R.I.P. Game Gear #8 Fri May 28, 2004 4:32:33 PM#8682Perm Link
Ahh, brings me to tears to have to replace my Game Gear again. This time I was a little hesitant. You see, I'm bought a Nomad* and I almost considered not getting another Game Gear. Then it hit me: how am I supposed to wow people who ask "What the hell is that?" when I whip it outta my bookbag? How am I supposed to wow people with something that looks suspiciosly like a Wonderswan Color (which, suprisingly, more people have heard of that a Game Gear)? So, now I carry enough old Japanese game systems in my bookbag to school to wow a museam operator. Here is the official list: Neo Geo Pocket Color, SEGA Nomad, 2 Sega Game Gears (with one Game Genie, an original Game Boy and a Game Boy Advance with a backlit screen (cause I can't use an SP), and about 5-8 games apeice.
*Nomad the handheld, not the car. It plays Genesis games you see so of course I wanted one. Imagine, if a handheld that plays (basically) Master System games held me over for 6 years (I didn't get a Game Boy until I was 8), what can a system which literally plays Genesis games do, considering I have at least 150 of 'em?
Michael: Jodie, how's my schedule look for today? Jodie: You've got a conference and dinner party at the Japanese Embassy regarding wildlife protection. Michael: Oh, yeah...sorry, but I'll have to cancel that. I'm heading out to save America!
