WINCHESTER, Va., July 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Trex Company, the world's largest manufacturer of wood-alternative decking and railing, recently launched a Deck Color Visualizer exclusively for the iPad. Available for complimentary download from the Apple iTunes App Store, the tool assists homeowners in exploring deck color options and sharing their ideas with others. Featuring photo-realistic representations of three Trex outdoor living spaces, users may experiment virtually with the colors of various deck elements in order to design a completely customized outdoor oasis.
"Trex understands that more and more consumers are using their iPads to access ideas and information, and we're the first wood-alternative decking brand making outdoor living design resources available in this mobile format," said Ronald Kaplan, chairman, president and CEO of Trex. "With the Deck Color Visualizer App, users may experiment with outdoor living colors whenever and wherever inspiration strikes - and then sit down with a contractor and say, 'This is exactly how I want my deck to look.'"

With just a touch on the Color Visualizer toolbar, the user may view the available deck and railing components in a variety of colors - including the seven rich Trex Transcend® hues that feature subtle shading, natural variations and distinctive hardwood-like textures. These colors are Tree House (light brown), Vintage Lantern (deep-burnished bronze), Fire Pit (spicy red), Gravel Path (pristine grey), Spiced Rum (warm, earthy umber), Lava Rock (rich, reddish-black hardwood streaking) and Rope Swing (a light taupe). Additionally, the user may view the railing in Classic White and Black.

"Planning an outdoor living space from scratch can be intimidating, and Trex is constantly developing tools and resources that simplify the process for homeowners," said Kaplan. Emulex Delivers 16Gb Fibre Channel Connectivity for Dell
Demand for 16Gb Fibre Channel Performance Driven by Virtualized, Cloud and Database Applications
COSTA MESA, Calif., July 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Emulex Corporation (NYSE: ELX) today announced that its new LightPulse® 16Gb Fibre Channel (16GFC) Host Bus Adapter (HBA) technology is available for use across a broad range of Dell servers, storage and switches, designed to meet the demands of today's highly virtualized data centers, larger and faster databases, and cloud environments. The new Dell LPe16000 (single-channel) and LPe16002 (dual-channel) 16GFC HBAs are the first 16GFC adapters available for Dell PowerEdge servers and for use with Dell PowerVault MD3620f and MD3600f storage arrays, as well as Dell PowerConnect and Dell Force10 switches.
"The growth of the total data in the storage universe will nearly triple from 2.7 zettabytes in 2012 to more than 8 zettabytes by 2015, according to IDC,(1)" said Shaun Walsh, senior vice president of marketing and business development, Emulex. "Given this level of continued data growth, we expect the demand for 16GFC will accelerate the transition from 8GFC to 16GFC, and being the first-to-market with the world's fastest 16GFC HBA technology(2) for a range of Dell solutions will facilitate the storage networking needs of virtualization, cloud and database environments."
The Dell 16GFC adapters meet these challenges by delivering more than a million I/O operations per second (IOPS) on a single port(2 )and slashing the response time by 75 percent compared to its 8GFC predecessor.(3) Transitioning to 16GFC adapters is easy with backward compatibility to 4 and 8GFC adapters from Emulex, leveraging a common driver stack and management tools across generations.
"Leveraging Emulex 16GFC technology for the new Dell LPe16000 and LPe16002 adapters enhances our highest performing, most innovative PowerEdge Server generation ever with a streamlined upgrade path and the fastest technology available today," said Brian Payne, executive director of server solutions, Dell. "By migrating to 16GFC, our customers can both maintain their current Fibre Channel investments and enable throughput gains that are needed to realize the potential of technologies that require a faster I/O link speed - to run the fastest databases, solid state disk, cloud, and next-generation Intel processors."
IT professionals are demanding Dell 16GFC adapters to meet the following needs:
-- Support for faster databases, bigger clouds and solid state disks
(SSDs): The Dell 16GFC adapters feature industry leading performance
with more than five times the IOPS and twice the data throughput of 8GFC
adapters,(2) providing faster response times for high transaction
databases, greater virtual machine (VM) density required for cloud
deployments and delivering the performance needed to match ultra-fast
SSDs.
-- Increasing VM Densities: Dell 16GFC adapters leverage Emulex vScale(TM)
for superior scalability, supporting up to 255 virtual functions (VFs),
1024 Message Signal Interrupts Extended (MSI-X) and 8192 concurrent
logins and open exchanges, up to four times the number supported by
competing 16GFC HBAs, enabling support for more VMs per server than ever
before.
-- Simplified and Time-Saving I/O Management: With a single driver model,
the Dell 16GFC adapters can be controlled, configured and managed from a
single console using Emulex OneCommand® Manager, enabling enterprise
scalability with time-saving features that provide more than twice the
adapter management functionality and take half the time to install and
manage compared to other I/O solutions.(4 )Emulex OneCommand® Manager
plug-in for VMware vCenter(TM) Server allows users to manage Emulex
adapters across hundreds of servers, natively from the VMware vCenter
Server console so administrators don't waste time juggling multiple
management applications.
-- Reduced Data Center CAPEX and OPEX: The Dell 16GFC adapters yield
consolidation benefits including significant cost savings by enabling a
reduction in cards, cables and the number of switch ports required when
using a 16GFC fabric, as well as delivering associated power savings
through better IOPS per watt performance. PCIe slots are also freed-up
for other needs.

Emulex Safe Harbor Statement
"Safe Harbor" Statement under the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995: With the exception of historical information, the statements set forth above include forward-looking statements that involve risk and uncertainties. Emulex wishes to caution readers that a number of important factors could cause actual results to differ materially from those in the forward-looking statements. Those factors include among others, intellectual property claims, with or without merit, that could result in costly litigation, cause product shipment delays, require Emulex to indemnify customers, or require Emulex to enter into royalty or licensing agreements, which may or may not be available. Furthermore, Emulex has in the past obtained, and may be required in the future to obtain, licenses of technology owned by other parties. Emulex cannot be certain that the necessary licenses will be available or that they can be obtained on commercially reasonable terms. If Emulex were to fail to obtain such royalty or licensing agreements in a timely manner and on reasonable terms, Emulex's business, results of operations and financial condition could be materially adversely affected. Ongoing lawsuits, such as the action brought by Broadcom Corporation ("Broadcom"), present inherent risks, any of which could have a material adverse effect on Emulex's business, financial condition, or results of operations. Such potential risks include continuing expenses of litigation, risk of loss of patent rights and/or monetary damages, risk of injunction against the sale of products incorporating the technology in question, counterclaims, attorneys' fees, incremental costs associated with product or component redesigns, and diversion of management's attention from other business matters. With respect to the Broadcom litigation, such potential risks also include the availability of an adequate sunset period of time to make design changes, the ability to implement any design changes, the availability of customer resources to complete any re-qualification or re-testing that may be needed, the ability to maintain favorable working relationships with Emulex suppliers of serializer/deserializer (SerDes) modules and the ability to obtain a settlement that does not put Emulex at a competitive disadvantage. In addition, the fact that the economy generally, and the technology and storage segments specifically, have been in a state of uncertainty makes it difficult to determine if past experience is a good guide to the future and makes it impossible to determine if markets will grow or shrink in the short term. The current economic downturn and the resulting disruptions in world credit and equity markets that are creating economic uncertainty for Emulex's customers and the storage networking market as a whole has, and could, continue to adversely affect Emulex's revenues and results of operations. Furthermore, the effect of any actual or potential unsolicited offers to acquire Emulex may have an adverse effect on Emulex's operations. As a result of these uncertainties, Emulex is unable to predict its future results with any accuracy. Other factors affecting these forward-looking statements include, but are not limited to, the following: faster than anticipated decline in the storage networking market; slower than expected growth of the storage networking market or the failure of Emulex's Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customers to successfully incorporate Emulex products into their systems; Emulex's dependence on a limited number of customers and the effects of the loss of, decrease in or delays of orders by any such customers, or the failure of such customers to make timely payments; the emergence of new or stronger competitors as a result of consolidation movements in the market; the timing and market acceptance of Emulex products or Emulex OEM customers' new or enhanced products; costs associated with entry into new areas of the storage technology market; the variability in the level of Emulex's backlog and the variable and seasonal procurement patterns of Emulex's customers; any inadequacy of Emulex's intellectual property protection and the costs of actual or potential third-party claims of infringement and any related indemnity obligations or adverse judgments; impairment charges, including but not limited to goodwill and intangible assets; changes in tax rates or legislation; the effects of acquisitions; the effects of terrorist activities; natural disasters, such as the earthquake and resulting tsunami off the coast of Japan in March 2011 and the significant flooding in various parts of Thailand in October 2011, and any resulting disruption in Emulex's supply chain or customer purchasing patterns or any other resulting economic or political instability; the highly competitive nature of the markets for Emulex products as well as pricing pressures that may result from such competitive conditions; the effects of changes in Emulex's business model to separately charge for software; the effect of rapid migration of customers towards newer, lower cost product platforms; possible transitions from board or box level to application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) solutions for selected applications; a shift in unit product mix from higher-end to lower-end or mezzanine card products; a faster than anticipated decrease in the average unit selling prices or an increase in the manufactured cost of Emulex products; delays in product development; Emulex's reliance on third-party suppliers and subcontractors for components and assembly; Emulex's ability to attract and retain key technical personnel; Emulex's ability to benefit from research and development activities; Emulex's dependence on international sales and internationally produced products; changes in accounting standards; and the potential effects of global warming and any resulting regulatory changes on Emulex's business. These and other factors that could cause actual results to differ materially from those in the forward-looking statements are also discussed in Emulex's filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission, including its recent filings on Forms 8-K, 10-K and 10-Q. IBM Helps Germany's REAL Hypermarkets Personalize Online Coupons for In-Store Shoppers
ARMONK, N.Y., July 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Major retail hypermarket chain REAL, part of Metro Group, worked with IBM (NYSE: IBM) to launch a new electronic coupon system throughout its 320 German stores. This first-of-a-kind digital coupon system, developed with IBM Research scientists, enables consumers to use their mobile phones to find and redeem e-coupons as they shop in stores. This delivers a convenient and personalized service to shoppers, even if they left their paper coupons at home.
REAL hypermarkets, which sell about 80,000 items, from food to electrical appliances to clothing, already conducts the largest coupon program in Germany through the company's "Payback" program. REAL cites customer loyalty programs such as Payback as an important part of their business strategy in the highly competitive retail market.
REAL's coupon program enables in-store Payback members to use their mobile phones to browse online coupons as they walk through the aisles. Shoppers can choose their favorite coupons from the REAL homepage or a Payback app on their smartphones. In a maximum of 500 milliseconds, the system confirms their choice and transfers an eCoupon to the store's "3V - Value Voucher Validation" coupon system in real time. To redeem the eCoupon, customers display their Payback membership card upon check-out and the transaction is processed automatically.
Flexible, personalized service for consumers
For REAL, the electronic system offers a more personalized view of customers and the option to change coupon distribution in real time. Promotions can respond more flexibly to seasonal changes or fashion fads to appeal to ever-changing consumer tastes.
"In essence, we are simplifying and improving the coupon redemption process," explains Bernd Hasenbank, Head of Point of Sale Solutions at REAL.
"In the era of Big Data, consumers expect a superior retail experience - which puts pressure on retailers to deliver hyper-personalized services," says Falk Nieder, consultant at IBM Global Business Services. "REAL's e-couponing system demonstrates that retailers can deliver timely and customized coupons so that marketing feels more like a welcomed service."
REAL expects that it will be receiving several hundred thousand eCoupon queries and eCoupon redemptions per day at the cash registers of it 320 stores. That is not an easy task for the underlying information technology (IT) architecture with a central server.
The new 3V coupon system at REAL is based on existing IBM solutions at METRO Group, which are compliant with the EPC Information Services Standard (EPCIS) of EPCglobal. The system is based on IBM InfoSphere Traceability Server, a high-performance data storage device, that is able to manage and analyze large amounts of data, integrate master data systems and provide data in real-time for internal and external applications.

CloudForge also helps IT operations define and control their deployment processes, then pass control to developers to one-click deploy to PaaS and cloud environments, including Amazon Web Services (EC2), VMWare's CloudFoundry.com, AppFog, Force.com, and Google App Engine. This provides a flexible and low-cost "on-ramp" to cloud development that is 100 percent enterprise-ready, with the high availability, backup, compliance, security, user management and support expected from a world-class cloud offering.
"Feedback from thousands of CloudForge beta testers and results from a recent CollabNet Cloud survey that show that more than 90 percent of our community are deploying some apps to cloud platforms," said Marion. "CollabNet is focusing on providing a unique and easy way for businesses to manage and scale their adoption of PaaS and cloud-based deployment, to meet the enterprise need for security and reliability, without sacrificing freedom and flexibility."
CloudForge is now available in general availability at (http://www.cloudforge.com). A variety of service options are available, ranging from a free and 30-Day trial plans, to $3.50-per-user-per-month personal plans, and from $16.50 per user per month for business configurations.

Regatta Travel Solutions to Bring CVBs to Google Hotel Finder
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., July 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Regatta Travel Solutions announced today that it will integrate its booking engine for CVBs with Google Hotel Finder. The launch of Google's Hotel Finder has generated a significant amount of discussion in the travel industry, especially since Google has begun placing the tool prominently in natural search results. The move by Regatta will allow CVBs to participate in the excitement as this tool takes shape and gains momentum with consumers.
"If someone Googles a hotel in Seattle and clicks the price that appears in the Google+ Local listing, there is no reason that VisitSeattle.org shouldn't appear along with the other OTAs as a booking option with live prices," said Ashwin Kamlani, President of Regatta Travel Solutions. "CVBs underestimate the credibility they carry with consumers and unfortunately many have given up on the idea that they can drive a significant volume of leisure bookings to suppliers in their destinations. The results from our clients prove otherwise."
Regatta Travel Solutions made a big splash at this year's DMAI Annual Conference in Seattle, serving as the official housing solution for the conference and garnering a lot of attention on the exhibitor floor with their ground breaking approach to attracting leisure bookings through CVBs. Regatta already offers its CVB clients the capability to be listed as a booking option in TripAdvisor's "Show Prices" tool, with pinpoint accurate tracking of ROI. Regatta's booking engine will now be integrated with Google Hotel Finder through a strategic alliance with Woodcrick Ventures, Inc. and their Seekda technology which feeds live rates and availability to Google travel products. This is yet another example of how Regatta is opening the door for CVBs to participate in the most cutting edge online marketing tactics.
"We're thrilled to have established this alliance with Regatta Travel Solutions and to have the Google Hotel Finder connection become a part of their innovative CVB offering. The Regatta solution set is second-to-none, and now participating CVBs and DMOs will have even greater reach and capabilities," said Craig Wingate, CEO of Woodcrick Ventures.
About Regatta Travel Solutions Inc.
Regatta Travel Solutions provides specialized online booking technology and marketing tactics for DMOs (Destination Marketing Organizations). DMOs that use Regatta to book travel on their sites can increase revenue for their destination, lower the cost paid by suppliers per booking, and increase membership and participation for their organizations. Visit http://www.regattatravelsolutions.com for more details. Regatta Travel Solutions is an Alliance Partner of DMAI.
About Woodcrick Ventures, Inc.
Woodcrick Ventures is the worldwide representative of Seekda which provides advanced lodging industry technology and is one of the few partners selected, audited, approved and contracted by Google to provide hoteliers the opportunity to participate directly in Google's Hotel Price Ads program. Hoteliers worldwide can quickly have the direct connection to push real-time rates and inventory to Google with no required changes to existing vendors, relationships or infrastructure. Avant Browser Released Version 177 - Optimized Rendering Engine Switch
LOS ANGELES, July 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Following the release of Firefox 14 and Chrome 20, Avant Browser 2012 build 177 tri-core version has released in quick succession, having kept its engines (trident, gecko and webkit) up-to-date and optimized the switch between multi-engines. Regardless who wins the browser war, standing on the shoulders of giants, Avant Browser has not only perfectly integrated all advantages of the most popular browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome), continuous improvements of performance of rendering engines, increasingly perfect support for Html5, rich plug-ins, but also strengthened its ability of anti-freeze. With new features and improvements on existing features as well as miscellaneous fixes, Avant Browser 2012 build 177 tri-core version will bring users more happy and effortless browsing experience.
Anti-freeze
After testing on the mainstream operating systems, Avant Browser shows an excellent ability of anti-freeze. Even if one page has frozen due to some add-on or excessive page elements, other pages and the whole browser will keep working.
Fast cold start speed
Avant Browser has a fast cold start speed. Think the tri-core browser is redundant? Contrarily, using Avant Browser is like using an almighty browser, you may have switched between three rendering engines IE, Firefox and Chrome automatically without noticing.
Optimized rendering engine switch
When Avant Browser is installed, the rendering engine of Chrome is set by default. Once you learn to use the rendering engine customizing feature, you'll experience the strength of this tri-core browser by specifying different rendering engines for different websites.
For instance, Chrome may be more compatible on its sites like Gmail or Google Maps and they can be assigned to load with Chrome's engine. Internet Explorer's trident engine is good for reading non-English websites since it allows users to choose page encodings. Considering Firefox's engine consumes less memory and performs the best on FTP sites, it can be set as the default rendering engine for web surfing on your laptop.
Moreover, if a rendering engine encounters a problem correctly displaying a webpage, you can switch to other rendering engines on that current page via the drop-down list of the green [Go] icon on the right of the address bar.
Inherited the rich plug-ins of Firefox & Chrome
Avant Browser users can continue using their favorite Firefox & Chrome add-ons/plug-ins, such as Adblock Plus, Roboform, etc.
Telefonica UK (O2) Makes First Big Move to Small Cells with Ruckus Wireless
Europe's Premiere Mobile Operator Selects Ruckus SmartCell as a Strategic Platform to Meet the Explosive Demand for Mobile Data Services within High Density London Locations
SUNNYVALE, Calif., July 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Ruckus Wireless(®) today announced that it has been selected by Telefonica UK, which operates the popular O2 brand, to supply high-capacity small cell products for high-speed wireless services being deployed throughout London.
Already deployed throughout the busiest, iconic areas in central London, such as Trafalgar Square, Parliament Square, Leicester Square, Regent Street and Oxford Street, Ruckus SmartCell(TM) 8800s have initially been deployed to provide free, fast and reliable Wi-Fi to anyone.
Within a single, low-profile design, the SmartCell 8800 is the first carrier-grade, modular multi-radio system to integrate patented adaptive antenna array technology supporting multiple licensed and unlicensed radio technologies including: high-speed dual-band 802.11n Wi-Fi, small cell 3G/4G radios and 5GHz wireless backhaul. This gives Telefonica UK the flexibility to easily and economically offer high-speed Wi-Fi and cellular services in specific locations when needed.
"For O2, it's all about us providing customers with fast and reliable connectivity where they need it," said Derek McManus, chief operating officer for Telefonica UK. "Our vision is for Wi-Fi to be simply another access layer to our mobile core. Customers don't really care about the underlying technology; they care about getting connected, fast and reliably. The introduction of small cells helps us to support these requirements and completely complements our mobile strategy by letting us push capacity closer to users in locations where it makes the most sense."
"In telecoms there is now a mad race to the lamppost, and the first one there wins," said Selina Lo, president and CEO of Ruckus Wireless. "A big barrier in small cell deployment is simply securing the physical locations with the requisite power and backhaul to support small cells. Once physical assets secured, it becomes important for operators to exploit them with as much technology as they can. This means multi-function, carrier-grade products that are simple deploy, unobtrusive and massively scalable. SmartCell is one of those products and O2 is one of those operators taking a lead in this race."
After extensive evaluations of wireless suppliers, Telefonica UK selected Ruckus and its SmartCell system. "It all really boiled down to who had the best Wi-Fi for carriers and the most forward-thinking strategy to integrate Wi-Fi within existing and future cellular infrastructure," said McManus.
Beating the Backhaul Dilemma
"A major challenge with small cell deployments is how to reliably backhaul traffic from potentially thousands of small cell nodes without breaking the bank," said Robert Joyce, chief radio engineer at Telefonica UK."
Telefonica UK effectively eliminates this problem by meshing traffic over highly reliable 5 GHz Wi-Fi mesh links between nodes using Ruckus Smart Mesh technology. Smart Mesh uses advanced self-organizing network (SON) principles with Ruckus-patented adaptive antenna arrays (BeamFlex(TM)) and predictive channel management techniques (ChannelFly(TM)). Combined these technologies create highly resilient, high-speed Wi-Fi mesh backbone links between nodes that automatically adapt to changes in environmental conditions.
Thought by many to not be possible, Smart Mesh has demonstrated to deliver reliable backhaul for licensed cellular and unlicensed Wi-Fi traffic in both line of sight and non-line of site environments.
"Ruckus Smart Mesh technology is proving to offer a cost-effective, reliable and flexible alternative to conventional approaches," said Joyce. "With Smart Mesh, we are running fiber to just one of every five nodes. This has proven to be a huge benefit in reducing capital and operational expense with the added bonus of reducing the time to market."
Big Improvements with Small Cells
Small cells represent a new architectural approach for injecting much needed capacity into service provider networks. Small cells are miniature base stations that combine licensed and unlicensed radio technology with wireless backhaul to deliver lower powered wireless signals much closer to mobile users. This results in better signal coverage, improved voice quality and higher data performance.
Small cells enable operators to provide a premium quality mobile signal where it was never previously economic, such as indoor environments and remote outdoor locations. They also enable operators to meet the burgeoning demand for mobile data, by multiplying the data capacity of the macro network at a fraction of the cost.
With the Ruckus SmartCell system, mobile operators gain a capacity boost from LTE small cells, cutting costs and complexity by co-locating and combining them with Wi-Fi access points, sharing site-lease agreements and backhaul. The integration of Wi-Fi and LTE small cells within the cellular core also helps operators optimize network utilization across the radio access network, providing a further improvement in performance, and creating a seamless experience for subscribers.

Acer AT390 Adopts Borqs Integrated Software and Hardware Solutions
BEIJING, July 30, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Acer Group, official worldwide Olympics sponsor and IT giant, announced its latest mobile terminal strategy and smartphone lineup at the "Acer Mobile Terminal Strategy and Mobile Phone Release Ceremony," held on July 18 in Beijing. Dave Chan, General Manager of Acer's China Smartphone Business Group, presided at the ceremony and outlined the group's plan for the months ahead. The AT390, a key new product introduced at the event, has been developed in conjunction with leading global end-to-end Android+ and cloud software solutions provider Borqs International Holding Corp. (Borqs). This marks the first time that the Beijing-based Borqs has provided both the integrated hardware and software solutions for a terminal manufacturer and the first instance of cooperation between Acer and Borqs.
Speaking at the event, Dave Chan said: "The smartphone market has experienced massive growth in the past two years, and Acer's market share has gradually increased. Demand from China is particularly strong. The latest figures show that the number of smartphones connected to the internet has already exceeded that of PCs, signifying how important mobile terminals have become. Since Acer deployed its mobile phone business in 2007, it has achieved relatively deep product distribution in both Europe and North America. In 2011, Acer Group underwent a strategic adjustment, moving to expand beyond our traditional PC business in China. Acer set up a smartphone business group and established a second China Operations Center in Chongqing in order to strengthen our smartphone R&D. After nearly two years of preparation, this year Acer will shift its focus to the Chinese market, investing in creating a competitive advantage in the field of mobile terminals. It will release the best models from its global product lines into the Chinese market and strive to build a strong brand image in China."
The just-released AT390 is TD for CMCC market; 4.3-inch-screen smartphone runs the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. The new model extends the design of Acer CloudMobile(TM), the winner of the 2012 iF Product Design Award noted for its streamlined appearance. As Acer's leading entry-to-mid-level handset, the AT390 manages to set itself apart from competing products by bringing together Borqs' comprehensive technical advantages in the field of hardware and software solutions for smart terminals with and Acer's 30 years' of experience as a global technology leader. The AT390 looks to set a new standard in its class, and the product has led to much anticipation about Acer's next steps in the mobile terminal industry.
Mr. Pat Chan, CEO and President of Borqs, said: "With the growing popularity of smart terminals, the global phone market is undergoing dramatic changes. Acer's timing in entering the Chinese market demonstrates a deep understanding of these market trends, and Borqs commends the firm on its new smartphone strategy and direction. Borqs will continue to expand its overseas business based on the experience it has gained from in-depth cooperation with both domestic and international mobile network operators and terminal manufacturers. New Ingenious Construction Tool Houses a Carpenters Pencil and Attaches to the Top of Your Thumb for Instant Access Every Time
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio, July 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Northeast Ohio native Gary Downing has created Qwick-Draw. "'Measure it, Mark it and Cut it FAST' is the mantra for this one-of-a-kind little device," says Downing.
It's amazing how much time is spent reaching for, looking for or picking up a pencil that may have been dropped or forgotten when climbing up a ladder or on a rooftop. This simple device will make that a thing of the past! Not only can you draw a straight line with it and write down any dimensions, you can also make a list of material needed for that job. Downing says, "I understand some of the 'Old School' contractors are happy keeping their pencil behind their ear, and that's ok!" He continues, "However, those that give it a shot will find it quite helpful, especially for their crew members and the everyday do-it-yourselfer."
Qwick-Draw is approximately 1 1/2 inches long and open at both ends. Once a pencil is sharpened (2 included), the pencil slides in from either end and then attaches to the top of either thumb with the Velcro (that is also included), extending the tip of pencil past the thumbnail. When the pencil needs to be sharpened, simply push it through from the backside and sharpen, it's as simple as that!
Union Carpenter in Youngstown, Ohio, Donald Beaumont says, "It's one of those simple ideas that is functional, serves a purpose and works well that you wish you would have thought of."
There is a short video that demonstrates how Qwick-Draw actually works and is just 3 minutes in length; additionally, they offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee: Use it, Like it or Send it Back. Qwick-Draw is just $2.25 each.

RayV's Cloud TV transforms the viewing experience of millions
Shlomi Cohen, CEO of RayV Technologies: "We transform the viewing experience of millions of content consumers worldwide"
TEL AVIV, Israel, July 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- RayV Technologies, an Israeli company founded in 2006, specializes in the delivery of high quality Live TV and VOD content to Mobile devices and PCs and connected devices through the Cloud. The company employs 50 employees, most of which are world-class mathematicians and algorithm developers.
What added value does RayV bring to the telecommunications market?
The broadcast of premium content to millions of viewers worldwide is a fast growing market, attracting technology giants like Apple and Google. Our unique technology enables high quality streaming of live TV and VoD, without buffering.
We developed our own content players, control and billing tools, as well as regional distribution servers, in order to help content providers monitor content viewing at all times and reduce expenses. Moreover, our collaborations with different service providers, like payment processing firms, enable content providers to maximize direct income from viewers, without relying on cable and satellite companies.
What is innovative about RayV CloudTV?
Compared to other technologies currently on the market, RayV CloudTV technology provides an exceptionally high-quality and advanced online broadcast system. Video content is streamed (even at relatively low connection speeds) without the need to upload or download. Zapping between channels is fast and easy - like the tabs of a browser window.
RayV CloudTV provides an optimal solution for suppliers and customers alike: content providers can gain direct access to any online customer and broadcast premium OTT content to millions of viewers, at significantly higher speed than standard streaming. Customers get their content directly from the provider of their choice, and can view it instantly and in high-quality, on any smartphone, tablet, PC, or Smart TV.
RayV CloudTV is a flexible turnkey solution which is based on its unique streaming technology that enables multi-source-streaming and requires little investment in infrastructure.
How do you expect this to change the rules of the game?
We aim to transform the viewing experience of consumers around the world and change the role of television. Our solution does just that.
While Apple and Google struggle with hardware constraints, RayV's technology is hardware agnostic which enables a fast, simple, flexible, and adaptive direct transmission of video and content to any device. In addition, due to the low cost broadcast method, the premium content is also offered at lower prices.
Our technology is used by content providers, TV channels, telecom, cellular, cables, and satellite companies, in the U.S., Europe and Asia-Pacific. We have already broadcasted over 10 billion of viewing minutes to over 7 million viewers on over 200 channels worldwide.
The range of capabilities our technology offers, the high quality viewing experience it provides, and the attractive price, will significantly extend the scope of content provision and consumption.

particular discussion-threads to remain updated.
"At Elsevier, our goal is to enable researchers to do what they do best: make new
discoveries. To help them do this, we strive to deliver the right information to them at
the right time in the right context," said Y.S. Chi, Chairman of Elsevier Management
Committee. "We've consistently worked to develop a deep understanding of our customers and
their needs, but initiatives like the CodeForScience competition enable the community to
identify pain points and drive innovation themselves. This leads to more targeted and

eServGlobal (LSE: ESG & ASX: ESV), a global telecoms software vendor specialising in
mobile money and Value-Added Services, announces that its solution is exceeding the
expectations of Asian operator Nepal Telecom. eServGlobal launched its post paid bill
payment offering at Nepal Telecom in March this year, generating impressive outcomes
within its first months of operation.
eServGlobal have worked with Nepal Telecom since 2008, building on initial
requirements for recharge technology to progressively enrich the service offering in line
with the demands of their subscriber base. Through eServGlobal's solution, Nepal Telecom
offers both voucher and electronic recharge and have recently launched bill payment
services, providing post paid mobile users with a convenient and efficient alternative for
bill payment while simultaneously generating multiple benefits for the operator.
Previously, Nepal Telecom had been using traditional bill payment counters, incurring
high capex and opex and resulting in a small number of actual counters. Customers were
forced to travel to their nearest counter and queue to pay their post paid bills. The new
bill payment facility implemented by eServGlobal means that each of the 15,000 existing
recharge point-of-sales agents is now capable of processing post paid bill payment.
This offering generated remarkable advances for the Operator within the first months
of service. The dramatic expansion in accessibility for customers has resulted in improved
customer satisfaction, high rates of on-time bill payments and increased demand for post
paid subscription. The Nepal market is dominated by prepaid users, by facilitating a
simple and successful method for post paid bill payment, eServGlobal has expanded access
to a lucrative market for the Operator.
Nepal Telecom chose eServGlobal's technology for this project because they required a
recharge management system which could unify all types of recharge for their prepaid
services while simultaneously connecting to different IN systems. eServGlobal's technology
is network agnostic and can easily interwork with any IN. The platform has field proven
references with key players in the industry and is capable of flexibly managing hundreds
of thousands of agents.
"The results achieved within just a few months have far exceeded our expectations,"
said Vishnu Kasaju, Director MSD, Nepal Telecom, "the expertise and dedication of the
eServGlobal team has produced a sophisticated solution which is now a core element of our
offering."
"We are committed to providing mobile operators with ways to continually enrich their
service offering to increase the satisfaction of their subscriber base. The bill payment
service has a strong return on investment. Converting subscribers from prepaid to post
paid increases both customer retention and operator ARPU," said Craig Halliday, CEO,
eServGlobal.
Nepal Telecom are the largest mobile network operator in the country with over 6
million subscribers.

Drishti's Ameyo Launches Agent Screen Recording for Improving Agent Efficiency
GURGAON, India, July 30, 2012/PRNewswire/ --
Ameyo 3.0 With Enhanced Agent Screen Recording
In today's technology-focused society, CRM is the buzzword, but not the sole answer to
enhance customer satisfaction and experience. Contact centers and enterprises heavily rely
on technological tools [http://www.drishti-soft.com/product.php ] for answering challenges
presented to them by a dynamic and demanding customer base which yearns for better service
delivery [http://www.drishti-soft.com/businessleadership ] and quicker turnaround time.
The heart of the problem lies in the industry's ability to overlook the most basic
principle affecting customer satisfaction - the agent. Agent monitoring too often is seen
as a task instead of a critical function that affects service levels and call performance.
Although, it is erstwhile to note that if done correctly agent monitoring always improves
a call center's performance.
Sachin Bhatia, VP - Business Development at Drishti Soft explains the need saying, "In
the new multimedia communication era, the customers have taken charge of how they wish to
communicate, and businesses need to be ready. Any organization's CRM strategy is only as
strong as its weakest link, and the building blocks of any such process are agents. The
business can implement new technology; however, if they do not evolve agent skills, they
will fail. Continuous agent skill development begins with agent monitoring. If an agent is
to be developed, his skills need to be coached, improved and monitored."
Keeping these challenges in mind the R&D team at Drishti has come up with the Agent
Screen Recording tool. In its basic variant, it automates the agent-evaluation process and
creates a depository of qualitative data that can be analysed for specific skill based
trainings for individual agents.
Many call centers perform redundant monitoring without satisfying the goals of agent
skill development. The same physics applies to a company when it is about to spend a large
sum of its capital budget for the latest technology solution. Does it meet the optimal
needs for agent monitoring and training?
The questions may vary slightly for specific industry and business needs, but the
global answer is the same: Drive higher revenue from your customer base through
better-developed agent skills to improve customer satisfaction and retention.
Ameyo's Agent Screen Recording Tool is aimed at support processes for contact centers
and enterprises that require a technology to enhance agent efficiency and drive customer
satisfaction.

READING, England, July 30, 2012 PRNewswire/ -- CommVault (NASDAQ: CVLT) -- CommVault and Fujitsu today expanded their partnership to deliver integrated hardware snapshots and replication for Fujitsu ETERNUS DX storage arrays powered by CommVault® Simpana® 9 software. The integrated solution offers modern data management capabilities for enterprises of all sizes to protect their most demanding virtual and physical environments and enable nearly instant data recovery without impacting performance.
CommVault offers technology access and open, unified hardware snapshot management across multiple storage systems as part of its IntelliSnap(TM) Connect Program. As a result of these innovations and its Solving Forward® vision, CommVault is enabling high-performance storage vendors such as Fujitsu to integrate their array-based snapshot solutions with the hardware snapshot data protection module in CommVault Simpana® software.
CommVault® Simpana® 9 software's compatibility with Fujitsu ETERNUS DX S2 Series storage systems, reduces the cost, complexity and risk associated with hardware snapshot management by eliminating the need to create and maintain scripts or manage numerous storage array tools and consoles. By automating snapshot copies of data using the ETERNUS DX S2 Series and CommVault Simpana software, backup times can be slashed without impacting production. Fujitsu customers can also use Simpana software to copy data from ETERNUS DX systems to ETERNUS CS data protection appliances, delivering a powerful yet economical combination of short-term data protection with long-term data retention, on disk, tape or the cloud.
The centralized management of application data across disk and tape storage also lets customers reap the efficiency and performance benefits of a tiered storage strategy by incorporating Fujitsu's scalable, ETERNUS DX disk storage family, which ranges from entry-level arrays to high-end data center-class systems. Customers can facilitate fast, granular recoveries of individual objects, files, whole volumes or entire applications with robust support for Microsoft, Oracle, IBM and SAP databases and Windows, Linux, and Unix file systems.
As part of the partnership, Fujitsu - one of the world's largest IT service providers - offers pre- and post-sales services for Simpana software and collaborates with CommVault to provide maintenance services.
Industry-Leading IntelliSnap Integration and Innovation Extends the Power of Snapshot Technology
According to Gartner Inc.'s report, "Magic Quadrant: Enterprise Backup/Recovery Software"[1], which was published June 11, 2012 and positioned CommVault in the "Leaders" quadrant, "By 2015, at least 25 percent of large enterprises will have given up on conventional backup/recovery software, and will employ snapshot and replication techniques instead."
Through this expanded partnership with Fujitsu, customers worldwide can extend the value of their existing storage hardware investments while addressing 24x7 data uptime and accessibility challenges with modern data management techniques such as automating space-efficient snapshots, global deduplication and comprehensive reporting.
As part of the IntelliSnap(TM) Connect Program, CommVault enables disk array vendors to integrate their array-based snapshot solutions so that they are compatible with the SnapProtect® module in CommVault Simpana® software. With Simpana® software and Qualified IntelliSnap(TM) Connect Arrays, customers can further consolidate and extend their SAN investments for greater efficiency and accelerated backup and recovery performance while reducing recovery costs and minimizing the risk of data loss.
Supporting Quotes
"Today's enterprise requires a highly agile IT infrastructure that can anticipate emerging backup and recovery needs and effortlessly scale as users' data and information management needs grow," said Jeff Echols, senior director of marketing and business development, CommVault. "By integrating our Simpana software to work with Fujitsu ETERNUS DX storage, customers can ensure their data is always available to deliver better value to their organization."
"The support of Fujitsu ETERNUS DX and ETERNUS CS is a major milestone in the relationship between Fujitsu and CommVault,"said Marcus Schneider, head of product development group, Storage, Fujitsu Technology Solutions. "It provides our customers with a seamless, end-to-end approach to snapshot-based data protection. Now you can use Simpana to create a snapshot on an ETERNUS DX system and send it to its final target on an ETERNUS CS. We are very excited about this and our future plans of joint engineering."

Suspect Detection System's Counter Terror Technology Tested at Railway Terminal in Major World Capital
NEW YORK, July 27, 2012/PRNewswire/ --
Suspect Detection Systems Inc., (OTCBB: SDSS), a developer of counter terror and crime
prevention technology, announced today that the company has completed a significant proof
of concept pilot at a major railway terminal in one of the world's largest capital cities.
Several hundred passengers were screened in real-time conditions over a period of four
days using the company's proprietary Cogito technology. The large-scale pilot was carried
out under the full auspices and supervision of the nation's major security and law
enforcement agencies. The pilot was performed in cooperation with a governmental defense
contractor.
As a result of the pilot, negotiations have accelerated toward the full integration of
Cogito at similar terminals the across the country. The company is currently involved in
advanced discussions with the defense contractor as well as local agents.
"Successful completion of a pilot together with law enforcement agents in such a large
country represents a major milestone for Suspect Detection Systems and Cogito Technology,"
said Gil Boosidan, CEO of Suspect Detection Systems Inc. "I am extremely glad that
negotiations are advancing toward mass-scale commercial implementation in a large country
that is committed ideologically and financially to rooting out terror."
The pilot demonstrated Suspect Detection System's multi-tiered approach to terminal
security, utilizing two separate variants of Cogito Technology. The first level employed
the Cogito C300R Remote Mass Thermal-based Screening System. This remote technology is
employed to instantly isolate potential terrorists and criminals from a crowd that may be
carrying contraband including narcotics, weapons and explosives.
The second level employed the Cogito 4M fully automated Rapid Interrogation System.
This technology is used to identify suspects harboring intent to commit a criminal or
terrorist act, as well as to expose a suspect's ties to larger crime rings or terror
organizations. The interrogation system was utilized on subjects identified by the remote
mass screening process.
The Cogito Rapid Interrogation System is currently in commercial use by federal
agencies and private sector businesses across the world, most notably in Mexico and India.
Cogito is also being employed in Colombia, Guatemala and South Africa. Cogito has also
been successfully tested in the United States.
About Suspect Detection Systems
