So the worst part of a concert is... Wed Feb 4, 2004 7:55:56 PM#4425Perm Link
Yeayea. The gnarly tangles again.
And the severe stiffness the day after.
But with that, Opeth, Moonspell and Devil Driver was last night.
ph34r my sk!11z.
...
But seriously. One of the best shows I've ever seen. Opeth was flawless live. And they played THE DRAPERY FUCKING FALLS! HELL YES! AND THE FUCKING MOOR! Holy shit, I must have wet my pants like, 9 times during their set. We kept yelling for an encore, and they came back out and played DEMON OF THE FALL! Ahhh. We went insane to that song. Much mosh. Much much mosh.
You can tell I'm hurting because I didn't get home til 3 AM last night and it hurts to type. Hence the lack of band examination. But ask any questions you would like.
Oh. New shirt at the tour too.
Moonspell.
I already had an Opeth one.
It's so gr1m. My pansy friends got these Moonspell shirts with colour... and album art... and fairy-lookin' designs on the back.
I'm so fucking gr1m, I bought the black and white one with the huge skull that merely said "MOONSPELL" under it. With the phrase "I AM ONE OF THEM" centered on the back.
You're fourteen though, right?
You wouldn't be able to get into most shows anyway.
At least not with out I.D.
But the shows you would go to would be full of men in their 20's+ who have a lot of time to practice moshing at home.
A lot.
I'm so sore from being in the pits during Opeth and Moonspell.
It was worth it though. Muchly.
Is he going to pay?
I only ask because that show will easily run him $100, assuming you both get a T-Shirt.
Oh, and "Thirteenth Step" pwns your ass.
It was much more focused and well written than their last album, so don't write A Perfect Circle just yet.
And Tool... come on. You know Tool rocks just because of Opiate and AEnima alone. Throw Undertow into the mix and you've got a three-some to the ears right there.
Grr.....sadly enough, the only concert I've been to is Weird Al Yankovic.
But there are going to be like, 18 cover bands doing stuff by AC/DC and Guns N' Roses coming on like, the 19th. And it's a free concert, so I'm going to try to go, albeit it is a school day.
Now that's not nice. There are girls at school. With outfits that aren't really outfits.
They're stupid. Mean. Ignorant. And probably sluts. But good GOD.
You were in New Hampshire? Nyu? I was there!!! Moshin' an shit! Damn did my ass hurt like hell that night...

Saw Namelessnumberheadman last night.
There were 23 people at the show.
12 were there for $2 margarita night. 4 were band members. 3 were members of the record label the band is on. The rest were fans.
They played in a room with a max. occupancy of 46.
Am I the only one answering the main question?
I suppose so...
The worst part of a concert is...when floating people kick you in your head and back while wearing cleats (that really did hurt too) and when the band you thought you love really sucks (never happened to me but that would really suck)
The topic really wasn't created to be a question, just a discussion about concerts. It was a carry-over thread from Version 2.
Anyways, it does suck when a band is not good at all live.
It sucks when it costs more than $20 to see a band.
I would not pay that much just to get in.
I could go see four shows for that price.
Well, it wasn't a completed sentence..."So, the worst part of a concert is..." leads you on to finnish the sentence with your own veiws. Also, it's sort of an implied question of "What is the worst part of a concert?" But, whatever...
I'd rather spend a money on a really good band then a lousy 5 or 8 bucks on a shitty garage band that sounds like they don't know what they're doing...if I wanted to listen to that, I'd go down the street. Sure there are a few good bands that are just starting out, but I still have complaints about them. That's just around here, though...they practically all sound the same now-a-days and it's really boring. I just spent 26 dollars on Cheap Trick for June 6th...I'll say that is a good amount to get to see them! If there was a crappy new band playing around that same amount...ha, I wouldn't have to think twice...that'd definately be a Hell NO! If they suck, they don't get my money.
It was a carry over thread. The first thread had a completed the sentence as the first few paragraphs were about how it sucks to get gnarly tangles in your hair. Hence when I said "Yeayea, the gnarly tangles again". And the original purpose of the first thread was concert discussion... Like I said, it was just a misunderstanding from Version 2 to Version 3.
Er, not only garage bands play for less than $20...
You can see a good show for $2 these days, especially if you live in a college town.
Mum just came through and charged 8 bucks.
Bear Vs Shark is gonna be playing for $2.
Namelessnumberheadman played a free show and is playing at a local bar here again for 3 bucks.
Minus The Bear just came through for $5.
The Blood Brothers are gonna own over here for $8.
Tortoise and Beans are gonna be playing for $11.
Even Opeth came for $15.
The "underground" or "indie" world is actually pretty diverse in it's sounds today, you just have to know where to look.
They just had a "Battle of the Bands" at my school. I was going to go solely because my friend was the MC, but then decided against it. Apparently all of the bands save for maybe two really, really sucked. Which is funny because one of the bands that sucked the most had their vocalist saying for three weeks how awesome he was going to be and how 'metal' he was and how everyone else sucks.
