Cellcom Israel Announces Netvision Merger Transaction Completed
NETANYA, Israel, August 31, 2011/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
Cellcom Israel Ltd. (NYSE: CEL) (the "Company") announced today that
following previous reports regarding the merger transaction between the
Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company and Netvision, on August
31, 2011 the merger transaction was completed. The merger consideration in
the total amount of NIS 1,570,409,980 (approximately NIS 49.68 per one
Netvision share; or approximately $13.91 per one Netvision share based on
NIS/$ exchange ratio of NIS 3.5720 per one $ as of August 30, 2011) was
transferred by the Company for the benefit of the shareholders of Netvision
as of August 31, 2011. The merger consideration includes an interest at an
effective rate of five percent (5%) per year, calculated based on actual
days elapsed from April 1, 2011 and until the completion of the transaction,
in accordance with the terms of the merger agreement. Effective as of August
31, 2011 all the outstanding shares of Netvision were transferred to the
Company and Netvision became a private company wholly owned by the Company.

AT&T to Bring 5,000 Call Center Jobs Back to U.S. Following T-Mobile Merger Closing
Commits Merger Will Not Result in Job Losses for Existing U.S. Wireless Call Center Employees of T-Mobile and AT&T

DALLAS, Aug. 30, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) today committed that after closing its proposed merger with T-Mobile USA, it will bring back 5,000 wireless call center jobs to the United States that today are outsourced to other countries.
Today's commitment results from AT&T developing detailed analysis focused specifically on identifying opportunities with the T-Mobile merger to bring good-paying wireless call center jobs back to the United States.
In addition to bringing jobs back, AT&T committed that the merger will not result in any job losses for U.S.-based wireless call center employees of T-Mobile USA or AT&T, who are on the payroll when the merger closes.
The 5,000 new wireless call center jobs at AT&T will offer among the nation's most highly competitive wages and benefits. AT&T, which has not yet determined where in the U.S. the new jobs will be located, is the nation's largest employer of full-time union employees and the only unionized major U.S. wireless carrier.

He pointed out that the Gratitude Tour also features machines containing healthy snacks, in addition to machines that can "talk to each other" using high-tech telemetry to bundle multiple purchases from multiple machines.

The service supports several of the information sharing requirements for Meaningful Use, such as the ability to provide a summary of care records for patients referred or transitioned to another provider.

As an electronic and web-based system, DSM aims to replace the widespread use of fax machines for referrals and transmission of patient data between organizations.

Raritan Introduces First-of-its-Kind Intelligent Asset Tags and Sensors to Keep Track of Data Center Servers and Supporting IT Infrastructure

SOMERSET, N.J., Aug. 30, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Raritan today announced the general availability of the first intelligent Asset Management Tag and Sensor solution for improving data center asset management by providing accurate, real-time information on all IT assets and their locations.
With a large number of IT devices and a great variety of equipment, data center moves, adds, and changes are challenging. Accurate records on where servers are located in racks and the power chain associated with servers are not always available. In fact, in larger data centers up to 25 percent of IT assets can go missing because of difficulty tracking IT assets. This translates into underutilized rack space and capacity, contributes to ghost servers, as well as wasted time locating equipment.
To more efficiently manage IT assets, Raritan developed an easy way to add more intelligence and infrastructure management capabilities to data center racks. Raritan's new intelligent Asset Management Tag (AMT), the size of a small mailing label, adheres to a server and connects to an Asset Management Sensor (AMS) attached to a rack rail. The solution tells operators the unique ID of the server and exactly where that server is located in the data center, down to the 1U level in a rack. The solution also indicates any moves or changes. If the server is moved to a new location in the same rack or to a different rack, its new location is automatically recognized when the tag is connected to the sensor at the new location.
Raritan's new asset management solution also provides visual guidance to help with equipment adds, moves, changes, reconfigurations or repairs. The sensor has RGB LED lights at each one rack unit (1U) to indicate what action should be taken. For example, a green light might indicate the available location for a server installation. This location could have been chosen by asset management software, such as Raritan's dcTrack® DCIM -- which takes into account not only open space in a rack, but also sufficient electrical power, cooling and network connections. An installer can quickly find the correct space by looking for color-coded indication lights among rows of racks. Different colors can be used for other change-management processes. For example, a red blinking LED could be used to indicate a server maintenance request.

Often this is done ad hoc, using Excel® spreadsheets and Visio® diagrams, and becomes very labor intensive. How Raritan's Intelligent Asset Management Solution Works
Raritan Asset Management Tags (AMT) adhere to servers and other IT devices. Each tag contains a unique ID chip and scannable ID barcode. Associated with the unique ID is the IT device's asset record -- where a variety of information can be stored, including serial number, repair records, maintenance agreement and lease terms. Drive Back to School Safely With New Mobile App Designed to Curb Texting Behind the Wheel
Free for Customers, AT&T DriveMode App Extends Company's Commitment to Anti-Texting-While-Driving Education
DALLAS, Aug. 30, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- New drivers are getting behind the wheel to head back to school, and because the average teen sends and receives five times more text messages a day than a typical adult(1), AT&T* today announced a simple - and free - way to lessen the temptation to text while driving.
The company launched its AT&T DriveMode mobile application (http://www.att.com/drivemode), which, when downloaded and activated, automatically sends a customizable reply to incoming texts - notifying the sender that the user is driving and unable to respond. The auto-response is similar to an "out-of-office" email alert.
AT&T's anti-texting-while-driving mobile solution is part of the company's broader "It Can Wait" campaign that aims to stigmatize texting while driving. Starting today, the app is available for free through the AT&T AppCenter and BlackBerry App World(TM) stores, with more supporting operating systems planned in the coming months.**
"AT&T's new mobile application has the potential to prevent injuries and save lives by changing the behavior of a generation," said Sandra Spavone, executive director, National Organizations for Youth Safety. "This proactive and innovative move by AT&T showcases their commitment to social responsibility to prevent crashes resulting from texting and driving before they happen. Making the choice to use this product could be one of the most important decisions drivers make."
Once downloaded, customers can manually enable the app prior to driving, activating the text auto-reply feature. The app also allows disabling of emails, incoming and outgoing calls and Web browsing. When the app is turned off, user can view the calls, messages and emails as they normally would.
"As a leading service provider, we want to educate and equip wireless customers with the tools they need to stay safe on the road," said Charlene Lake, chief sustainability officer and senior vice president of AT&T Public Affairs. "That's why we're proud to introduce AT&T DriveMode as the next wave of our 'It Can Wait' campaign. AT&T DriveMode also offers additional safety and convenience features, including:
-- The "Allow List" lets users select up to five contact numbers - such as
roadside assistance and family members - to send and receive calls while
the app is running.
-- 911 is an automatically approved number and easily dialable from the
home screen.
-- Music and Navigation settings allow one music and one navigation app to
run while AT&T DriveMode is enabled.
By downloading the app, customers are also automatically taking AT&T's "Txtng & Drivng...It Can Wait" pledge, joining more than 63,000 others who have made the commitment to not text while driving.
The AT&T DriveMode app stemmed from an idea that was originally submitted to The Innovation Pipeline (TIP), AT&T's unique online crowd-sourcing tool that harnesses the creative talent of AT&T employees. Participants submit their ideas through an online platform, get feedback from others and secure funding for development of the program. AT&T DriveMode was voted one of the top ideas and was subsequently developed into today's application.
In May, AT&T announced a four-year series of contributions totaling $1 million to continue its education on the importance of not texting behind the wheel. The National Organizations for Youth Safety (NOYS) - a collaborative network of national associations and federal agencies that focus on youth safety and health - was the first recipient of a $95,000 contribution.
As part of that contribution, AT&T and NOYS will assemble and educate a group of 40 student ambassadors on the dangers of texting and driving. This October, they will gather at the first-ever national texting-while-driving prevention youth summit in Washington, D.C. and will host similar summits within their schools and hometowns throughout the school year.
Since launching the "It Can Wait" campaign, AT&T has revised its wireless and motor vehicle policies to prohibit texting and driving; incorporated a don't-text-and-drive message on the protective clings for devices sold in AT&T retail stores; integrated campaign messaging in AT&T catalogs, signage, bills, emails and newsletters and at AT&T-sponsored events; designed a pledge for its Facebook and employee pages; and more.
In late 2010, AT&T introduced a 10-minute documentary "The Last Text" - which features real stories of individuals whose lives have been drastically altered by texting and driving. It has garnered nearly 2.5 million views on YouTube, and has been screened in thousands of schools and drivers' education classes, and among state police agencies, public health organizations, military personnel, government and safety organizations, and many more.
