A question about video editing soft

im just wondering if anyone knows of a program that deletes ads and crap from vids(ex. vids streamed from tv that have their logo on the screen at the bottom left/right hand corner)...tried vegas but its not what i like to call "user friendly"

Is there one that supports windows by any chance?(I have yet to purchase my 500Gb HDD & 2GB DDR Ram i waiting to buy those so I can upgrade to Ubunta)
