Vista DRM to blame for performance in games

This comment really sums it up... I mean, there is much more going on.

The driver actually runs in user mode instead of kernel mode and this really hurts performance. That also means that Windows is now in control of everything.

Can anybody find anything good to say about this worthless piece of crap OS? As far as I can tell, Vista is right up there with ME. And that is really, really saying something. I didn't think anything could ever be that bad!

They will overcome this probably by the end of the year.
