The modern Enovix platform frees lithium-ion battery design, materials, production, and performance from the constraints of outdated, conventional battery construction. Patented 3D cell architecture improves spatial efficiency to increase energy density, allows for a 100% silicon anode and improves safety by reducing the danger from thermal runaway. Inspur and Intel Announce KNL User Migration Program

During the event, Inspur and Intel announced a user migration program named "KEEP" (Knights Landing Evaluation and Escalation Program) for the Intel® Xeon Phi(TM) processor (formerly codenamed Knights Landing) that was officially unveiled by Intel during the conference. Inspur also unveiled some real application performance results based on the Intel® Xeon Phi(TM) processor: Gridding from SKA (Square Kilometers Array telescope), GMRES, a large-scale linear equation solver and finally released the open source Caffe-MPI for Intel® Xeon Phi(TM) processor, a deep learning parallel computing framework.
The results show that Gridding process speed (million grid points per second) get 14,540 on a single node Intel® Xeon Phi(TM) processor server with contrast with 2383 on two socket E5 Xeon server. For GMRES with 28 million order linear equation set, the performance on a single Intel® Xeon Phi(TM) processor is 4.42x faster than a two socket E5 Xeon server.

EMC Corporation (NYSE: EMC) today announced RackHD(TM) Machine Driver, a hardware-agnostic solution for open deployment of Docker solutions directly on bare metal. The RackHD Machine Driver is an integration with Docker Machine to manage the lifecycle of physical servers for the Docker Engine and future Docker solutions. This new project enables users to easily embrace Docker containers on bare-metal servers and simplify the deployment of software infrastructure by combining the power of a turnkey-supported container platform with RackHD hardware management and orchestration. RackHD Machine Driver increases efficiency by using the RackHD hardware management and orchestration capabilities to drive automation for compatible hardware through the RackHD open APIs.
