I don't see these types of movies in theatres, I only go to the theatres for big action movies, but I will definitely be checking this out when it comes out on DVD.

I thought this movie came out just last year but it turns out it is a different movie called "The Zodiac" based on the same events.
I watched both trailers and I have to say that I was more intrigued to watch the previously made movie. I'll probably rent it if it's out already.

It is based on a true story and they never caught the guy, that's why I think this was an interesting story to pick for film because there isn't really an end

Have you all seen the previews for this movie? It looks like a great thriller, and it stars Jake Gyllenthal and Robert Downey, Jr., among others. It is all about the hunt for the Zodiac killer. I am assuming it is based on actual events. Look like a good one!

I don't think I'll ever watch another movie with that Cowboy faggot again...oooh..sorry, is that politically incorrect? Too bad... A duck is a duck.
Same with Heath Ledger. It will be a cold day before I watch another movie starring him again. Ever heard of jumping the Shark?

The movie Zodiac is based on a book which is able the lives of the people who're trying to catch the killer. Since it's not actually about the killer, they don't need to catch him or anything.
Of course, they did make a Lacy/Scott Peterson story before that trial even ended, but that was made for TV

So it wasn't based on a real event, only a story?

It's based on a story which was based on real events. For example, if a movie is about a killer you can make it follow the killer and then you'd have a movie about the killer. However, if you chose to make it about the life of the cop chasing the killer, you'd have a movie that's influenced by the killer. So you're following the pursuit, not the killer and thus if the cop dies or something, the story ends - the killer doesn't have to be caught, the killer's only purpose in the movie is to affect the cops life...does that make any sense?

Ah, I was proven wrong. While I personally will not spend my own money to go see movies, I have no problem if my friends want to take me.
So I am going to see Zodiac tonight with some friends.
