Starcraft 2 Wishes

What do you want or not want to see in Starcraft 2?

My wants:

More units and removal of the "Cannot create more units" thing.
Another playable race (Xel'Naga) and better balancing between each race.
The same unit structures and such as the first one
3D environments and game, but so the camera can zoom out to see much more of the action unlike Warcraft 3 which is zoomed in too much
New units (just a few, nothing major).
Better defensive structures.

Don't Want:

Heros.
Creeps.
Anything that Warcraft 3 added that wasn't in Warcraft 2...
Upkeep, this is the worst addition.
Low unit counts.
RPGish.

Starcraft is really about massing an army. I want to see the zergling rape in full force in Starcraft 2. I hope we get to see it soon.

Same Races, Just More Types
No 3D. I know thats stupid but its just the way I think starcraft should be

being a huge starcraft i mean HUGE starcraft fan if this isn't done right IF it is done then i will be PISSED
i was addicted to the first one and the expansion until my comp broke and so did the program and i couldn't find my key, this weekend im buying a battle chest =] Star Craft is the first real addicting game i ever played online and i love it and can't ever get enough, its so simple its amazing i really hope they don't screw it up

There is a reason for 3D... camera angles and zoom.

Imagine actually being able to zoom out to see more of the action.

We really need to be able to command more units at the same time.

I really hope they don't do a "World of Starcraft" game, but with World of Warcraft subscripitons still rising and approaching 7 million you could see why they might want to. Then again, they aleady have over 50% of the MMORPG market share, would they really want to lay out all then money to setup another one just to compete with themselves? I think they would be best off making kick ass RTS games and just continue to add content and upgrade to WoW.

Never really though about just how much money they are bringing in. Subscribiton are $13-$15 / month depending on what plan you use. Averaging together you get about $14 per month per subscriber X 7,000,000 = $98,000,000ish last month, not including new game box sales.
That is just sick; And to top that off they have an expansion coming out toward the end of the year that will likely having subscribers paying another $40 or more.

EDIT:
Just saw this scary news item from June... sounds like they are planning World of Starcraft, World of Diablo, etc.
Hopefully if true this doesn't mean ther will be no Starcraft 2 RTS

I found a responce from Blizzard, they say they have NO PLANS to make another MMORPG and will not become VU's MMORPG bitch... Apparantly this all started from a confusing Powerpoint presentation.

Thank you for the news... sadly, I believe that Blizzard will be doing things that they normally wouldn't be doing.

Starcraft 2 should have came out a long time ago.

There was another previous gamespot article, on the same subject before Blizzard made that official announcement quoting Blizzard Forum moderators which sounds like BLizzard is still standing up for themselves. I would also assume that they never imagined the amount of work they would continue to have to put into WoW which has likely delayed other projects, but I do agree Startcraft 2 is LONG LONG overdue.

I don't think that there will ever be a true SC2, which is shame. I don't know when Ghost is coming out, but I might look at it.
I guess we'll see what happens, but one can only cross their fingers and hope.

The only thing I know of, is that video is PROBABLY a Mod of Warcraft 3. There's a modding group out there (Forgot their names... the website MIGHT be http://www.snowflake.com or something) who made a FULL SC mod of Warcraft 3; meaning you need both games installed to play. However, it's a true-3D rendition of SC, which might be awesome.

SC probably won't get a World of Starcraft, only because of their prospects with Starcraft Ghost, etc, which hasn't really been canned, just sidelined.

And, WoW isn't that bad... It's just another MMO... Which I kind of like, haha.

Yeah, all a WoS game would do is take away from WoW, unsecessfuly. ppl who play WoW wont switch that easily and blizz knows they would just be wasting time and money on another MMO, but a nasty RTS, that may be where its at
