What should I do when I visit San Framcisco next month?

The wife and I wanted to check out some kinky sex clubs, check out the victorian homes and buildings, visit Alcatraz, hit some resale shops, boutiques, art galleries, museums, drive around and look around, etc. Any suggestions???

Anywhere cheap alcohol is served and repetitive music is played. Sightseeing's usually a complete and utter waste of time, unless the sight is baroque, remotely noteworthy or something of that ilk.

Or find something to do that's so depressing, it becomes interesting. Like miniature golf.

When San Francisco was mentioned, I was going to make a gay joke...but you're serious, you I will be as well.

I've never been there, so I can't really say for sure. But, I don't really find any fulfillment out of sightseeing, unless you're in another country. I mean, what's there to see in San Francisco? Gay couples?
