Movies that you've seen this year, last year, whenever that no one else has, but were very good.
My pick would go to;
Lost in Translation.
Obviously a lot of adults have watched this movie, but not enough teens. This movie was definately one of the best that came out this year. Aside from Return of the King obviously. You can't really compare the two as they are completely different in nature. Ah, anyways, this movie is definately worth going to see at the big screen. And most definately worth buying on DVD. I will, once it comes out.
Donnie Darko.
I champion this movie a lot. It's good. It shows you you don't need an all star cast, and an unlimited budget to make a great movie. A little hazy with the point, but if you buy the DVD and watch it with the commentary, and watch the deleted scenes there's a lot that comes to light. Very impressive. I enjoyed it a lot.
Battle Royale.
One of the best movies of the nineties. If not the best. You could probably purchase an all region's version for $10 on eBay, and I say, DO IT. Especially for you Anime nuts. There's a manga called "Battle Royale", and I believe it is based on the movie, as I have yet to read any. Worth every penny you'll spend on it.
I would probaly pick the Patriot with Mel Gibson many people probaly watched the first hour thought it was boring and turned it off but truly the best part was the end. Also reservoir dogs was a good movie or so I've heard.
