoka you can rest you have been training constantly and your mind and body has to be fatigued by now, its been a couple of weeks and you don't seem to be getting better if anything you seem more stressed from trying to bury it all" he says to her.
Who was he kidding Yashiro had gone a couple of days without sleep
He had tried almost every chemical he could think of that magnifies the blood
He had an idea and tried CuSO4 which was Cupric Sulfate and it worked the Parasyte became visible under the lens
Yashiro called his assistant Mamoru....
Yashiro ran out the room and told Mamoru to bring back more Cupric sulfate
(Mamoru) "Ok you got it boss" he says as he comes with a glass container with it but he fell and it broke... the Cupric Sulfate got all over him.."Im so sorry Yashiro, i slipped man its all over me..." he says as he tried to clean himself off.
Yashiro went to the mess and helped pick up the glass..."Its ok...Ma...m..." he stops as he stares at Mamoru as veins are showing around his neck and arms....
Mamoru looks at him "Is everything ok, Yashiro" he questions....
Yashiro just looks at him curiously as he grabs the lens from the microscope and looks at Mamoru through it...and he was surprised at what he saw...He saw the Parasyte and it looked as if it was slowly making its way to his brain.
"Nothing mamorou just thought i saw something, but don't worry about it we'll get some more tomorrow" he says as he smiled as Mamoru left
Yashiro sat down, it seems that when it makes contact with the skin it becomes visible under a specific lens... Yashiro's hand trembled as he took some of the remaining Cupric Sulfate and put it on him... and went to a mirror to look at himself with the lens
What if he was infected
What would he do, how would he cope
his hand trembled as he raised the lens to eye level
every second felt like hours as he was very hesitant
Finally he looks at himself in the mirror
“You should also get some rest. Even a nap.” Honoka had responded to Yashiro.
Honoka got to her feet and left the hospital. She has Nobuo’s blade at her side. People had a tendency to stare at it. Weapons weren’t common within the city. It was a fairly peaceful place, the only disturbance seeming to be Honoka and Yashiro.
She walks towards the building that she and Yashiro were staying it. Several children rush past her, playing with a ball. She somewhat smiles at the sight. Everyone in this city seemed so innocent. They had never seen the chaos of Parasyte before. Blood has never been shed here. And Honoka would love to keep it that way.
Straightening herself out as she walks, Honoka didn’t want to seem tired or anything. The last time she had made herself look vulnerable she was instantly surrounded by citizens who wanted to help her. They were all very friendly, and Honoka sometimes wondered if that would be a downfall to them. Her village had been the same way, and Honoka isn’t pleased with the results.
Yet, she once more decides that she would love for the city to stay as it is. Untouched and untainted.
Honoka makes her way into their home, and sets her katana aside. Their home was close to the hospital, and for good reason.
Sleep still seemed to be a distant thought, though, even as she gazes over at the floor mats.
"Yashiro probably won't show up until late again. . ." Honoka mutters to herself with a quiet sigh. She once more picks up her blade and flicks the sheathe away, and then heads outside to practice on her stance and strikes.
Masanori and Yasu stand, rubbing their arms and wrists. They had managed to find a key in the back of the small trinket shop. It seemed to have belonged to some sort of chest, but still worked for the lock on the chains. The two look at each other and sigh before taking another glance around.
“Doesn’t seem like anyone is even here. . . leaving a shop alone isn’t very safe.” Yasu states, arching a brow as she reaches out to touch the porcelain face of a limp doll. It moves slightly at Yasu’s touch, causing her to yelp. Before it can fall off the counter, Masanori catches it and then sets it back in place.
“No, it isn’t safe with you here.” Masanori replies, looking at her and shaking his head.
“We should leave.” Yasu quickly changes the subject. “Just in case someone does end up showing up and thinking that we’re thieves.”
Masanori smirks as he heads for the door, “Or just people out to destroy the place.”
“Shut up.” Yasu huffs as she follows closely behind Masanori.
The two walk out of the shop and start on their way down a staircase. Masanori was trailing after the scent of food, and Yasu became aware of that.
“How do you think Honoka and Yashiro are doing?” Yasu ponders, now at Masanori’s side.
Yashiro walks into his room and sits down looking at Honoka.... he has the microscope in his hand...
"i...I ..I did it, I found a way to identify... those who are infected with the parasyte... i can't believe it but i did it. The parasyte attaches to DNA and all our molecules but its not 100% fused if the right chemical gets into the blood stream the infected blood rises ... so its then visible in the right light or with the right lens." he says frantically
He is pacing back and forth as he is still thinking..."But what triggers the change if it lives dormant in the bloodstream why does it take an emotional reaction for the Parasyte to consume the victim... maybe its the adrenaline...Yes.. maybe the Adrenal glands secrete adrenaline in the base of the spine and that is a one way ladder up to the brain." he says as he continues speaking of his discovery...
He looks as Honoka as he realizes he has been rambling..."Im sorry but im still in awwe but ... what am I to do if we can identify who is infected... do we kill them would it be wrong since the person is a ticking time bomb?" he asks
Honoka looks at Yashiro, her head tilted 45 degrees as he talked. She had listened to every word, and was surprised. She was also overjoyed. But when it came to his final statement, Honoka sank in her skin and gnaws at the inside of her cheek. Brows furrowing, it’s clear that Honoka is thinking. There had to be some brilliant thought hiding somewhere.
But it never appeared.
And Honoka glances away, “I feel like that’s all something you’d have to discuss with Masanori.” She slightly shrugs, her attention slowly returning to Yashiro. “I’m sorry that I couldn’t be of much help with that decision, but when it comes down to it, Masanori is the one who you must converse with over this matter. I mean, he’s the one who has the weapon to kill the infected.”
She sighs, rubbing her forehead and closing her eyes. “But we still have several days before we meet up with them at our designated point. . . so we will have to wait. We can do some thinking ourselves first.” She forces a smile.
Masanori and Yasu walk through the town, side by side. Masanori walks with a stick jutting out of his mouth. It had previously held multiple dumplings, all of which had been quickly devoured. Yasu hadn’t been hungry. She wasn’t like Masanori, whom was constantly in need of food.
“It’s getting late.” Yasu yawns as she stretches out her arms. It still felt great to no longer be wearing those heavy chains.
She glances over at Masanori, whose head is slightly tilted back. His eyes rest on the world above, where pinpricks of light were spread about the navy blue background. A full moon hung closely to Earth. It was a beautiful night, somewhat destroyed by the town's many lights.
“And I see you are getting tired. We’ll find someplace to stay for the night.” Masanori lightly smiles.
Yashiro is pacing back and forth as he is wondering about his discovery.
"Look I don't know what to do... i need to relax" he says grabbing honoka and kissing her as he missed her soft lips... "Wow i missed your kisses" he says
Removing his shirt and looks into her eyes.
"Im sorry i forgot to tell you how much i love your Honoka" he says pulling her close
Honoka lightly smiles at Yashiro, her brows somewhat arching as she gives a quiet laugh. She presses her hands against his chest, dancing her fingertips across his skin as she looks at him. “And I love you, Yashiro~” She chimes. And Honoka felt great for saying those words. But even more so hearing them. She hadn’t in a while. They made her heart flutter, just as it would on that first day she saw him.

Yasu clings to Masanori’s back, as she had grown tired of walking by herself. She groans, resting her head against his shoulder and closing her eyes. “We’ve been kicked out of three places already! There has to be some place here that will accept us.”
“Well maybe if you wouldn’t break things?” Masanori grumbles, trudging through the street.
“And there’s no way I am sleeping outside! Not here. This place gives me the creeps.” Yasu informs him.
Masanori thinks for a moment before sighing, “I agree with you on that one. . .” There was something strange about this town. Then again, there was something strange about most towns they went to. But, he didn’t get the feeling until they had left the trinket shop.
"Honoka...I want you...and I don't believe i can contain myself" he says lifting her up to the point that he legs wrap around him.
He stares into her eyes intently as his heart starts beating faster and his body heat rises....He kisses her neck as his hands is on her waist....
"May i have you Honoka... i won't continue without your consent...my love" he says
He was right on top of her kissing her neck and moving lower....and lower
Her legs were open as he was between them but his mouth hovered before her womanhood seeing her sexy underwear ... his eyes looks as her lower body in anticipation like a child on the day of their birth....
He wanted her badly, wanted to give her intimacy and bring her joy and make her feel good after having so much bad things have happened... and he didn't want to be like Yasu he wanted to take a chance with the person he loved
Honoka’s breath hitches in her throat. She could feel her cheeks become flush as she looks down at Yashiro, blinking. She was trying to find her voice. She was trying to capture something to say. Closing her eyes for a moment, Honoka heavily swallows. She quietly exhales before saying, “I want you, too, Yashiro.”
With everything else that was going on, this is the last thing Honoka would expect to happen. She was instantly flooded with thoughts. And for a second, she didn’t know what to actually think. She was nervous. A bit startled. There was some anticipation. But most definitely fueled with love.
And with her thoughts settling for a second before dispersing once more, Honoka smiles at Yashiro.
Yashiro looks at her and pulls his body away from her as he regained his senses
"I am sorry Honoka, you are hesitant i won't pressure you into doing something like this especially because i am stressed and in need of release you could say" he says getting his clothes back on and looking away from her....
"Its fine really, I lectured Yasu on going for what she wants and I took my own advice but both parties have to be willing so i apologize again....i wonder what she and Masanori are up to it would be funny if they consummated their feeling for one another" he says joking
Honoka looks at Yashiro and frowns. He didn’t seem to understand. Her brows knit together as she looks away for a moment. Returning her attention to Yashiro, Honoka states, “I don’t want to think about Masanori and Yasu right now. Or the rest of the world. I want to think about us. I want to think about you. Because you are my world, Yashiro. Don't you understand that?” She tilts her head, her frown remaining strong.

It had started to drizzle, and Masanori and Yasu were soaking wet. Yasu still clung to his back, her hair drenched and sticking to her face, as well as covering her eyes. Masanori chuckles, thinking of Yasu as his umbrella. Though, not a very effective one.
Everyone was scurrying about, trying to get into buildings as quickly as possible, carrying things with them in hopes of staying dry.
“You two over there! Come inside!”
Masanori and Yasu perk up at the sound of the voice that is directed at them. They both spot an older lady standing in a doorway, two small children clinging to the sides of her. Swiftly and gratefully, Masanori dashes over, grinning.
“I can tell by just looking at you two that you are travelers,” the woman chuckles. “And this place isn’t very friendly towards travelers. But you are welcome to stay with us until the storm passes.”
"Thankyou and you are my world Honoka.. but we don't have to have sex to show our want of one another but your amazing Honoka" he says to her as he grabs her hand and pulls her into a hug....
"I know that you don't want to think about them but just hope their ok, they are the best fighters so im sure their fine..." he says
Honoka messes with the sleeve of her kimono, biting her lower lip. She returns the hug, and takes in a deep breath. She once more closes her eyes, listening to the sound of his own heartbeat. She had always been fascinated in the way it sounded. It was soothing.
“If you remember our first kiss. . .” Honoka whispers, a smile playing on her face. “I had wished that it had gone further than that. And before, it had been due to my father recently dying. But now, now it is just because I do truly love you. If I told you I didn’t, I’d be lying to the universe.” She lightly laughs. “But if you wish to do something else then I am with you the whole way. I always will be for everything.” Honoka tilts her head back slightly to smile up at him.
"No im up for anything you wont to do but i am too aggressive ...how about next time we can go as far as you want as long as you make the move ok" he says to her
"Lets start packing we leave in a couple of days to meet Yasu and Masanori no need to wait till the last minute..." he says
Mamoru came through their quarters....one of his eyes were red it must be the parasyte spreading....
"YASHIRO....!!! YOU KNEW THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN TO ME....HE...HELLLLLP ME...WHY DIDN'T YOU HELP ME" he says screaming
Yashiro is taken back...."Damn... look Mamoru... yes i identified the parasyte...but i can't cure it yet please... your emotional state must be speeding it up..." he says
"LIAR...AHHHHH!" he screams punching Yashiro through the window... they were on the top floor so he fell quite a distance to the ground floor
Masanori and Yasu had been given a new set of clothes. The two sit across from one another at a table, one that they must sit on the ground for. Yasu rocks back and forth slightly in her spot, out of anticipation. She was hungry and she could smell the food. She looks at Masanori, intent. Strangely he seemed so calm in this situation. Usually he’d be the one freaking out at the smell of anything edible.
“I hope you like what I’ve cooked~” The woman, Ringo, laughs. She walks into the dining area with steaming pots. Her two children follow close behind, carrying plates of more heated food. Once everything has been set down, Masanori and Yasu forget their manners and are quick to dig in. Neither of them have had a home cooked meal like Ringo’s in. . . years. And a part of this scenario put a twinge to Yasu’s heart.
Masanori and Yasu both settle, and bow out of respect to Ringo. “Thank you very much. We will be sure to pay you for everything in the future.” The two say in unison.
“It’s fine, really.” Ringo smiles as she takes her spot at the table, the children once more huddled closely.
And for the first time in years, Yasu felt like there was no such thing as Parasyte. . .

Honoka’s first instinct was to run to the window and scream out to Yashiro. But, for some reason, her body moved on its own and she found herself snatching her katana off the ground and flicking the sheathe aside. And this is what felt right at the moment. To not be some frightened little girl, but to be someone who stands up and takes action.
Holding her blade up in a defensive position, Honoka starts to make her way towards the window, her heart racing as she keeps her eyes locked onto Mamoru. There was still a hint of fear. But Honoka knew there always would be. . .
"Y-Yashiro! Please a-answer me if you're alright!" Honoka calls out, her grip tightening on the blade.
Mamoru now became a mindless beast and charged Honoka even though he grew larger he was more sluggish easier to evade....
Yashiro stood, he had amazing endurance..."AHHH I'm fine Honoka, i am coming just keep him at bay!! remember Masanori is not here we don't have his blade to pierce their skin" he calls out as he gains his composure to re-enter the building to get to her.
His mind was racing and was hoping that she was ok, he knew she'd put up a great fight as she has fought an infected before but without Masanori's blade it would take a great deal of effort.
Honoka gulps, shifting her stance. She leaps to the side to avoid him, and somersaults, now behind Mamoru. Her heart was pounding in her chest. She felt like a rabbit pinned into the same space as a wolf. Her small figure against this bulking one. And Honoka knew very well that he could easily snap her as though she were nothing but a twig. That is the power of Parasyte.
Yet, courage quickly overrode every other thought. She straightens herself out, her eyes narrowing on Mamoru as she settles her own breathing. She calms her own heart rate. And within a second, Honoka’s mind is clear and she feels completely weightless.
And it was at that moment that Nobuo stood beside her. . . tall and strong. Ready to protect her at any moment she needed. Ready to help her strike. Help her dodge. Help her fight.
And Honoka twists the katana in her grip, ready for anything.
Mamoru tosses a large amounts of debris at the door trapping them in.
He smiled as his tongue was out like a animal that had cornered its prey... "ahhhh....ahhhhh" he just let out the sound as he had lost all reasoning.
He that dashed forward the Parasyte had taken over he had gained the same inhuman ability similar to Masanori... and he grabbed Honoka in his massive hands
Honoka just stares into Mamoru’s eyes, her own reflecting every thought. Every ounce of pain. There was grief that clouded her vision, as well as a certain fatigue. A tiredness directed towards death and this damn infection.
She speaks, her voice soft yet powerful, every word flowing fluidly through the air, “I am sorry for the pain you have felt. . . and must be feeling. I wish there was some way I could help you. Could have helped my father. . . and Nobuo. The victims of Parasyte are not monsters.” Honoka shakes her head, her eyes lowering for a moment. “They are what they are called. . . victims. . . prisoners.” She returns to looking at Mamoru. “And you are another one of them. And I apologize for your suffering.”
Closing her eyes, Honoka takes in two deep breaths. Opening her eyes, she glances over.
Nobuo looks at Honoka, feeling her gaze on him. And he nods.
Honoka still held onto the katana. She squirms in Mamoru’s grip, her heart racing as she could feel herself becoming free. She could feel his grasp loosen. And before he could tighten his grip, Honoka throws her arms out wide, causing his hands to fling away from her. Dropping to the ground on her toes, Honoka moves the katana to hold it in both hands. Her attention rests solely on a startled Mamoru.
Nobuo stands behind Honoka, his hands over hers, clutching the blade with her.
Honoka dashes forward, producing a powerful outcry. But, another one can be heard with hers. Nobuo.
A pink aura forms over the silver blade of the katana just as she drives it forward.
And Nobuo disperses into violet flecks of light around Honoka before moving to the blade.
The aura solidifying, it drives through Mamoru’s stomach.
And suddenly. . . the aura explodes from inside Mamoru. . . causing his eyes to flash a brilliant pink.
And Honoka pulls her blade out as she watches him start to return to normal. Cured.
And the last thing Honoka sees before blacking out is the smiling face of Nobuo. . . which vanishes with a wave good-bye.
Mamoru drops to the floor cringing as he returned to his normal state....
The doorway blows up as Yashiro stands as the debris burn around him as he walks in, clearly he had to use some ability to destroy the door and what was blocking his way.
He runs to Honoka...."ARE YOU OK!!!" he said hugging her.
"What happened...Mamoru" he says looking at his friends body
Honoka’s eyes flutter open, and she looks at Yashiro and then over at Mamoru. She blinks, and then moves away from Yashiro and over to Mamoru. It had actually worked. He was. . . he was back to normal. And there wasn’t even the wound from her blade anymore.
She warmly smiles at the space Nobuo had once taken up, and whispers a gentle, "Thank you. . ." She then looks at Yashiro and takes in a deep breath. "I had some help from a friend. . . I'm fine. Just a bit lightheaded." She says before returning her attention to Mamoru. "You should go home and rest. . . I deeply apologize if you felt any pain."
Yashiro looks at her...."Cured him how" he wondered looking at her
He looks at Mamoru and he had lost consciousness now.
"Whatever you did we have to go see Masanori and Yasu now and inform them on what happened" he says while contemplating what happened while packing their stuff.
It would take a couple of days to get to Yasu and Masanori but this was something that they had to know about it
