GUN: Ride a horse in the old West

Neversoft's new game for consoles is called GUN. Like Shadow of the Colossus, you can choose to ride your horse or walk through a giant landscape out west, including dusty towns, saloons, deserts, forests, lakes, mountains, mines and more. I read you can also ride a boat, hunt for food, etc. There's a day/night cycle too.

This game looks pretty cool, and a change of theme from all those Urban games inspired by GTA:SA, which still kicks ass.

This game ended too quickly, despite a great story with top notch acting and nice graphics. Also, the game "world" didn't have a day/night cycle and worst of all, it was only a fraction the size of GTA:SA or even Shadow of the Colossus. The atmosphere suffered thanks to the lack of townspeople, but the theme was well played out in the graphics and action. Good controls, nice camera to adjust as you like, and the horses were easy to manuever.

Overall, it's a good game, but needs a much larger world, with more open terrain and less paths that force you where to go.

7/10. Recommended to "The Old West" fans who don't mind a short play time.
