If you like *nix and run windows you will like cygwin. You can read about it here - http://www.cygwin.com/
And there is Cygwin/X to go with it. Cygwin/X is a port of the X Window System to the Microsoft Windows family of operating systems. - http://x.cygwin.com/
Havent gotten a chance to checkout Cygwin/X yet but on my agenda. One of the problems of useing Dial-up is downloading ;-)
Cygwin adds a bunch of nice commands to the normal Windows CMD.exe interface. ls is my favorite and shows things much better that dir. 'cp' is much more powerful than copy or xcopy.
2014 is going to be a good year. More content, more streamlining. Be a part of history!
Yeah I like being able to SSH from prompt also. Ive got Cygwin/X installed and running now have an Xterm running on windows luvin it still downloading more packages.
Haveing a problem compileing Nmap on Cygwin have you had better luck Aron?
