Beginning in September, users worldwide will be able to download Blackboard Mobile(TM) Learn from the App Store and on Google Play, search for their school, and get access to their courses and organizations for an introductory price of $1.99 per year or a one-time fee of $5.99*. The apps, built natively for each platform, will be available on all iOS® and Android® devices, on all mobile carriers.
Blackboard will also continue to offer an institutional license for Blackboard Mobile Learn that lets institutions subsidize access for all students and faculty on all of their devices, and to extend access to BlackBerry® and webOS® devices for which in-app purchases are not currently common. The institutional license version also enables institutions to integrate Blackboard Mobile Learn with Blackboard Mobile(TM) Central, the company's popular campus life and services application.

Effort will Join e-Books With Courses for Online and Mobile Access
NEW ORLEANS, July 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Blackboard customers will soon have a powerful new option for delivering e-textbooks on their campuses. Today, Blackboard Inc. and Ingram's Vital Source Technologies, Inc. announced a global agreement to give students and faculty one-click access to Vital Source's industry leading e-textbook platform directly within Blackboard Learn(TM), the market's leading learning management (LMS) system. MIAMI, July 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Brightstar Corporation, the world's largest specialized wireless distribution and services company, has reached an agreement to sell its 50 percent ownership interest in Brightstar Europe Limited (BEL) to Tech Data Corporation (Nasdaq: TECD). Under the terms of the agreement, Tech Data will pay Brightstar approximately $165.6 million in cash. Brightstar will use the proceeds from the transaction for investment, expansion, and general corporate purposes. As a result of this transaction, Brightstar Corporation's book value will increase by approximately US$92 million to approximately US$675 million on a pro-forma basis as of March 31, 2012.

CRM Provider TargetX Unveils Enterprise Solution for Higher Education
Building on its success with recruitment CRM, the technology and consulting company has launched advancement and student-retention tools to help an industry that is reeling from financial pressures and charges of inefficiency.
CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., July 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- TargetX, one of the top student-recruiting companies serving higher education, is expanding into the advancement and student-retention areas with two new cloud-based CRM tools.
Similar to its popular recruitment system, which was launched in 2008, TargetX's new CRM modules are built on the proven Force.com platform of Salesforce.com, the worldwide leader in customer relationship management and a pioneer in cloud computing.
