The patent pending, INVENTORY-AS-A-SERVICE(TM) POS (IsPOS) includes a
shopper facing 21.5" touch display, a front facing 12 megapixel
ultra-wide lens camera, a barcode scanner with auto-detection, receipt
printer, water resistant speaker, NFC reader, Bluetooth beacons, and
wireless connectivity combined into a sleek hardware frame. At any place
in the store, shoppers can scan an item at an IsPOS and find real-time
stock levels while still in the store. If the size, color, or related
item is not currently in-stock, shoppers can still add it to their cart
and purchase the item, crediting that retailer for the sale, which will
then be delivered directly to their home from one of the participating
retailers, brands, or distributors in the network.
-- Consumer mobile apps for iOS and Android: Shoppers traditionally carry
shopping bags with them in the physical store. Now they will also carry
a "virtual cart" on their phone with the ShopWithMe shopper mobile
applications for iOS and Android. At any IsPOS in the store, a shopper
can add items to their cart, which is immediately synced with their
clouded-based account. Then, using the app, they can carry their virtual
cart from kiosk to kiosk - or even store to store - as they continue to
shop. Shoppers can also scan any item in the store using the ShopWithMe
app and get all available colors and sizes of an item - and whether
those options are in the store or not, shoppers can always buy. A
shopper can combine items collected in the store with items saved to
their virtual cart and then simply checkout in a single transaction. In
addition, with the inclusion of a Rewards system, the more product a
shopper buys, the more points they earn which can be used at
participating ShopWithMe stores.
-- ShopWithMe.com: Connecting the physical store POS to a retailer's
e-commerce system is the easiest and most efficient way to manage their
inventory. All the stores that deploy the in-store ShopWithMe solution
have the option to link their products to a ShopWithMe storefront.
Shoppers can go to ShopWithMe.com and browse by product, brand, store
name, or location. When a shopper buys a product on the website they can
elect for delivery or in-store pickup. ShopWithMe then routes an order
alert to the ShopWithMe POS system of the closest retailer with that
item in stock. Retailers then have 15 minutes to confirm that they have
the product and hit "run and ship", which triggers a shipping label to
be printed and alerts the shipping company to come pick up the shipment.
If they do not confirm the order within 15 minutes, it is routed to the
next closest retailer, brand, or distributor in the network who will
drop ship on behalf of the retailer. "Basically, all of our independent
retailers across the country become mini-distribution centers which
cannot only ship out for themselves but for other retailers in the
network," says Jenkins.
-- Mobile POS (mPOS): Finally, ShopWithMe provides its retailers a Mobile
POS for their associates to carry around the shop floor. Using iPad
minis from Apple as the foundation, ShopWithMe has developed its own
hardware case which has a built-in barcode/qr scanner and credit card
reader. Store associates are continually synced with the IsPOS and can
receive alert notifications if a customer requests a product or needs
help. The lightweight Mobile POS units allow associates to check out
shoppers on the floor or receive notifications when an order has been
placed online or through the ShopWithMe network either for in-store
pickup or to be shipped.

The RICOH MP 2554/MP 3054/MP 3554 - with speeds of up to 25, 30, and 35 pages-per-minute, respectively - offer customers new levels of information mobility, empowering them to fully control their MFP via their smartphone or tablet.
Using the new Ricoh Smart Device Connector app (available for iOS or Android), users can walk up to an MFP and automatically take control via QR code or NFC tag on the MFP's optional Smart Operation Panel. From there, they can easily print, scan, copy or fax using preferences and contacts preconfigured in their smartphone or tablet.
For example:
-- A doctor can place an X-ray on the MFP's glass and have the image scan
straight to their smartphone or tablet.
-- A salesman can print out a presentation directly from his tablet.
-- A fashion designer can scan printed designs to the email accounts

ATLANTA, Nov. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- SunTrust Banks, Inc. (NYSE: STI) is now offering clients and merchants Apple Pay, an easy, secure and private way to conduct payment transactions.
Apple Pay will work in stores with iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch, upon availability. When paying for goods and services within apps, Apple Pay is compatible with iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3. Apple Pay makes shopping as simple as the touch of a finger with Touch ID.

Security and privacy are key elements of Apple Pay. When clients add a SunTrust credit or debit card with Apple Pay, the actual card numbers are not stored on the device nor on Apple servers. Instead, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored in the Secure Element on their device. Each transaction is authorized with a one-time unique dynamic security code, instead of using the security code from the back of the card.
When clients use Apple Pay in a store, restaurant or other merchant, cashiers will no longer see their name, credit card number or security code, helping to reduce the potential for fraud. SunTrust clients have Zero Liability protection when making payments with SunTrust credit or debit cards through Apple Pay. If they use a rewards card, they'll continue to earn with every qualifying purchase made through Apple Pay.
