omg kittens

I got two kittens today, one male, one female.




two pics of the male. His name is "Shao Kahn".

The female looks pretty much the same, only she's grey instead of striped and all that.

Interesting name for a kitten, my friend has a dog named Anomie and I thought that was pretty interesting, until I heard the band Anomie.

Interestingly enough, there is a reasoning behind the name "Shao Kahn". My last name, as it so happens, is "Kahn". So me and my sister had talked a few times over the past, I don't know, year, where she'd been actively pursuing a kitten, and I didn't really care (but wanted one anyway), and I don't know where this sentence is going anymore.

Oh yeah.

We've talked about names for cats, and that seemed to be the best. My second favorite is "Thelonious Funk". That one was my idea.

So, I still don't know what to call the female, but here's a pic of them both (with my mom's hand in it, pointing to something or other):

I have to admit that they do look cute. I'm a dog person, but kittens are so cute!

I'm more of a cat person. I think it's pretty cool how cats make you work to gain their affection.

My kitten isn't a kitten anymore... Oh poo. Now I want another kitten. But I've been working on begging for a dog for some two years now... My best friend's dog just had puppies. But unfortunantly they are of the mix one quarter doxin and three quarters chiwawa... Ug-lay!
