missing dollar

ok 3 traveling salesman each had $10 dollars a between them... (3x10=30) they need a room for the night so they decied to put there money togather and get a room togather they go up to the front desk were the manger was and ask for one room and give the manger the $30 dollars.. and the manger tells the bellhop to show them to there room when the bellhop returned from showing them to there room the manger relizes the room was only $25 dollars so he give the bellhop $5 dollars (in ones) to give back to the three salesmen. well as the bellhop is walking down the hallway he relizes how the fuck am i going to splet $5 dollars between 3 people so he pockets $2 of them and gives them all a dollar back. witch means they payed $9 each (9x3=27) add the $2 dollars from the bellhop it = $29 weres the last dollar?

Spoiler: They didn't pay $9 each.

They paid 28/3 = 9.33 each.

They all had $10 which they gave in to form $30. The manager was the one that broke the remaining money into singles. The room was only 25/3 each = 8.33. They gave the bellhop a tip of 66 cents each.
