Homebrew literature

Literature is art, isn't it? Anyway, since the “Chitty Chatty” forum poems thread has been getting quite out of hand, I thought a new thread might be in order.

This is the place to post your creations you would call literature. These might be poems, short stories, carefully crafted political satire, or something completely different. But, there are rules:

* ONLY post content you created yourself.
* PLEASE DO comment and critique works posted here.
* maintain a CIVILIZED tone of discourse.
* you may prefer to LINK TO long texts and post one or two paragraphs only here.
* post that which you created to be worth reading and to be art. Don't just plug any old blog post.
* and, please, keep it clean.

Okay, that's it. I hope to read something below soon.
