She ran, and her lungs yelled to her for air. She knew she couldn't stop. Though, now she didn't have a choice. There was the end of the cliff. She stopped running, giving her lungs the air they despirately needed. All of a sudden, she felt a large push behind her, and she caught herself on the unstable rocks on the edge. She opened her eyes in fear and looked up to the edge, where she was pushed, and her eyes widened as she saw the silloquette of a woman. The woman smiled as she kicked the girl's hand off the edge and the girl went down. The girl sprung up in her bed. Cold sweat was sliding down her forehead to cheek. She slid out of bed as her mother called for her, "Mei, get up!"
She looked down the stairs, "Okay, mom!"
She took off her shirt and put on a clean one that was red with blue blood streaks through it. She slid out of her pants and slid into a plain blue pair. Mei jumped into a pair of sandals and ran out of her house, saying goodbye to her mom as she left. She reached the curve and noticed a girl standing there. "Hey, Nini!"
Nini turned around and waved to Mei. Mei reached her, panting. The girls were sitting on a bench by the bus stop. Mei looked up at the sky. "I had that dream again."
Nini sighed, "Again?"
Mei nodded. She leaned back in the chair when the bus arrived. She hopped up and jumped up the stairs on the bus as Nini followed, sighing. The two girls were discussing what was wrong with Mei and her dream, when Mei flinched when she suddenly saw something: (The bus was sprawled out on the road, Nini was sitting there, dead. Mei was standing next to her, crying, and yelling out, "It isn't fair! Nini!!")
Nini shook Mei to get her back to this world, "What's wrong?"
Mei grabbed Nini by her shoulders, "We have to get off this bus, NOW!!"
Nini knew what that meant, so she followed Mei off. Mei sighed in relief when they were off, and she thought that Nini was out of danger, but she was wrong. All of a sudden a bus came sliding through, out of control. Mei held her breath as the bus headed straight for Nini. She knew it: She was wrong. It wasn't their bus that was going to kill her, it was this one. Mei let out a deep breath, breathed in another and shoved Nini out of the way. As Nini was hitting the floor, the bus was hitting Mei. Nini felt her heart skip a beat and almost stopped when she saw Mei. She ran over to her body that was sprawled all over, her blood was covering her clothes, some parts of the bus, and now Nini's hands as she was trying to find a heartbeat. No luck. Mei was beheaded. Not completely. Mei had time for a goodbye, "Nini...?"
Nini's eyes widened as she looked at Mei, "Yes. It's me!"
Mei smiled as tears swelled up out of her closed eyes, "I'm so glad you're alright..."
Nini broke, "You IDIOT!!! YOU'RE THE ONE WHO NEEDS TO BE ALRIGHT!!! NOt me..." Tears weild up as her voice faded out.
Mei opened her eyes, her peircing blue eyes covered with tears. "Nini...I always...wanted to...make sure that...you remained safe..." she heaved as her voice ran out. Nini knew what was happening. Mei was dying. Nini took out her cellphone, but Mei, "Don't Nini...The doctors can't fix me..."
"Mei...?"
"Stay alright, Nini..."
"Mei...?!"
"...Bye...Ni...n..."
"Mei!!"
Those were Mei's last words to Nini. Nini was never able to live with what happened. She commitied suicide a year later, and Mei's dream was a sign that her death was coming. She just didn't realize that in time...
