The stupid part of this class action lawsuit is that the company (http://www.classcounsel.com/news/nintendo.html) is saying they want Nintendo to fix their error... THEY WILL SEND A FREE STRONGER STRAP in replacement of the older one.
These class action suits do NOTHING to benefit the consumers. They just award the law firm a hefty settlement.
2014 is going to be a good year. More content, more streamlining. Be a part of history!
Either way the Law Firm gets money. We need to change laws around to punish people who bring up bullshit law suits like this more. I'm betting that a large chunk of those Wii profits Sony fanboys cry about will go towards defending thier patents and fighting this BS. These guys are now saying the new strap isn't strong enough. I'm guessing it could be made of a titanium alloy and it still wouldn't be enough for these dumbasses.
All I can say is it is about time, People are being stupid by throwing their Wiimote into their tv's. Well if it is possible to do that, then nintendo might need to get sued.
My friend Dicer-
Death has a thousand different Faces. Evil only has one.
Even some of the next gens can't beat the originals. (N64, snes, nintendo.)
I think it is that a lot of these people's strats are breaking off. I admit that some of themare being stupid when they aren't playing with the straps, but if so many tv and other things have been busted because of the wiimote's strap breaking then they should make better wiimote straps.

They already have improved the straps though. End of the day: Lawyers will be laughing, Nintendo will be dissapointed they had to spend so much defending themselves, and people will be severely dissapointed.
Nintendo never claimed the strap to be unbreakable therefore they won't be liable.
I think it is ridiculous to have a lawsuit over this. But I will say that when I first heard about this remote I seen this coming. I could actually see kids getting so into a game and just swinging there arms everywhere.
You know, the controllers look pretty cool. I haven't been able to try them myself yet, but I can see how if the strap isn't strong enough the controller might wind up in a tv.
