Pokemon: The Ongaku Region

“We’re both on our final pokemon.” Albion says, fixing his glasses as he stares at Cabella. “You fought well.”

“As did you!” Cabella laughs, giving him two thumbs up. He gives a quiet snarl. She didn’t even seem scared. Even after Sudowoodo had effortlessly taken down two of her pokemon.



Smiling, Albion tells Sudowoodo, “Alright, I’m hungry so let’s end this as quickly as possible. Rock Slide.”

And the rings of energy form all around and above Totodile. Boulders come raining down on top of Totodile. There were so many, and little space between them. Yet, Cabella and Totodile both remain perfectly calm. They seemed to be in synch with each other, the way they both scanned each and every boulder. The way their hands were curled into tight fists.

“You know what to do.” Cabella says, looking at Totodile.

Albion looks at them in slight confusion, arching a brow. When he looks at Totodile, the pokemon is glowing with a heavy red aura. Totodile crouches down and onto all fours, but its tail sticks straight up. Its muscles are all clearly tensed as it digs all claws into the ground. And the boulders are just about to strike down on the motionless Totodile.

Albion’s and Sudowoodo’s eyes widen at what they witness.

The red aura explodes around Totodile just as its muscles recoil. Totodile shoots straight up into the air, leaving actual after burns, flames licking across the field floor where Totodile used to be. Totodile isn’t even visible, just a beam of red that breaks straight through the boulders and moves towards the ceiling.

And as the red beam hits the ceiling, it ricochets off and at an angle downwards, straight towards Sudowoodo. Sudowoodo seemed to prepare itself.

“Use Hammer Arm,” Albion calls out.

Sudowoodo’s arms glow a bright white, and it gets ready to strike the red beam as it comes nearer. But, Sudowoodo is startled, almost scared, as the red beam comes to a stop. And on all fours in front of it is Totodile, who still glows completely red – its eyes intimidating, staring directly at Sudowoodo.

But, Sudowoodo still goes to attack with Hammer Arm. Just as Sudowoodo drives its arms down on top of Totodile, Totodile slides one of its hind legs forward and then rises slightly. With arms up, it catches Sudowoodo right at its forearms, stopping Sudowoodo dead in its tracks.

“Now.” Cabella commands.

And that red aura bursts all around them just as Totodile opens its mouth, releasing Water Gun. All of the red energy seemed to move to the Water Gun, making it larger with the red energy swirling around it. And Totodile continues to hold onto Sudowoodo as it is hit by the full blast Water Gun.

When Totodile releases its grip, Sudowoodo is sent backwards and skids across the field several feet before coming to a stop. It struggles to get up, and Albion stares with wide eyes from Totodile to Cabella.

The red energy around Totodile disperses, and the pokemon stands straight with arms at its side, small hands curled into fists once more. It watches as Sudowoodo sways from side to side. It listens as Sudowoodo snarls.

And as Albion goes to command Sudowoodo, his pokemon collapses.

After a moment of silence, the ref gestures over to Cabella. “And the winner is Cabella Rose!”

The people who had been watching the battle from the stands all stare, their eyes twice their original size.

(Bump)

Voss smiled. .."Cabella won" he says..."she really dominated the battle" he thought. ..he then worried about himself

Cabella receives her badge, which looked like the green orbs that composes a Sudowoodo's hands, and then rushes over to Voss. "Look! My second badge!" She beams, her joy radiating. Totodile is on her back, clearly just as excited.

Albion makes his way over to them, scratching the back of his head. "That was amazing Cabella. . ." He tells her with a smile, and then he looks at Voss, "I will battle you tomorrow." He tells him, and then shakes Cabella's hand.

"You've got a great girl on your hands, I would say take good care of her but. . . I don't think I have to." Albion winks at Voss before making his way to another part of the gym - most likely to start treating his pokemon and train them more.

Cabella looks at Voss, and frowns somewhat. "What's wrong?" She asks, tilting her head. "And don't say nothing because I sense that something is wrong. You're scared, aren't you?" She quickly grabs his hands.

"You dominated that battle. ..but...I don't think I can" he says. ..."roach was one thing but all his pokemon are more powerful than beedrill" he says

"There you go doubting yourself again!" Cabella's brows furrow as she looks at Voss in a scolding manner. Her expression becomes more gentle as she tightens her grip on one of his hands as she lets go of the other, and leads them out of the gym. It was lightly drizzling outside, and Totodile closes its eyes as it is still on Cabella's back, in love with the water.

Cabella brings them to a pokemon center, where she drops off her pokemon. Nurse Joy asks them if they want a room, and Cabella shakes her head. She then continues to drag Voss around as they exit the pokemon center and head to her aunt's home. When they walk in, Purugly welcomes them. It appeared as though her aunt is out. Cabella sees a letter on the coffee table, and reads it: Dear Cabella, your uncle and I are heading to Grun Town for the weekend. Please feed Purugly before you leave Cobblestone City ~Yours truly, Auntie Cheryl.

"Great." Cabella mutters under her breath. She needed to ask her aunt something, too. Seemed like it would have to wait. Cabella listens as the rain outside becomes heavier, and she takes in a quiet breath. Cabella looks at Voss and says, "Voss. . . the key to winning a battle is by having faith in not only your pokemon, but also yourself. No. Faith in yourself IS the key. Without that, your pokemon start to doubt. You have to keep your head held high no matter the odds. You have SO much potential," She warmly smiles. "And I can't wait till the day you come to realize that. . . because when you do, I think we'll have one hell of a battle."

"I know. ..thanks cabella but you all had a great battle get some sleep. ..I'm going to watch some television and brainstorm" he says going to use the bathroom. ...he used the bathroom then brought Cabella a drink...he hadn't seen her drink anything in a while now..."here baby...and thanks for the talk" he says

"No way!" Cabella huffs, making herself comfortable on the couch, "I am going to stay up with you. I want to help! I mean, I did battle Albion after all. So I know a thing or two about battling him." She folds her arms over her chest, eyeing the drink. "And I'm not thirsty. If I am I can get my own drink." She replies. "So please just let me help?" She frowns.

"Ok...I wasn't going to watch tv....I'm going to go battle Albion now" he says

"You can't do that." Cabella laughs, folding her arms over her chest as she kicks her feet up onto the coffee table. "He said he won't be ready till tomorrow." She replies. "Cut the guy some slack, I mean he just got back from spending two days trapped in a cave, and just got his ass handed to him by me. Just like my pokemon are off at the pokemon center, his are going to be, too." Cabella stands up and flicks Voss' forehead. "For someone who is so smart." She rolls her eyes.

She then takes in a quiet breath, "Or I guess you could go check. . . but if anything he's probably already battling someone. He did have a line."

Voss sighs...."your right. . I'm just going to rest and prepare" he says going to the bedroom

Cabella watches as Voss walks to the bedroom, and she thinks for a moment. She then looks at the couch and at the TV.

"I'll let him get his rest." Cabella quietly laughs to herself as she grabs a blanket and curls up on the couch in the living room and flicks on the television. She didn't even bother with trying to sleep any more. Whatever that Nebusteria pokemon wanted. . . it wasn't going to give up. . .

The Next Day

Voss wakes up early. ..he is not too far from Albions gym...he was thinking of a strategy. ..hopefully it would work

Cabella trails closely behind Voss, her hands cupped behind her back as she walks, her strides long. She jumps into a puddle, and then leaps out, Totodile tagging along and doing the same. She looks away from the ground and up at Voss, "Just try not to freak out~" She chimes, smiling. "And remember, watch out for that Hammer Arm." She warns, and Totodile nods.

Voss nods....he had 3 pokemon and had to defeat Albion's 5
He was still worried but he had to win

He enters the gym...and Albion is shirtless in the stands behind him...she has a hoody over her face but you can clearly see that she is looking at Cabella ...and more importantly totodile...she was wearing all blue.
(Third gym leader)

"Sorry i was breaking coal...ready for our battle Voss...I was looking forward to it" he says walking to the field
Voss gets to the field...and he doesn't say anything he just throws out Elekid.
Albion looks at the pokemon. .."interesting choice. ..go shieldon" he says summoning his pokemon
"First move is yours Voss" he says

"Ok Elekid...thundershock" he says
"Eleeekiiidd" the pokemon says shocking sheldion..."Don. .." the pokemon says shrugging the half effective attack off...
"Hmmm you had to know that wouldn't work...use tackle" he says
Sheldion charges at elekid striking elekid...
Voss smiles "I just had to gauge how resistant your pokemon was to electricity. ...the metal makes sheildon only half resistant not immune. ..so elekid hit it with a thunder punch at its side" he says
"Kid...kiiid" the pokemon says hitting it at the area where it had no armor...
Sheildon took damage....as it backed away.
"Keep it up elekid...use your speed thunderpunch ..." he says as elekid dodges all attack as shieldon is slow and came back with a thunderpunch at its side...each time.
Voss was happy building momentum....

(I'm just gonna let you post the entire battle like I did.)

Voss is confident. ..but Albion is calm..."don't worry" he says trusting his pokemon. ..who didn't want to fail Albion again
Soon a bright light is seen from sheildon...it grows bigger...and soon its a Bastion



"BAST....TIIIONN"...The pokemon roars
Voss looks on..."oh no...don't falter elekid keep up the strategy thunder punch at its side. .." he says...elekid listens and attacks but it does nothing. ..elekid is surprised the area on its body that was soft is now covered in armor.
"That won't work anymore...Bastion metal burst" he orders
Voss looks on ..."elekid its bigger and slower dodge"
Bastion is covered in a white light. .as it charges at an explosive speed ramming elekid...knocking him out.
"Bast" he roars...breathing heavy...
"Ohh your tired from evolving" Albion says as Voss returns elekid

"Ok Rioulu your up" he says
"I'm already off to a bad start...his pokemon evolving and I only have rioulu and duskull" he thinks

"Bastion metal burst" Albion orders...as Bastion charges Rioulu prepared itself. .."dodge rioulu and use low kick on bastion's right leg" Voss says
Rioulu dodged and hit bastion with the low kick doing major damage as the leg collapsed. ...
"Rioulu do the same to his other legs" Voss commands as Rioulu does this 3 more times knocking it flat on his stomach
"Bastion" Albion called out as his pokemon was unable to battle. ...Albion returns his Bastion. ..and throws out a pokeball
"SUDO" the pokemon says pumping its fist.
"What your ace pokemon already" Voss says
Albion laughed..."your ace deserves my ace don't you think" he says "Rioulu low kick" Voss commands. ...
"Rock polish sudowoodo" Albion orders and sudowoodo becomes shiny and dodges the low kick.......
"Hammer arm" Albion orders as sudowoodo arm glows...
"He's evasive but your faster Rioulu. ..use quick attack then force palm" Voss commands
Rioulu glows white picking up speed...as it goes around the hammer arm which breaks the ground...and gets behind sudowoodo and strikes it in the back with force palm...which sends sudowoodo skidding on the ground on its feet though but its not too damaged confusing Voss.
"My sudowoodo's defense is pretty high. ..now hammer arm" he orders
Sudowoodo charges for rioulu "woodo" it says raising its arm....
"Ok then we'll repay double the damage...use counter" Voss commands as Rioulu takes the hammer arm he strikes with a punch that send sudowoodo flying. ..but it soon gets up surprising Rioulu. ...while its breathing heavy.
"I told you sudowoodo has a high defense you can counter its strike...but rioulu still takes damage...."Albion says
"Now sudowoodo hammer arm" he says
"Rioulu endure then counter" Voss says. ..as Rioulu endured the attack. ..then goes to hit sudowoodo with a counter...
But... (Albion)"brace yourself sudowoodo then use your counter" he says after...Rioulu connects with his attack sudowoodo hits him in the stomach with its counter...surprising Voss.
"It knew counter all this time" he thought. ..as Rioulu's eye bulge in pain. ..Voss saw his victory slip away...
"Sudowoodo end it double hammer arm"...and both of sudowoodo's arm's glow as they drive Rioulu into the ground. ..Rioulu is unable to battle after that devastating attack. ..
Voss. ..can't believe it...he brings rioulu back...he summons duskull but he lost his confidence. ..and duskull looses almost immediately.

Albion looks at Voss. .."you disappoint me Voss. ..traveling with someone like Cabella who showed me a great battle I expected the same from you...we are both thinkers also...sudowoodo return"
Voss is speechless. ..he just returned his duskull. ..and leaves the gym.

Cabella rises from her seat at the stands, and looks at Albion. She watches as the girl whose face is covered by a hood leaps down from the stands and towards Albion. There was something about that girl. But, right now, Cabella didn't care about that.

She rushes out of the stands and exits the gym, chasing after Voss with Totodile clinging onto her back. When she catches up and she walks beside him.

Voss just heads to the pokemon center. ..he doesn't even say much about what happened.

After rioulu and his other pokemon are healed he speaks to them as he lets them out.
"Im sorry guys....I had a chance even had an advantage with Rioulu but i messed up....I didn't have faith in you guys... i was just concerned with the odds....I'm sorry" he says again

(Bump)

Cabella stands beside Voss, arms folded over her chest. She smiles at him and then at his pokemon. "All you gotta do is try again, and this time don't have any doubts. Even if you start to doubt then just ride it out!" She grins. "That's what I did when I battled Roach!" She laughs. "I mean, look at what happened when I did. . . Starly evolved into Staravia because I went with it. Don't fight. Embrace." She shrugs. "And if you feel like you're gonna lose, then go out with a BANG!" She throws a fist into the air.

"TOTODILE!" The pokemon on her back also throws a fist into the air, grinning.

Cabella and Totodile laugh for a moment, and then she adds, "But you know what!? We should go out and find you another pokemon!" She smiles brightly. "I mean, I got the chance to capture a Pawniard. . . which seemed like you wanted. . . So it's only fair that you get a chance to catch something awesome!"

"Yea lets go fishing....I'm not like you and your fiery heart...I'm a stategist so water is my best bet" he says
He goes in his bag and puts together his collapsable golden rod...."you coming I have other rods" he says

"Oh, I know you do." Cabella gives two winks and then nudges him. She then laughs as she leads them out of the pokemon center, and does a quick twirl. Totodile leaps off Cabella's back as they wait for Voss. She had no clue where they were going to go fishing. She remembers there being a lake nearby. . . maybe.

Voss heads for the lake
He sits by the edge with rioulu and throws his line in....
After a while he gets a bite...



Voss thinks. .."cabella a staryu suits you better you are a star" he says

Cabella is in the water with Totodile - as she had gotten bored of fishing. She looks at the Staryu and shakes her head. "Don't want it. No offense or anything." She shrugs. She ends up letting the Staryu off the line and begins to play with it in the water.

After a moment of Cabella being underwater, she pops her head up, and then throws her arms into the air, something within her grasp. "LOOK WHAT I FOUND AT THE BOTTOM!" She grins. "ISN'T IT CUTE!?"

Voss shrugs..."ahhh a kabuto...really this is your definition of cute I'm going to reevaluate my looks" he says
"Well capture it then" he says as he gets another bite



Voss looks at the pokemon. .."oh a feebas....ooohhh I want it....your mine" he says grabbing a container of water and puts feebas inside it.

"What this little cutie evolves into is soooo badass, though!" Cabella laughs as she hugs the Kabuto. "But, it's not the one for me~" She laughs as she sets the pokemon free and then makes her way back to land. Totodile follows, and the two shake off the water.

Cabella then looks at the Feebas and arches a brow, "You better watch out. . . there are some bird pokemon around who would love to take that from you." She warns, taking a quick glance around.

"No...not my feebas...I'll call her cabella" he says as he keeps fishing...



"THAT'S. ..IT A PALPITOAD...GROUND AND WATER...ITS LIKE FINDING A MARSHSTOMP" he says
"Ooo rioulu. ..its playtime" he says as rioulu gets in fighting stance

Cabella just rolls her eyes as she looks at Totodile. "How about we get out of here, hm?" She arches a brow. Totodile nods. Cabella then says to Voss, "You have fun here, doing your boring little fishing and playing and what not~ We're gonna go find something else to do. You have my number." She waves before walking off with Totodile on her back once more.

She stops by her aunt's house to get new clothes on, and then heads out. Totodile is at her side, and she sighs, "I'm guessing he'll be there for another hour or two or. . . who knows." She rolls her eyes. "So let's go get some training in." She smiles, and Totodile nods in agreement.

Cabella starts making her way towards a building, where trainers can go to battle one another. But she slows her walking pace as she sees someone familiar by the door, talking to someone else. It was that underling with the Krookodile that she had scared off a while back.

"Let's get out of here." Cabella whispers to Totodile. But, as she goes to turn around, she hears someone shout, "HEY! YOU! GET OVER HERE NOW! I WANT A REMATCH!"

And Cabella looks to see the underling pointing at her, their expression quite the angry one. Cabella rolls her eyes and gives another heavy sigh before trudging her way towards the building.



Cabella walks out of the building with Totodile on her back. None of her pokemon had any scratches. She had beaten the underling once more. And quite horribly, too. But, she had also ended up battling more people. And beating them as well. She whistles as she walks through Cobblestone City, her hands in her pockets - which now contain money, thanks to her wins.

"I suppose we can go check on Voss, hm?" Cabella asks Totodile. Her pokemon nods, and she makes her way back to the lake.

"Hey Voss!" Cabella shouts, pulling a piece of paper out of her pocket. "I'm going to be participating in a pokemon contest tonight. My mom always wanted me to do one. . . So I think I'll try it out. Would you like to, too?"
