Dell 1907FP First Impressions Mon Apr 17, 2006 7:38:39 PM#16983Perm Link
I picked up one of these things after a posting on Hot-Deals.org. It was a good thing it was pretty cheap because that's what is it. The model it replaced, the 1905FP, is a much better monitor and I'm using it as the primary monitor still and keeping the 1907 as the second monitor.
The panel is brighter, but the colors are washed out. It also looks like a 6-bit panel instead of an 8-bit panel. They did this because of a faster response time. I use my 1905FP for gaming alot and it is great. The 1907FP is a step in the wrong direction.
Also, when you turn the monitor off, the USB ports lose power! The 1905 doesn't do this...
If you want a 19", find a 1905FP. You won't be sorry.
2014 is going to be a good year. More content, more streamlining. Be a part of history!
