East Coast Diversified executed a definitive agreement concluding its acquisition of California based Rogue Paper, a developer of media mobile and branded applications for major media companies. The company will file terms of the definitive agreement in an 8K filing with the SEC.

TeliaSonera make it easier for customers to surf the internet on their
mobile phones while travelling in Europe. TeliaSonera's customers in Sweden
will be first to experience feeling secure when browsing the mobile web in
the EU/EES on low data roaming price, with complete control over their bill.
Over the past few years, people have increased surfing the mobile web
when travelling abroad. Yet many still choose to turn off data roaming on
their mobile phones due to cost concerns. Last May, TeliaSonera reduced the
data traffic rate considerably for subscribers roaming in the Nordic and
Baltic countries, which met the need for mobile surfing when in these
countries. Data traffic rose sharply as a result.

Name.com Works Around the Quandary of Promoting .XXX
DENVER, Oct. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- It's not often that the vice president of an operation asks his employees to make a triple-X video, but that's what they did at Denver-based domain registrar, Name.com. OASIS Connections Program Will Help Expand Workforce Skills

The contribution will enable the national education organization to expand workforce skills training for adults age 50-plus; support national instructor training, e-learning and certification; and equip thousands of adults with the ability to use technology effectively - both in their personal lives and on the job. This expansion includes training in eighteen cities across the country.
The economic downturn and persistently high unemployment rates have made finding a job difficult for millions of Americans, including older adults. The Department of Labor estimates that 4.2 million people age 55 and older were unemployed in August 2011, the highest rate for this age group in six decades.(1) Older job seekers are often at a disadvantage in finding a job due to a lack of basic technology skills. Just 42 percent of adults over 65 uses the Internet, compared to 77 percent for all age groups combined.(2) Employers cite the lack of current workplace skills as a key obstacle for older applicants.

Vuzix Secures License to See-Through Optics Technology from Nokia
ROCHESTER, N.Y., Oct. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Vuzix Corporation (TSX-V: VZX, OTC:BB: VUZI, FMB: V7X) ("Vuzix" or the "Company") announced today that it has entered into a technology license agreement with Nokia to develop and produce see-through waveguide optics for use in near-eye display (NED) systems (head mounted displays and video eyewear) based on Nokia's proprietary see-through (Exit Pupil Expanding) EPE optics technology. The agreement, combining Vuzix and Nokia technology, is expected to accelerate the development and introduction of new NED products to the market.
Under the agreement, Vuzix will perform on-going research and development and is expected to manufacture and bring to market components and products containing the licensed technology. In addition, Vuzix will provide Nokia with access to its products and components which incorporate the licensed technology.
The see-through EPE technology has been developed and prototyped by Nokia over the past decade in various configurations. Vuzix believes that it has the potential to form the basis for sunglass-styled video eyewear, which could be manufactured in high volume and appeal to mass consumer markets.

Smartphones with Android operating system can now be used to measure the
ambient radioactive radiation. SpitConsult's app "Radioactivity-Meter" uses
the noise induced by the radioactive radiation in the smartphone's camera
chip, to detect and quantify the radioactivity.
In light of the catastrophe of Fukushima, SpitConsult developed this app
to give people a cheap tool to estimate the ambient radioactivity. "Many
people want to know, if they are, or could be contaminated by radioactive
radiation, but not all can purchase a Geiger counter," said Hans Schorn,
director of SpitConsult. "Let's develop an usable alternative."
The app uses the fact, that the camera chip of a smartphone is
influenced by several kinds of noise, e.g., thermal noise etc. The
radioactive radiation (primarily gamma radiation, and to a certain extent
beta radiation) changes the internal ratio and amount of noise.
"Radioactivity-Meter" succeeds in analyzing these changes for the camera
image and calculates the radiation causing these changes.
Since camera chips differ in sensitivity, "Radioactivity-Meter" must be
calibrated for each smartphone once, then the accuracy of measurement should
suffer to distinguish the intensity of radioactivity e.g., on ground and in
an aircraft in 10000 meter altitude.
