Taking screen shots on windows media player Wed Jan 11, 2006 6:26:28 PM#14371Perm Link
I noticed that you can't take screen shots using "Print Screen" of videos playing in Windows media player. Another hinderense of using microsoft programs. Any one know of a way to get around this. I couldnt get the screen shot if I played the movie in Irfanview either.
I've had that problem too, when hitting print screen to take screenshots, all I would get is a black box when I pasted it into a paint program.
To solve that, you need to disable hardware acceleration. Right click on the desktop, go to the Settings tab and click Advanced. Then go to the Troubleshoot tab and make sure Hardware acceleration is set to None. Hope that helps
I'm with Aron on this one. MPC is good stuff, winamp is also better than wmp.
Pretty much anything that supports more formats, is less cpu intensive, and isn't just another thinly vieled attempt by microsoft to dominate every single class of application concievable.
