Final Fantasy XI

Didn't see a thread on this yet. Coming out October 31, I got it preordered at Gamestop. I liked the Demo that came with Dragon Quest VIII. My only fear is that the characters seem kind of flat and unmemorable. I'm going to cross my fingers and hope Square Enix can make it as amazing as I hope it will be.

I personally am split on the new battle system. It is kind of fun, but it also seems a little overcomplecated and hectic. Then again, I haven't played the demo in a couple of months. What do you all think?

I think this thread is about FFXII, since FFXI is an MMORPG and has been out for so long that Moses was in the Beta.

I was wondering if anyone has played this game yet. I got beat to start the thread. This game looks awesome. I've only played two of the FF games (3 SNES and 7 PS). I was really considering buying this one. I'm really curious about play hours though. I like really like long games. I was hoping this one would be as long as 3 or 7. Anyone play it yet?
