Windows ME does in fact, suck.

My parents, brother and sister went to some "Christian Fun Day" or some other such crap at one of the local churches, and they brought back church grade computers for me to fix. Apparently they broke during a power surge. I tried working on one, and I can't stand it. And that one was Windows 98. The ME computer is even worse.

In reality, it doesn't pay to fix older computer anymore...

I'm not even getting paid to do this. I assume I get brownie points with god for fixing the good father's child porn archives; but I'm an atheist, which makes the fact that they are the best computers they own all the more entertaining to me. My mom basically forced this on me.

it's true that it doesn't pay, but it's fun. I like to be able to get all the old parts working. Win ME sure sucks, I like 2K much better, but 2K is so slow booting up. XP is probably the best OS so far, but the Activation is just sucks.

I agree, it is fun. But on ME, the problems are so deep laced into the very OS that it is frustrating. I love 2K more than any other Windows OS. Had Microsoft not announced the end of support for it soon I would use it more instead of XP.

Yeah, in IT, we can't use Win2K anymore because of the EOL support.

besides the fact that you are atheist. Even if you did believe in a "god", I doubt very much he would care about anyone fixing a computer?
