The software allows users to create streams of their favourite content, much like
social start-up Pinterest, although these streams can be accessed directly by friends
without the use of web browsers. The software creates a direct link between participating
devices, allowing users to access content on demand and send personal, interactive
messages to friends and followers.
The new version brings real-time action notifications and alerts, giving followers
up-to-date information on the personal or business activities of those in their network.
According to CEO Rocky Wright, the software lets you "access anyone and any activity
within your social or business sites, without checking email or accessing individual
websites."
The device facilitates a secure 3G mobile connection to ViaSat's worldwide mobile
network, giving soldiers and vehicles in the field the ability to connect and stream
high-quality video, receive real-time updates and communicate instantly with mission
control. Users will also benefit from the ability to make secure and encrypted phone calls
using the device, which is said to be extremely lightweight and durable in order to
withstand the harshest combat conditions. Speaking after the launch, ViaSat Vice President
Larry Taylor added that the new system is "unique: packaging and performance that is ready
to go on a worldwide broadband network."
The application, which has also been named as one of the top 100 Android apps of 2012,
is ideal for security-conscious mobile users, as it is able to detect and destroy mobile
viruses whilst also acting as a firewall against any new threats. The innovative app made
it into the top 100, before a delegation of app experts awarded it a top 20 place in front
of a 5,000-strong audience. CPO Gavin Kim was delighted with the award, stating that the
company is "honoured" to be chosen.

Integrates IT Energy Management with Building Management Systems for Smart Buildings
SEATTLE, Oct. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Verdiem, a leader in IT energy management software, today introduced Verdiem VBOX, the first IT energy management appliance, in conjunction with the release of Verdiem Surveyor Fall Edition 2012. VBOX is a fully integrated software and hardware solution for an easy, quick and affordable deployment.
With the Fall Edition, Verdiem is also releasing Connect for Smart Buildings, a solution that integrates IT energy management with building management systems (BMS). Connect for Smart Buildings provides facilities and energy managers with visibility and control across facility equipment (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting, security, etc.) and IT devices for comprehensive energy management to significantly reduce energy waste.
In addition, Verdiem expands its leading energy management analytics with new role-based dashboards that deliver key summary information on energy savings as well as the ability to drill down to uncover more detailed insights in order to optimize energy savings.
"Energy is an expensive and essential resource. The fact that demand is rising and supply is constrained is driving interest in energy management technologies," said Andrew Donoghue, eco-efficient IT analyst at 451 Research. "Verdiem is well placed to benefit from this trend by offering solutions that provide a holistic view of enterprise IT energy consumption. Companies can make substantial reductions in energy use and cost across both IT and facilities by using the kind of monitoring and control software developed by suppliers such as Verdiem."
"Verdiem has spent more than 10 years innovating in the world of IT energy management," said John Scumniotales, president and CEO of Verdiem. "We have deep IT experience and our solution is proven for both large distributed enterprises and small single location organizations. Due to its easy deployment and fast time to realize savings, the new VBOX reflects the growing demand for energy efficiency solutions in the mid-market, particularly in the education, government, and non-profit hospital sectors, as these organizations are under significant budget pressure and can save jobs by cutting energy waste."
VBOX ACCELERATES TIME TO VALUE
For many mid-market organizations with limited IT resources, it can take months to get a server purchased or a virtual machine provisioned to support a new software solution. Within days, a Verdiem VBOX can be purchased and deployed. VBOX is a turnkey IT energy management appliance that accelerates Verdiem's industry leading time-to-value. Based on a standard 1u server, VBOX is pre-packaged and configured with all necessary components including the Verdiem Surveyor Fall Edition. With the solution, organizations benefit from up to 60% savings in IT energy costs for PCs, Macs, IP phones, switches/routers, and other Power-over-Ethernet devices. Customers typically achieve ROI in 6-12 months, and less if utility rebates are available. In addition, IT can more securely and reliably manage the PC fleet with a 90%+ success rate in waking-up PCs for software updates and patch management with network-friendly Wake-on-WAN technology.
CONNECT FOR SMART BUILDINGS BRIDGES FACILITIES AND IT
Traditional divisions of labor between facilities and IT are impediments to effective energy management. In today's world, where buildings include Ethernet-ready devices connected directly to corporate networks and energy requirements are on the rise, the need for a convergence between IT and facilities energy management is becoming ever more critical. The new network-ready smart building is opening up opportunities for integration and innovation for enterprise-wide energy management that provides visibility and control across facilities and IT devices.
Verdiem's Connect for Smart Buildings integrates building management systems with Surveyor Fall Edition via a web service application-programming interface (API). Facilities and energy managers have visibility and control over the electrical power of the entire enterprise inclusive of the distributed IT device plug load. In addition, Connect for Smart Buildings enables facilities and IT to collaborate on smart building and demand shedding scenarios, allowing the BMS to change policies and effect near real-time changes to IT device power consumption. For example, an aggressive energy saving policy could be applied to lower IT's energy draw in order to meet other energy demands on campus or across the smart grid.
SHINE THE LIGHT ON ENERGY WASTE
With the Fall Edition, Verdiem extends its leadership in energy management analytics with Verdiem Dashboards. The role-based dashboards provide actionable information to the stakeholders in IT energy management including executives, facility/energy managers, sustainability officers, and IT professionals. The Summary Dashboard delivers an at-a-glance view into the organization's total energy savings and corresponding reductions in energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
For IT and energy managers, the Details Dashboard provides a breakdown of energy savings and consumption by attributes such as location, group, device type, and power saving policy. For deeper insights, they can leverage Verdiem Analytics - the built-in business intelligence reporting engine. Enhancements in Verdiem Analytics include the ability to drill down to an individual device's energy profile and to report its energy consumption in 15 minute increments, further extending Verdiem's leading measurement accuracy. With these powerful analytics capabilities, energy managers can uncover areas of waste to be converted into additional savings through better optimized power policies.
During deployment and ongoing operations, IT can utilize the Status Dashboard for visibility at the device-level to track progress and identify any health issues such as devices not reporting energy information. IT can also flag devices that are underutilized and therefore possible candidates for elimination, consolidation or virtualization.

Verdiem enables customers to centrally control and reduce the energy used by PCs, Macs, and network devices running Cisco EnergyWise without impacting end users. LANDesk Raises the Bar with Release of Integrated Systems and Security Management Suites
Patented Innovations in LANDesk Management Suite and Security Suite enable IT to Maximize Productivity while Reducing Cost, Complexity and Risk
ORLANDO, Fla., Oct. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- (Gartner ITxpo) -- LANDesk Software, a global leader in integrated systems and asset management, endpoint security , end-to-end mobility, virtualization management and user-oriented IT service management, today announced version 9.5 of its Management Suite and Security Suite products. Significant upgrades have been incorporated into both suites, including enhanced cross-platform support, innovative software license management and virtualization management. These changes will further enable LANDesk's vast ecosystem of customers and partners to gain better control of their endpoints and in turn, further maximize user productivity in a secure manner.
With Gartner stating that the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) phenomenon is "the most radical shift in the economics of client computing for business since PCs invaded the workplace," IT administrators need to change the way they manage devices. LANDesk is enabling this shift with cross-platform support offered by the 9.5 product families. These features mean IT administrators can manage any number of devices a user brings into the corporate environment, from tablets to iPhones to Windows 8 laptops. These multiple platforms across multiple users can now be managed anytime, anywhere.
In addition to more extensive platform support, further upgrades to the 9.5 product families include enhanced software license management features. These features provide the capability to automatically discover software; group software to create licensable units; reconcile license usage; and track software usage. Management Suite 9.5 also provides IT administrators with the capability to monitor software usage in a virtual desktop interface (VDI) environment. These enhancements give IT the tools they need to be compliant and audit ready, along with saving on costs.
"Management Suite and Security Suite 9.5 were created in order to help solve the pain points we heard our customers voicing," said Steve Workman, vice president of product management, LANDesk Software. "With these products, our current and prospective customers now have the tools they need to maximize user productivity in a secure and cost-effective way. This will become increasingly important as BYOD invades the workplace and security threats continue to proliferate on a daily basis."
LANDesk is also further enabling its current and prospective customers through continued collaboration with a number of major hardware providers. With dozens of hardware choices and hundreds of software programs on the market today, figuring out which software solutions make the most sense across a vast hardware environment can be a daunting task for IT administrators. In order to make this task easier and reduce complexity across the enterprise environment, LANDesk has embarked on joint ventures with HP, Intel and Lenovo.
HP's custom innovation is evident with 9.5's ability to automatically collect information from across the entire enterprise of devices and store this business-relative information in a database. This information includes power consumption per device, the health of notebook batteries and the activation status for mobile broadband cards: all of which can be viewed with custom-tailored HP reports.
9.5 also includes zero touch provisioning via the LANDesk console and Intel's host-based provisioning for vPro enablement. A simplified system defense policy enables remote control of a machine from the network as a right-click function within the LANDesk menu, all the while maintaining Intel vPro access.
9.5 customers can also more easily manage Lenovo devices fleet-wide. With this release, Lenovo and LANDesk created access connections that enable IT administrators to graphically and securely manage and switch network connections between Ethernet, wireless LAN and wireless WAN. In addition, Lenovo Power Manager enables monitoring of electricity consumption and enhanced rescue and recovery features allow administrators to deploy updates, recover from crashes and provide remote access if a system will not boot or if it fails to function when booted.
Additional Features in Management Suite 9.5
-- Virtualization Management: With the release of 9.5, LANDesk customers
can manage both physical and virtual desktops from a single console. For
virtual desktops, LANDesk embraces both persistent and non-persistent
scenarios and enables easy deployment of the management agent.
-- Application Virtualization: 9.5 also broadens LANDesk's application
virtualization support. This solution provides agnostic support of
application virtualization packaging, regardless of vendor
(Microsoft App-V or other standard application virtualization
packages), allowing customers to take advantage of industry-standard
technologies without complexity or hassle.
-- Full Cross-Platform Support (Windows, MAC, iOS, Android, Unix/Linux).
New Operating Systems added include:
-- Windows Embedded Standard 7 Enterprise
-- Windows Embedded Standard 09 Enterprise
-- Retail Point of Sale 7
-- Retail Point of Sale 09
-- HP ThinPro
-- CentOS 6 32/64-bit
-- RHEL 6 32/64-bit
-- SLES 11 32/64-bit
-- SmartVue Dashboards: This tablet application provides a global view of
the Management Suite/Security Suite environment. This application allows
administrators and directors to use the data to plan capacity and
justify value in a conversational setting.
-- Profile Migration for Provisioning: Management Suite 9.5 introduces
actions in provisioning that simplify the capture and deployment of the
user migration across physical and virtual environments.
-- IT Productivity Tools: HTML5 Remote Control allows administrators to
deliver secure, high-performance remote desktop sharing over the web by
taking advantage of the latest web technologies. This is the industry's
first HTML5 remote control client that requires absolutely no plugins
and is faster than any Java remote control client. Windows and Mac
machines can be accessed from any HTML5-capable device. LANDesk has also
made improvements to the Console Inspector, which contains 15 specific
inspectors for console items, improving speed/performance of important
console tasks for administrators. In addition, implementing third-party
tools to systems management solution sets increases deployment time and
cost.
-- Power Manager: Power management now allows clients to auto-update power
usage policies if core server and client policies are not the same. New
policies are now wrapped as patch content and included with a client
update.
-- UEFI Support: 9.5 includes the latest version of WINPE, 64-bit WINPE
support and PXE booting capabilities.
-- Native Support for App-V: 9.5 introduces the deployment of App-V
packages.
-- Wake-on-WAN: Management Suite 9.5 features the ability for a peer on the
subnet to be elected to "Wake-Up" the machines by sending "Magic
Packets" on the local subnet. This allows for WOW to function even when
the network is configured to not forward broadcast packets.
Additional Features in Security Suite 9.5
-- Patch Management Autofix by Scope: The 9.5 release of Patch Management
features Auto-Fix by Scope that includes granular control of install
policies.
-- Core Auditing: Security Suite 9.5 allows auditing administrators to
determine what functions need to be audited. Auditing information is
stored separately from the LANDesk data, and can be sent to the event
log as well. Auditing can also be queried and information can be
archived and restored as needed.
-- Credant Integration (Encryption Status): Administrators can open the
LANDesk console and can determine what devices are encrypted from within
the LANDesk Inventory. Administrators can run a report of protected
and/or unprotected devices.
-- Kaspersky Lab Standard Endpoint Agent 8.0: Security Suite 9.5 will
include the Kaspersky Lab Version 8 Standard Client.
Availability
LANDesk Management Suite and Security Suite 9.5 will be available for purchase on Oct. 31, 2012. Customers can inquire about industry-leading pricing information from a LANDesk representative.

Full Story:
Today at the O'Reilly Strata Conference + Hadoop World in New York, EMC Corporation (NYSE: EMC) announced the availability of the EMC(®) Greenplum Chorus open source code and continued its goal of enabling organizations to derive greater insight and economic value from Big Data with an announcement with Kaggle, a platform for data science competitions.
According to a May 2011 report, 'Big Data: The next frontier for innovation, competition, and productivity' from the McKinsey Global Institute, there is a shortage of talent necessary for organizations to take advantage of Big Data. This shortage of talent is widely believed to be the biggest block to the wholesale adoption of Big Data by industry. EMC and Kaggle today announced that they have joined forces to tackle the short supply for data scientists by integrating Greenplum Chorus, the social platform for collaborative data science, with Kaggle's community of over 55,000 data scientists. This announcement is expected to transform the way organizations with data problems can find and connect with the data scientists who can help solve them.
In the legacy analytics process, data scientists face challenges in accessing and sharing the right data. Greenplum Chorus helps foster a complete data science ecosystem with best-of-breed analytics applications. As a social platform for collaborative data science, Greenplum Chorus users can increase productivity, decrease administrative burdens on IT infrastructures, and get better visibility and faster access to data through a single tool.
Those who are part of Kaggle's community can choose to opt-in to doing contract work through Chorus. From within the Chorus interface, Chorus users wishing to engage the Kaggle community will search, browse, and drill into profiles of Kaggle community members who are interested in collaborating together. Through secure integration of Chorus and Kaggle APIs, users can expose relevant information from Chorus Workspaces and send secure messages. Kaggle certifies Chorus as the source of these messages and forwards messages to the appropriate recipients. Once Kaggle community members review the material, they can respond directly to the Chorus user in order discuss details and initiate the project together.
The Kaggle and Chorus integration brings a new dimension by expanding the opportunity for the industry to realize the benefits of collaborating around Big Data and for elite data scientists to expand the market for their skills.
To be truly impactful, companies' data strategies must be agile. As such, EMC Greenplum's OpenChorus Project has a mission to foster widespread development of Big Data applications and solutions by making Chorus's code open and accessible.
In addition to Kaggle, a number of EMC Greenplum partners have voiced support of the OpenChorus Project and to integrate their tools and solutions with Chorus. Those partners include Actuate, ADVIZOR Solutions, Alpine Data Labs, Gnip, Informatica, Pentaho, Pervasive, SAS, Syncsort, and Tableau Software. Partners commenting on the OpenChorus project can be found at here.

Ultratech Introduces Superfast 3G CGS Inspection System For Use In Front-, Middle- And Back-end-of-line Production
The Superfast 3G Addresses a Wide Range of Applications Such as Overlay and Wafer Stress
SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Ultratech, Inc. (Nasdaq: UTEK), a leading supplier of lithography and laser-processing systems used to manufacture semiconductor devices and high-brightness LEDs (HB-LEDs), today introduced its new in-line wafer inspection system, the Superfast 3G, which provides the flexibility to address a wide range of applications including improved overlay control and enhanced yield. The system has the flexibility to be implemented anywhere in the production line?front-, middle- and back-end-of-line?to address issues confronting leading-edge device manufacturers.
At advanced technology nodes, variations in stress and distortion on a wafer can have a significant impact on device performance and yield. Traditional inspection tools put many different sensors and types of technologies into one tool to access different applications. Based on patented coherent gradient sensing technology (CGS), Ultratech's Superfast 3G utilizes a unique approach. The Superfast 3G provides the industry's highest wafer resolution and measures over 800,000 points of data per wafer compared to competing systems that measure less than 200 points per wafer. The system's high data density is what enables a wide range of applications from one measurement, as within-die, die-to-die and wafer-to-wafer process variations can be characterized quickly and comprehensively. In addition, the Superfast 3G has an edge-exclusion capability of less than 2mm, which is aligned with the industry requirements. The Superfast 3G is an example of Ultratech's commitment to provide leading technology that addresses the critical needs of its global customers in a cost-effective solution.
Ultratech Vice President of Technology and Chief Technologist for Surface Inspection Dave Owen explained, "Ultratech has had this technology for a while and has worked with customers to improve its capabilities. These customers concluded that this inspection capability was critical to improving overlay control, device performance and yield. The Superfast 3G takes an enormous amount of data in a short span of time and creates detailed wafer maps. Without the need for a dedicated target, this production system can measure both patterned and blanket wafers at any stage in the process flow. The CGS technology provides a high degree of flexibility that enables our customers to use a single type of wafer inspection tool across the entire fab line. Also, the Superfast 3G is a low cost-of-ownership and cost-per-point solution compared to competing systems. We are excited to introduce our flexible Superfast 3G in-line, wafer inspection solution to the industry."

ATERAS® Announces ATP(TM) to Maintain Natural Batch Programs
Eliminate SAG License Fees
DALLAS, Oct. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- ATERAS, a leading provider of solutions for legacy migration and modernization, announced today the roadmap to integrate Natural batch programs within the Application Transparency Platform (ATP) framework. This evolution of ATP provides a totally seamless legacy platform re-host solution for Natural sites.
One of the primary benefits of ATP is the ability for existing Natural programmers to maintain and enhance the Natural application code in a greatly improved developer environment while eliminating the need for the mainframe and expensive license fees. Currently, online Natural applications are re-hosted to ATP without any syntax changes and batch Natural programs are converted to a compatible target platform language (C# or COBOL) where they are maintained separately from ATP. With the new release, Natural batch programs will be maintained along with the online Natural programs in ATP without any change to the existing programming syntax.
Developers will use the ATP developer interface to enhance and maintain the Natural batch programs before exporting them to the batch run time environment. This export process eliminates the need for the existing team to learn a new language for batch maintenance. The ability to maintain batch programs within ATP also increases the cohesion of the re-hosted system because of the integrated version management system.
"We're very excited to be developing another solution for Adabas Natural clients to reduce their high mainframe license fees," said Scott Miller, CEO, President, ATERAS. "Improving the integration of the re-hosted solution means clients have an even easier time using the new platform."
ATP is scheduled to begin managing Natural batch programs in the first quarter of 2013. The initial run time export will be to COBOL on Windows or z/OS with additional export options to .NET C# at a later date.
About ATERAS
ATERAS® has supported global enterprises for over 28 years, offering state-of-the art services that exploit automation for transforming legacy applications and databases into modern technologies using automated conversion, modernization, and re-hosting technologies (DB-Shuttle® eav suite, & ATP®). ATERAS' Application Portfolio Management (APM) solutions and Application code understanding range from Assessments of existing IT environments, enterprise field expansion, and COBOL/Natural workbenches to automated documentation tools. Cardinal Health Specialty Solutions Simplifies Medication Safety, Inventory Management for Community Oncology Practices
DUBLIN, Ohio, Oct. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Cardinal Health Specialty Solutions today launched VitalPath(TM) Integrated Dispensing Solution, a Web-based automated medication dispensing system that is designed to make it easier for community oncology practices to improve patient safety, inventory and revenue management.
Many specialty medications used to treat various forms of cancer must be administered through a needle or catheter, often in community oncology offices. Given that specialty oncology medications can cost thousands of dollars per dose - it's critical that oncology practices effectively manage their medication inventories and accurately bill for medications they administer to patients. It's also critical that community oncology practices have access to tools that help them ensure the right medication is administered to the right patient at the right dose, every time.
Cardinal Health Specialty Solutions' new VitalPath(TM) Integrated Dispensing Solution addresses these needs.
"It's clear that Cardinal Health Specialty Solutions listened to the needs of oncology practices like ours when they built VitalPath," said Irene Lustria, CFO, California Cancer Associates for Research and Excellence (cCARE) in San Diego, Calif. "VitalPath is a powerful, intuitive tool that has helped us to optimize our medication dispensing and improve the way we manage, replenish and bill for the medications we administer to patients."
VitalPath(TM) Integrated Dispensing Solution is designed to help community oncology practices:
-- Increase patient safety - Unlike traditional automated dispensing
machines (ADMs) that print one drug per label, VitalPath prints up to
five drugs on a single label, helping practices save time and reduce
errors. It prints labels with Tall Man lettering, which helps staff to
distinguish between look-alike and sound-alike drug names. VitalPath
also empowers staff to dispense medications based upon patient-specific
clinical orders that are physician approved, reducing the opportunity
for errors that can be made when orders are placed manually.
-- Improve staff efficiency - VitalPath offers several features that reduce
administrative burdens related to inventory management and medication
dispensing. The VitalPath screen is easy to read and simple to use. It
displays specific drug descriptions, active ingredients and clinical
orders, including the route of administration. Clinical orders can be
cloned, or replicated, from previous orders directly from the dispensing
cabinet, eliminating the need to manually re-enter orders, which saves
time and reduces the possibility of errors. Because the tool can
electronically transfer patient clinical records from the practice's
electronic health records, clinicians can also review real-time patient
schedules and clinical orders. This reduces the chance for charting,
dosing or reimbursement errors.
-- Enhance practice revenue and charge capture - VitalPath also
automatically manages supplies and pharmaceuticals, tracks inventory and
calculates waste - helping practices improve billing accuracy. It
documents every action taken on the system, allowing practice managers
to use its reporting functions to reconcile invoices and inventory.
VitalPath can also automate the medication replenishment process and
facilitate more efficient inventory planning by automatically
determining which drugs are required for each patient, based on patient
needs, schedule or PAR level.
"We're committed to delivering community oncology practices the tools they need to streamline and automate the time-consuming tasks that take them away from patients," said Meghan FitzGerald, president, Cardinal Health Specialty Solutions. "VitalPath delivers on that commitment by simplifying inventory management and making it easier for practices to improve patient safety while improving their bottom lines."

"Compuverde's ability to synchronize the cache among all virtual machines delivers unrivalled performance and scalability," said Stefan Bernbo, CEO and founder of Compuverde. "The companies we've been talking to say that adding more virtual machines at scale swiftly becomes unwieldy or expensive or both. Webalo® Introduces the World's First Service That Provides Enterprise Mobility in Minutes(TM)
The self-service technology uses a web-based configuration process that can be mastered by anyone to provide direct smartphone and tablet access to enterprise applications and data
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Webalo, Inc. announced today the general availability of its cloud-based enterprise mobility service that makes it fast and easy to create secure, bi-directional, transactional mobile connections to the enterprise applications and data that employees rely on to do their jobs.
With today's launch of Webalo, The App for Enterprise(TM), complexity, time, and cost are no longer obstacles to enterprise mobility. Los Angeles-based Webalo, Inc. has made it possible to learn its technology and then configure and deploy enterprise-to-mobile tasks and workflows, all in under an hour. Customers sign up online at http://www.webalo.com for a free Webalo Cloud account and then sign in to learn how Webalo works and to configure connections to enterprise resources. As soon as a configuration is deployed, users can sign on to use it on Android, Apple, BlackBerry, and Windows smartphones and tablets.
Webalo delivers enterprise mobility more than 100x faster than traditional mobile application development methods. It also reduces the burden on IT by lowering development overhead and minimizing reliance on internal IT resources. The result is on-demand mobility that helps employees increase business efficiency and productivity.
"We are pleased to have selected Webalo for the mobility tools we need to more efficiently manage our inventory. Mobile solutions are increasingly critical to meet the ongoing replenishment demands of our Home Depot customer in more than 150 store locations across seven states," said Joe Perret, Vice President, Systems and Technology of Bell Nursery, one of the nation's largest greenhouse growers with growing operations in Maryland, Virginia, and Ohio. "We selected Webalo because the service is easy to deploy and configure on a variety of mobile platforms, and will scale quickly and cost effectively as our business continues to grow."
"Through our partnership with Webalo, an approved associate can initiate sophisticated search queries on his/her mobile device as easily as they can on a laptop. This capability can put information at the fingertips of decision makers wherever and whenever they need it." said John Ozsvath, Vice President - Information Services of Anixter, a global distributor of communications and security products, electrical and electronic wire and cable, fasteners and other small components. "Webalo is so easy to deploy that we were able to roll out numerous customized mobile applications throughout the company without overburdening the IT department."
"Traditional approaches to mobile application development don't reflect the speed and simplicity that people have come to expect from mobility," said Webalo CEO, Peter Price. "The time and cost involved force employees to wait in line for weeks or months while requirements are written, prototypes are created, apps are tested, and users are trained. In the time it takes for a mobile app kick-off meeting, Webalo customers can create and deploy extremely sophisticated long-tail mobile capabilities - the lookups, data entry, updates, approvals, and countless other workflows that they now have to perform on desktops and laptops. In today's all-mobile-all-the-time environment small businesses will require dozens of mobile apps, mid-market businesses hundreds, and Fortune-ranked businesses thousands. At Webalo we've built an economically scalable service that will enable these companies to meet their mobile requirements for pennies an app and do it in a fraction of the usual time. It's mobility the way people want it to be - fast, easy, and affordable."
Analysts understand the impact of mobility, the shift to BYOD and how traditional software development processes don't apply in today's mobile world. "The rise of 'bring your own device' programs is the single most radical shift in the economics of client computing for business since PCs invaded the workplace," said David Willis, Vice President and Distinguished Analyst, Gartner Research. "Mobile innovation is now driven more by consumer markets than by business markets. Affordability is not only putting very powerful technology in the hands of consumers, but those consumers are also upgrading at a much-faster rate. Thus, organizations may keep up with mobile technology advancements more effectively by aligning to the consumer, rather than maintaining the much-slower pace of business technology adoption, with its long cycle of detailed requirements analysis, established refresh rates and centralized procurement heritage."*

Check Fast Personal Loans for People with Bad Credit
QuickLoansBadCredit.org adds a new swift bad credit personal loan checker to its website. The new addition maximizes the chances of applications finding suitable loans by directly funneling details to the most appropriate lenders
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- QuickLoansBadCredit.org, top online resource for reputable bad credit lenders, announces a new addition to its website. The service is now running with a bad credit personal loan checker that has the capacity to cross-reference details provided by the consumer to the best matched lenders for their needs. The checker is free to use and is initiated by the completion of a brief secure online application, asking a few essential questions to ensure the best results.
A spokesperson for QuickLoansBadCredit.org announced the availability of the new function.
"QuickLoansBadCredit.org is pleased to make its new fast loans service even more effective and efficient, thanks to our new online loan checker. It can be hard to know when to start when looking online for loans, especially if the would-be borrower has a low credit score. Our service is ideal for those who want to take a look at the many loan companies who cater to them specifically. We invite consumers to try it to see what they can find."
As well as being a handy way to compare a variety of loans, the information provided by a searcher in the QuickLoansBadCredit online form acts as an application to matching loan companies. The service hopes that this time saving measure will appeal to the many consumers who do not have the time to fill our separate loan application forms or conduct scores of online searches themselves.
The spokesperson was asked to give a run through of what a consumer can expect when using their website to compare and find a personal loan for bad credit people.
"The website has been made super-easy to navigate, so it's great if an individual only has a little time to do some research. Our live online application form is the key to everything and it takes only a minute or two to complete. With that done, our service connects with hundreds of reliable U.S. based lenders who review the form and can approve a loan without credit checking. A bad credit loan could be in a customer's bank account within a few hours after approval."

PrescribeWellness Launches Solution to Help Control Hospital Readmissions
Service helps hospitals improve patient satisfaction scores
ALISO VIEJO, Calif., Oct. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- PrescribeWellness today announced the release of its Transitional Care Intervention (TCI) solution to help reduce controllable readmissions for hospitals across the United States.
On October 1st, the Value Based Purchasing portion of the Affordable Care Act went into effect, shifting some of the readmission responsibilities to different community organizations. The PrescribeWellness TCI platform automates the delivery of critical educational and motivational information based on the individual's diagnosis, condition, risk factors and needs. It includes built-in reminders for appointments and medication adherence in the patient's language and channel of choice. Real-time reporting allows providers to instantly identify patients that need more intensive support.
"Nearly 20 percent of discharged Medicare patients are readmitted to the hospital within 30 days," said Al Babbington, CEO of PrescribeWellness. "Many of these readmissions are controllable. Using our unique Voice of Authority methodology patients receive support in the voice of their provider, driving greater compliance to appointments, medications and other discharge instructions."
Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MEDPAC) findings indicate that 19 percent of Medicare patients have an adverse event within 30 days with two-thirds of these events relating to prescription drug interactions. Family, pharmacists and primary care physicians must be involved to reduce adverse events and improve care transitions. PrescribeWellness' partnerships with state pharmacy associations leverage a network of over 10,000 independent pharmacies to improve proper medication adherence.
Previous methods to assure safe transitions are very labor intensive with active involvement from case managers, social workers or other staff. Leveraging the latest in Web 2.0 tools, PrescribeWellness automates follow-up, collects compliance information and alerts others as necessary to properly support the patient.
The initial release includes content developed by medical professionals to address the unique needs of patients who have suffered heart failure, heart attacks, pneumonia and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. These diseases represent the tracked and penalized areas by the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services. PrescribeWellness is offering hospitals facing penalties the opportunity to try TCI without cost or obligation.
"One exciting aspect about this solution is that it can be launched in a day and hospitals can instantly measure success and ROI," said Babbington.
