The PSoC(®) 4 BLE Programmable System-on-Chip and PRoC(TM) BLE Programmable Radio-on-Chip solutions each now have an option for a micro-ball Chip Scale Package (CSP) optimized to bring Bluetooth Smart connectivity to secure credit card applications. The package is only 0.38-mm thick, making the reliable and fully Bluetooth-certified solutions ideal to replace chip-on-board devices.

Cypress also offers solutions with an extended industrial temperature range option with operation from -40 degrees C to +105 degrees C. Developed to support a broad range of law enforcement and public safety missions on a 24/7 basis, the new downlink system utilizes a multiband transmission design to provide full interoperability with the transmission solutions of regional partners.  During major operations, the new system allows the Department to share live video and data with other law enforcement and government agencies, enhancing its ability to coordinate effective joint responses.

First announced in January at the North American International Auto Show as Verizon Vehicle,hum provides subscribers with a self-installed solution that helps predict potential issues, prevents breakdowns and offers protection when problems do arise. At the simple press of a button, drivers receive diagnostic information, pinpoint roadside assistance and live consultation with ASE-certified mechanics and emergency personnel on-demand.

How hum works
Subscribers simply install hum through an onboard diagnostic (OBD) reader that is plugged into the vehicle's OBD port, and a Bluetooth-enabled device that is clipped to the visor. The monthly subscription also includes a smartphone app allowing subscribers to monitor their vehicle health, contact help, and manage maintenance needs, even when they are not behind the wheel.

Through GPS-based technology, hum helps accurately dispatch advanced roadside assistance, alerts emergency personnel of a car's location if a crash is detected, and assists authorities in locating a vehicle that has been reported stolen.

This versatile and fully-featured record and replay solution can record primary radar
video and associated tracks, as well as AIS, ADS-B, IFF and NMEA-0183 navigation data from
ship and aircraft transponders. Network packet messages including H.264 video streams and
camera data can also be recorded.

    The Radar Data Recorder is designed for both session recordings, for example during
expensive radar trials or system testing to capture data for later review, and for
continuous recording in deployed systems. The product captures a wide range of data types
and formats simultaneously within a synchronised data file structure, time-stamping and
recording direct to fixed or removable storage media.

    Up to three radars may be recorded as either radar signals - digitised using Cambridge
Pixel's HPX-200 card, or ASTERIX CAT-240 network video, with other specialised or
proprietary radar network formats also supported. On replay, the video may be output as
radar signals or as ASTERIX data.

Inspur Launched InCloudRack at IDF 2015

Technical advantages of Inspur InCloud Rack lie in its breaking the I/O interconnection bottleneck, constructing a distributed network through the UNE (Unified Network Engine), and enabling centralized pooling and unified resources scheduling through software defining. As emphasized by Leijun Hu, Vice President of Inspur Group, the Inspur InCloudRack as an ideal solution to private cloud IaaS, achieves the goal of "rack as a computer", and represents the future direction of rack scale system.

The overall modular design of rack scale system, the centralized power, cooling and control modules, together with various nodes (including eight-way, four-way and two-way computing nodes, storage nodes, GPU coprocessor nodes, micro-server nodes, etc.) enable the Inspur InCloudRack to offer the richest expansion solutions across the industry. The network design of InCloudRack prevails over that of traditional network. To be specific, the efficiency of communication among nodes is substantially enhanced, with a communication delay decreased by 77% from 10 microseconds (between traditional server nodes) to 2.3 microseconds (between InCloudRack nodes). The I/O problems that have long been constraining the server performance are solved accordingly. On the other hand, InCloudRack distributed network of both flexibility and expansibility, can be redistributed in accordance with the load in a software-defined way.
