Med Centro Becomes First SuccessEHS Client to Go Live in Puerto Rico
BIRMINGHAM, Ala., June 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- On June 5, 2012, Med Centro became the first SuccessEHS client in Puerto Rico to go live with the SuccessEHS solution, expanding the vendor's existing coverage in 48 states and the Virgin Islands.
The go-live on June 5 took place across all six Med Centro sites, which include a main location, three satellite centers and two mobile units. Med Centro's mobile units are equipped with full medical and dental exam rooms and a vitals machine that allows physicians to view real-time data and video images of patients remotely. Med Centro is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that serves more than 59,000 patients with comprehensive healthcare services, including: pediatrics, family medicine, OB/GYN, internal medicine, dentistry, urgent care, psychiatry, psychology, ambulatory surgery (orthopedics, ophthalmology, ENT, general) and more.
Before implementing the SuccessEHS solution, the health center built a completely new technology infrastructure. According to Med Centro Executive Director Allan Cintron Salichs, the go-live was an outstanding success. "The go-live with SuccessEHS put our brand new, state-of-the-art technology infrastructure to the test," Cintron said. "The outcome was even better than we expected. With the outstanding support from SuccessEHS, the process was very smooth."
Med Centro's more than 200 staff members underwent workflow-based training to learn the software features and workflows specific to their roles. "Rather than learning how to use the solution on a PC and then learning how to use it on an iPad, we cut out that extra step by training them directly on iPads," Cintron said. Staff and physicians underwent training in the FQHC's new training facility, a standalone mobile unit that houses 22 computers and provides staff with a place to concentrate exclusively on learning.

New Report Shows Dramatic Increase in P2P Filesharing and Streaming Media Use Exploding Worldwide
SANTA CLARA, Calif., June 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- New research published today by Palo Alto Networks(TM), the network security company, revealed exponential growth in both streaming media and peer-to-peer filesharing compared with data from previous years. The semi-annual Palo Alto Networks Application Usage and Risk Report provides insights into global, real-world data about application usage based on assessments of raw application traffic from 2,036 organizations worldwide between November 2011 and May 2012.
"As the lines between professional and private life continue to blur, our data shows that employees are increasingly using personal technologies like Netflix and Tumblr in the workplace," said Rene Bonvanie, chief marketing officer at Palo Alto Networks. "The key to this 'new reality' is not to ignore or even vilify the existence of these applications, but to manage their usage with policies that give today's modern workforce the flexibility they desire without impeding on the business. Companies are finding that they can successfully implement network security controls that enable web application usage for employees while still ensuring that quality-of-service standards for business-critical applications are met and security threats are managed."
The report focuses on three primary findings:
-- Streaming video bandwidth consumption increases by more than 300
percent. Since the last version of the report (covering the April to
November 2011 time period), total bandwidth consumed by streaming video
tripled to 13 percent and now represents a more significant
infrastructure challenge to organizations. Furthermore, an average of 34
different streaming media applications were found on 97 percent of
participating organizations' networks. This included an increase in the
use of streaming video services such as YouTube and Netflix in North
America, as well as an increase in the use of P2P video streaming
network PPStream in the Asia-Pacific region.
-- P2P filesharing bandwidth consumption skyrockets. P2P filesharing
bandwidth consumption jumped 700 percent to represent 14 percent of
overall bandwidth observed, growing more than any other application
category. Overall, an average of seven different P2P filesharing
applications were found on 89% of networks worldwide. While not as
bandwidth-intensive as P2P, browser-based filesharing applications were
more common. An average of 13 browser-based filesharing variants were
detected on 89 percent of the participating organizations' networks.
Despite the takedown of popular filesharing site MegaUpload in January
2012, browser-based filesharing held steady at roughly one percent of
overall bandwidth at organizations worldwide.
-- Social networking continues to define itself and newer players see
growth. Tumblr and Pinterest both were notable over the last six-month
period for gaining traction in terms of frequency and volume of use,
despite the continued dominance that both Facebook and Twitter exhibit.
At least one social networking application was detected on 97 percent of
the participating organizations, with an average of 29 different social
networking applications found in each participating organization.
"With over 2,000 organizations worldwide, this is the largest sample size of actual application traffic that we have analyzed since we began our research over four years ago," said Matt Keil, senior research analyst at Palo Alto Networks and author of the report. "Several trends have been consistent over time, while other findings continue to surprise us. For instance, nearly one-third of every dollar spent on bandwidth is supporting either streaming media or filesharing when viewed in terms of budget dollars. These two categories encompass nearly 250 applications, the bulk of which are dedicated to personal use."

Serbia Broadband (SBB) and Eutelsat Communications (Euronext Paris: ETL) today
announced they are expanding their collaboration with the signature of an agreement
between Serbia's most progressive media company and Eutelsat's Skylogic affiliate to
distribute the Tooway(TM) satellite broadband service in six Balkan countries. The new
agreement will notably enable SBB to bundle its Total TV platform on the EUTELSAT 16A
satellite with Tooway(TM) broadband services via the KA-SAT High Throughput Satellite,
raising the bar of their service in the markets they address. SBB is already the leading
broadband service provider in Serbia and has built a subscriber base of over one million
pay-TV homes with Total TV.
SBB plans to offer the highest-quality of satellite broadband solutions to users in
Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Slovenia, FYRO Macedonia, Croatia and Montenegro located in
areas with limited or no access to terrestrial broadband. Services will be available in
single-play, double-play and triple-play options (TV, Internet and VOIP).

Central and Eastern Europe conference in Prague that leading broadcasters from Bosnia and
Herzegovina are strengthening their collaboration with the launch of a new platform called
TEAM:SAT on the EUTELSAT 16A satellite. Serving a growing audience, currently standing at
over 11 million DTH homes, EUTELSAT 16A is the leading position for satellite broadcasting
in Central and Eastern Europe. The TEAM:SAT platform, comprising seven television channels
and two radio stations, will be officially launched on September 1.
By joining forces in a single multiplex, TV Hayat, Radio Televizia BN, FACE and Al
Jazeera Balkans are optimising their resources to reach into TV homes in Bosnia and
Herzegovina as well as expatriate communities across Europe. The channels will be
multiplexed and uplinked to EUTELSAT 16A by TEAM:MEDIA which is installing a teleport in
