Of course, if you think about it, they both will probably suck, but that's being overly optimistic.

When I think Doom movie I think oh you're going to watch someone play the game...I can't really picture it a movie. It looks like it's based on the newer Doom. I thought it would be great to have all the graphics as cheesy as the original and in a way make it one of those horror comedies.

haha...this is gunna be interesting. I'm gunna give Doom the botd for now, but halo... i think it will suck, but due to the fanboys (don't think there are many fangirls of the game) the hype will make it the greatest movie ever.

Yeah, the Doom movie's story and characters might suck, but hopefully, the action and demons will kick ass, which is the only reason I'm gonna check it out. The hell with the story; it's Doom.

I agree. Rundown was great and The Rock is an excellent action hero. He's got the moves, the look, and great presence...plus he's not half bad as an actor. He's my first pick for an "Arnold" replacement.

He was pretty godo in Walking Tall too....

We need another Good Action Hero Actor anyway and The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) fits the bill in my book. And to top it off he doesn't have some cheesy Austrian accent none of us can understand half the time.

DOOM had some really cool action scenes with zombies getting blown apart, monsters shredding humans, guts and blood flying all over, very cool. The story wasn't much, but it's doom, right? Recommended for diehard action/gore/zombie/horror fans who don't mind weak stories.

Chicken Chop you couldnt have explained it better.

I saw DOom on first day cause i knew that it wouldnt have much of a story but lots of great action.

The first person mode didnt come until the end of the movie, and it was great, especially when he laid the proximity mine down.

Halo however is gonna really suck or be really amazing, as i confess i am quite the Halo addict. When i first heard the news about the movie i was excited and scared. However i wa also thinking of something else. The Mastercheif never shows his face in the game. In the books they describe it but they dont show it. For the movie i believe that they should do what they did with Darth Vader in Star Wars. Have a model be the Mastercheif for visuals, and have the guy who did the Mastercheifs voice in the game do his voice in the movie. I would like it if the movie was based on the first book, but it is on the first game, which is fine if they do it right.

I have really really high hopes for this movie and i am praying that it is a great flick

Ya know what sucks? They're gonna come out with a Ringworld movie in 2008 and everyone will say "OMGZ it's such a Halo rip-off, just like how lord of the rings ripped off Harry Potter! LOL!".
