you mean would never have begun . The reason there are no built up hatreds toward the Romans for killing Christ is because after many years after Jesus' death Rome changed. After time, the spreading of Christianity spread so much that even Rome changed its views in the persecutions of Christians and eventually made Christianity the State Religion of the empire. So, in time Rome did acknowledge Jesus but the Jews never did, so naturally there was some kind of built up of blame towards Jews.

I never did get why there was talk of the movie being anti-semetic. Me and my Jewish girlfriend went to see it and she found nothing wrong with it. If anything it "blamed" the Romans for the death of Jesus.
