Joining an army isn't about killing people it's about protecting your country and the things you love.

My father is a major in the united states army, he does not enjoy killing, in fact when he was over seas it was the job of him and his men to protect small villages from the people trying to take them over. he would avoid killing if at all possible, he would give presents to the children, bring supplies for the hospitals, which where more like one story care facilities. so no, not everyone in the army is in it to kill. sure they are trained for that, and some more trained then others, but it is the job of the army to protect and serve the people who haven't been trained to protect themselves. so you can bad mouth the army all you want, but one day you are gonna say it to someone who wont take to kindly to it.

It's like joining the RCMP (federal police force) here, you don't join to arrest people, but to help keep others safe from those who would do them harm.
